Such a design was already in use in the 17th century, but in Amsterdam history other designs in the colors red, black and white were also used. Sometimes the three Andrew's crosses were placed in the white orbit of the red-white-blue. [1] The Amsterdam flag is common in the street scene of Amsterdam. 7. let us be aware of the the british and/or the french guns it has a other metric system i do not know for witch guns this is in practise.
  8. in those days guns where a significant deal of the package to equip a ship overall i think that you can miss 100k reales easily you are not a poor kaptain so i don't see a problem for you if you look closely you will see that in my proposal the guns for the smaller captains are still available in abundance at any port for the the younger captain... you don't have to be scared. by the way you can produce 18 longs for a good price yourself
  9. an effect I noticed was the following: it may not belong here, but it is certainly a side effect with regard to the weapons ... because the speed and therefore the turn speed has been adjusted (it has become slower) the window that arises for the guns to penetrate has got bigger .. (you see the side or the back longer) which has increased the effectiveness of penetration .. this is something that benefits reloading and penetration. which can certainly be seen in AI that continues to penetrate like a rocket because of the slower speed to angel the ship This is something that clearly floats to the surface in battles at Ai but also in PVP battles perhaps the drop in speed on large ships and the turning speed is a bit too much or there must be an adjustment in one of the two (turn speed or general speed of the ship) especially now that the weapons are being adjusted, we really have to look at whether or not to spoil the real gaming experience by ships that use it conveniently without a response from the big ships, (which can spoil the gaming experience) this phenomenon can not be overlooked ...this can become a serious issue.
  10. Goodday everyone, One issue that I don't see in the proposals is that currently the medium guns above 18 pounds are available via AI for a ridiculously low price medium guns are available in abundance, above 18 pounds which causes a one sided imbalance for the weapon maker and where the price for that totally does not match the other guns I fully understand that for the small captains the weapon must be available for a low and advantageous price, which is totally justified but that does not alter the fact that medium guns above 18 pounds belong to the advanced captain who takes advantage of them at the expense of other guns above 18 pounds (such as 18 pounds long) I would like to see an adjustment in the weapons above the 18lb medium that can only be made by the gunsmith whereby the medium weapon under the 18lb medium by the Ai as now supplied remains in the weapon store as it is it's just an idea but I think it is a logical idea that does justice to availability and the arms trade in general
  11. me to it take 3 sec to select stuff or a schip. or make changes but not in battle
  12. He does not live in china he is boss and cant fire himself that would be very odd for the rest of the crew .(and us NA players)
  13. also a very good book is from the writer Nicholas Monsarrat historical novel titled The Master Mariner. Based on the legend of the Wandering Jew, it told the story of an Elizabethan English seaman who, as punishment for a terrible act of cowardice, is doomed to sail the world's seas until the end of time. His hero participates in critical moments in history; Monsarrat used him to illustrate the central role of seamen the book tells a story about a immortal sailor wandering true time in different time zones . just like we do in NA

  17. Flag proposal: Noord-Brabant Dimensions 2:3 Noord-Brabant Noord -Brabant 1514-1795 History The North Brabant flag dates from the Middle Ages. Since the proclamation of the County of Leuven during the Lorraine period, the colors red and white appear in Brabant standards, flags and pennants. The Duchy of Brabant adopted these colors. During the Middle Ages and the centuries* that followed, red and white were widely used. Ships in particular sail under a red and white flag, especially in Antwerp. The flag fell into disuse at the end of the 18th century. The red and white checkered flag has only been the official flag of the province of Noord-Brabant since 1959. course : https://www.wikiwand.com/nl/Vlag_van_Noord-Brabant note*: This flag has the highest seniority in the netherlands (first on the left, so it's a important flag) final.
  18. especially when you are a believer of the flat earth theory also in those days they believed the earth was flat .... but i believe it has something to do with the rendering ...

    RIGG Locked up

his crew is in shock and the captain ....also.. next time make a f11 (report) and a proper full screenshot f12 (evidence) for investigation you can do this in battle and or right after that particular battle . otherwise no redeeming possibility . without a proper visual + evidence sent. you get a (nap 12345 report in top section next battle) what you can put in the report section on the support forum in your complaint .
  21. i more think that he is meaning>>>> the amount of people from the pve server>>>> joining the pvp server (in some sort of neutral mechanic ) just for the benefit of a more vibrant eco environment on the pvp server.
  22. Some history on the black flag and their meaning. at some given time ....symbols mean something When wars ended, naval men and privateers found themselves with too much free time and not enough money. These unemployed men turned to piracy. So These pirates desired a new type of flag to fly their ships. Originally, they adopted the flag that privateers had always used: the simple red flag. The red flag was a symbol for blood and acted as a warning. It told enemy ships that, if they lost, no quarter (mercy) would be shown on them. The red flag was a vicious symbol of piracy and was the most common flag during the early years of Piracy. Pirate flag of : christopher moody , the most vicious pirate captain, he held no quarter policy that's why the flag is red Slowly, pirate captains abandoned the red flag for the much more infamous black flag. Black was chosen because the color was associated with death. Black first became associated with death after the Black Plague. Ships carrying passengers infested with the plague flew a yellow and black checked flag to warn other vessels against approaching. The plague flag flown over infested ships The symbolic black flag was actually a more welcoming site than the red flag to other vessels. When the black flag was shown, it meant that if the other ship surrendered, quarter (mercy) would be shown to those on board. This became a tactic of captains because pirate vessels could only fight so many battles. Often, the vessels were smaller, had less weapons, and less men than the vessels that they were attempting to take control of. This left the pirates at a disadvantage. But if a pirate could scare an enemy into surrendering with the promise of quarter, no battle would have to be fought. Pirate captains gained a reputation. Some gained the reputation of being a brutal and fearless fighters, others gained the reputation of being kind to captives, others gained both. If a vessel saw the flag of a brutal captain, they were more likely to surrender than fight a losing battle. If a vessel saw the flag of a kinder captain, they were more likely to surrender to live another day rather than flipping the coin in a battle. Either way, the flag was (also) a psychological weapon. Just to scare other ships into surrendering. If the other ship did not surrender, their crew would at least be shaken with the fear of facing doom. Each captain had their own distinct flag here are some examples, but there where many more of them . The Black Flag Also their was the single Black battle flag at sea when this flag was flown, it means : Death of one of the Head officers .and was meant to be a request for pratique in this case at sea and a free pass for burial at the home land. a officially recorded incident where the black flag was officially ordered and raised was at the battle agosta When Admiral Du Quesne learned that De Ruyter was mortally wounded, he stopped fighting and withdrew his fleet out of respect for the naval hero.(also to be seen in the movie the admiral) Tribute Something remarkable happened when "De Eendracht "( ship of the ruyter) "headed for the Republic with the body of De Ruyter from Sicily. In the French cities where the Eendracht passed, salute shots were fired as a tribute to the Dutch sea hero. Louis XIV of France ordered this, while France and the Republic were still at war at the time.
  23. Respect is a key word in the early days of seafaring in this game there is no respect from players to other players except in a battle with GG /GJ or thank you for the battle.(but that fades away as time progress) perhaps a mechanic should build in like : bounty or respect/reputation points given by players for doing battle >>> something for the future i guess. (new mechanic?) in the meantime there is NO respect from others what is a bloody shame to begin with .. ps.there are reputation point on the forum thow
  24. As a ship builder myself i agree to point 1 ask yourself : "" why should you build crap based on RNG? """
