This is what I dont get either. Why no XP for capturing ships when its much much harder to do at lower levels than sinking? I can see no gold since your getting the ship and its cargo, but it should at least give XP for the effort. Makes no sense.

What we have now for an alliance is a result of voting by one group , and their alliance alts. At the onset, there were at least 5-6 other smaller groups that opposed this but were powerless to do anything about it despite what all the propaganda would have one believe. The mechanics of Politics are fundamentally broken and need fixing. I believe , and at the very least hope, that this is being monitored by the developers and is addressed accordingly. One group in any nation should not have that much "pull" or the rest of that nation is subject to their decisions. Which in recent history has certainly shown not always to be the best thing for the nation for sure. Player controlled mmo games have always failed. I think to an extent the core game mechanics should prevent this.

Problem is the noobs don't get invited into battle groups because of 2 things. 1- they are not part of the 'clique" . And 2- the fear of spies. The second one could be helped if you didnt have admitted alts posting in nation chat (summer006). The first one is a little more complicated since noobs are often shunned and labeled care bears or farmers. But that seems to be lightening up a bit here lately. I try to offer up info whenever I see a question being asked. But my time ingame is getting to be less and less thee days.

Well, not exactly. The Pirates asked for Corientes until they took Conttoy as a jumping off point and then GB could take it after. Then Corientes was taken ,while the pirates were in another battle mind you so they couldn't do anything about, meanwhile a back door deal was being made with the US unbeknown to any of us. Herein lies the backstabbing. Irrelevant now really though, it is what it is. I've learned that its better to be a little more aware of whats going on around you , and not let someone with an ego you need to carry in a wheelbarrow make decisions for me. A good learning experience. At least we come away a little smarter.

Lots of mis information floating around. Understandably so given the turn of events and the desire to remain "popular". Funny stuff. Truth of the matter is is that many players keep beating the " Doesn't matter, port wipe is coming" drum and furthering the misinformation. Its really more of a dis service since the port wipe , given the mechanics that are going to be involved going ahead' isn't going to be the " magic bullet" everyone is touting it to be. As a matter of fact its playing right into the hands of the tactics that are killing us now. And our alliance is totally useless , but the same majority keep voting it in (that system needs fixed as well if this game is to survive) because of active badgering of the new players who don't know better. We've been in working alliances before, and this aint it. Hell, the Dutch do more for us , and they are a fraction of the size of our "allies". I'd leave , but its like a train wreck. I just.. have to... stay... and... watch. Good time for crafting anyways. If anything, I hope that this all provides useful info for further development. Happy sailing.

Funny thing is ,Its them jack asses that are paying that price. we'll just call it "payment for the colossal fuck up against the pirates since we now have no ports to trade out of thanks to you (CKA) guys". LOL

Funny thing is hojo makes like he knows me. I've never sailed with him. He never showed up until after I stopped associating with CKA. Then he makes me out to be a merchant when in reality I've probably PVP'd 10x more than he has. Ask any one.Then proceeds to say" oh I was only joking , I explained that and you left that out" to make him look less then the tool that he is. Bullshit. Prove it. Lies and misinformation.
