The French are very organized. They are organized to live out of Free ports and do OW pvp since they have to sail across the map to find PVP. The French are organized to do exactly what they want to do. Most of the discussion about getting organized is about port battles which the French couldn't care less about. No matter how many times you tell the Pirates players something they just don't seem to get it.

Again like others said above was a player decision not the developers. France has been doing nothing but OW pvp since the reset. All you need for that is your base county that can't be taken. If France could do it the Pirates could as well. Either you are over exaggerating or you just simply don't understand the diversity of the game mechanics that exist in NA.

Re-read your post. It says. You weren't talking about PB's you were talking about open water. I stand by what I said. I could respect your thoughts but the Pirates never show up to PVP.

Oh... I love this. The entire French team could go Pirate than it would be so much easier to get some OW pvp. Now that you mention it maybe the entire server should be Pirate. That might be the only way to solve all these problems.

You clearly don't understand the French at all regardless of how many times you are told. While I agree camping capitols is certainly not the healthiest thing for a server where does a nation go that just wants open water PVP? France wants OW pvp and if that means burning every bridge on the server to get it that is what they will do. They punched the Pirates in the face because that was the one place they thought they would get OW pvp. France was wrong. The Pirates want to play another game that France doesn't want to play. France may lose players but it will be over a lack of PVP not dots. I know you have trouble with this concept but just maybe you should start taking what we say at face value then maybe we can get somewhere. This brings us back to the issue at hand that Teutonic raises. You have players in France that just want to OW pvp, you have the Pirates that only want to take dots, then you have the Brits and US who are stuck in the middle somewhere. The game has failed to bring all players together that want different kinds of PVP. In the end no one is satisfied including the guys that want 1v1 solo fights. I honestly don't know how you bring everyone together that all want different kinds of PVP. This game has managed to separate all of them. Unlike WWII on-line and other products who seem to build an RVR component that incorporated everything.

That picture is a perfect representation of his personality. The dude is flat out strange. Imagine 3 hours of nation chat of the stuff he said up above. Literally every 2 mins he was trolling Slamz for 3 straight hours.

I can't speak for all of France but I can speak for Purge. If you see any Purge using Brits or American's to cheat send it to me and I will end it. I can promise you that if I am in a battle with Brits, I am trying to sink them. I can also tell you that I would be highly critical of any French clan publicly and privately that used such tactics if I found out about it. Purge will not be associating with cheaters.

I recommend you should keep this a secret. I would not make this a public thing. The intent is good but it does put a lot of PVP targets all in one spot. Just saying...

My point is small ships can kill people just as effectively as big ships. To be worth nothing in PVP is only asking for more alt abuses. Your original solution solves nothing by giving one segment of the population everything to gain and nothing to lose and another segment everything to lose and nothing to gain. Basically if you want newbs protected this is not the way to go about it.

So now players are responsible for maintaining ISP info as well? That is just dumb. You want to play an alt on another team, you get all the crap that comes with that. Apparently you weren't paying attention. I have been attacking everyone perfidiously since day 1 with exception of the Danes for a few weeks.

I think you already know the answer. France would rather fight.

We all play on a pvp server so we are all PVP players. It is good to know NA can satisfy multiple types for multiple kinds of players.

This is a great question Mike. The answer is occasionally. This really comes down to 3 things. 1. PB's are interesting contest of guessing but generally it is not about fighting. The confined space and the point system essentially mean a few boats might get sunk but they are very un-bloody affairs. That is not to say that they can't be but generally they aren't. 2. Sailing to a small box and sitting in it is not any representation of fighting with sailing ships. France excels at and prefers open water maneuvering battles where we can fight in multiple kinds of ships. Purge killed a Santi last night with 2 Cerbs. You can't do those kinds of things in a port battle. 3. PB's require grinding to create PVP. blah... I am not knocking those captains that like PB's but if you dislike PVE the most reliable form of PVP is not Port Battles but open world PVP. French clans just all agree that we all prefer OW pvp to PB's. It is more fun for France, we get to sail different kinds of ships, we get to use different tactics and we only have to do minimal amount of PVE to generate it. Finally it is what France does well. France is full of really good ow pvpers. Regardless of what people think about France I don't think anyone would deny we have some really good ow pvpers. We aren't line fighters and we would probably all suck at it anyway so why not just do what we do well? We are a team of guerilla fighters, we might as well be guerilla fighters. I will never forget our first PB when I knew what kind of nation we were going to have. Teutonic asked for volunteers to screen for the PB and every single clan volunteered for screener duty. Teutonic said in TS, "Well someone has to actually fight the Port Battle..." All he got in response was a bunch of groans. When you are having to fight over who will get to screen I think pretty much describes what kind players chose France.

After reading through this post again, I would say there were 7 or 8 different idea's on what ganking is. You can't fix something that can't be defined.

No that wasn't the point. The point was it is a win for France no matter what decision the Pirates make. Pirates come in non rated ships we get an OW fight. Pirates come in rated ships, we kill screeners, we get an OW fight. If the Pirates don't show up we take the port so we can teleport to get more OW fights. Once you grasp what motivates the French the strategy is very simple. We want OW PVP. We will do whatever we can to generate OW pvp, hell we don't even need to win. We just want as much OW pvp as we can get from the time we log in until the time we all go to bed. We keep telling people what we are looking for and people just refuse to grasp how France wants to play the game.

You can come up with a new name if you like but purposely scheduling PB's when you know the defender won't be around isn't PVP. In-fact it is the exact opposite.
