  1. There is a warning if you have no available slots in your warehouse. You were incredibly lucky that 3 BPs dropped in one build, it's just incredibly uncommon for it to occur and could potentially give away new BPs that the devs introduce without including them in patch notes (they did this with the essex) if they were to say you need X number of slots available. Sure, we can check the API now and see what's new, but for those that don't know how, it removes any excitement of discovering a new ship BP that wasn't announced. In what way am I wrong? If the devs wanted there to be no risk of losing BPs, they wouldn't drop the way they do, and there'd be no RNG involved in getting them. Therefore the current system isn't flawed.
  2. That is, most certainly your fault. Certain ships can drop 3 or 4 blueprints (potentially) so you should always leave enough room for all possible drops. It's not a flaw in the system.
  3. The impact would bend the hull, fracturing the planking and creating leaks underwater. I think rams are fine the way they are, if you're not careful you can sink from them, but they're not so pointless that it turns into bumper cars action.
  4. Or, instead added AI RNG into gunnery, just add another toggle like we have for convergence and fire mode, that changes firing speed. Set it to arbitrary numbers that would give 1st rates an option for a 3s broadside, a 5s, and a 7s. So you line up for a rake, set your convergence, fire mode, and then firing speed. Smaller ships would obviously have even faster firing speeds, given the number of guns. Perhaps even decrease accuracy based on the speed you're trying to fire the guns at, the faster you fire, the less time you're spending waiting for maximum accuracy / the gun to be dead on target, therefore you lose accuracy at the expense of RoF.
  5. Quality has nothing to do with how good they could or should be, only the % of the crew that will be marines. Every quality of marines has the same stats except one number, the % of crew. Does it mess with having a full gold upgrade build on a ship if you don't want to go with pure boarding, sure, but if you want fewer marines, just use a lower quality.
  6. I believe the Le Gros and 250k gold redeems were for an issue related to the PvE server not long ago. No other server got them, so it's unlikely you'd get them transferred.
  7. Please don't merge PvP2 with PvP1 + 3. Sure, it could use more population, but there has been plenty of action recently, and I'd hate to see the game lose people because they don't want to play on the toxic cesspool that is PvP1.
  8. I don't think a War mechanic is needed. Perhaps a simple voting system (above the 5th rank, 200 crew+) for the entire nation for port attacks. Takes 2-3 days of voting, if it has more than 50% votes in favor of it, then it's broadcast to the server. Server time can be used to plan the attack time, and the voting involves choosing a time (time with most votes in favor of the attack is selected). Attacks happen on a Saturday or Sunday (for the US server) at the selected time, incorporating the proposed battle mechanics. I think everyone should have a say in whether a port is attacked or not, not just the few that have gotten the most points in the other proposed mechanic...
  9. I think this is would be a step in the wrong direction. If you have to wait for crew to become available after losing a ship in combat, less people will be willing to PvP. A simple gold value added to crew, taken from the prize amount for each lost would be much simpler, and just as effective. Add in shares for the crew, deducted from the prize amount as well, and you can limit the rate / usage of first rates by making them even more valuable, rather than limiting people by how fast they can get crew again.
  10. A 3rd rate with 350 crew still hits just as hard as one with 650. The ships armor and broadside damage doesn't change, only the DPS, which unless you've made a terrible mistake, or are fighting side by side the entire time, barely factors into it.
  11. BR should never have anything to do with crew percentage. A Victory is just as lethal at 800 crew compared to 850, as is the Santisima. Every ship as long as you have 50% crew in gunnery is just as effective as one at 100%, providing you aren't using both broadsides at the same time.
  12. Did you have the space in the warehouse for it? If you only had 2 slots spare the BP is gone. Also try crafting Belle Poules for the Trincomalee BP, has a higher chance to drop
  13. We get admin Andy or Alex or some other admin on PvP2, hilariously they're usually around for a little while, and if you're lucky you can get intel from them.
  14. 30 minutes is sufficiently long enough. Sure, it wouldn't be hard to add an extra warning at 1 hour, but the maintenance time doesn't change... And if you're already at the point of fighting and capturing frigates, you should have learned the time it goes down by now.
  15. The maintenance is done at the same time every day to update the conquest map, restart the servers and ensure everything is okay for the next 23 hours. My suggestion is not to enter a battle in the hour leading up to the scheduled downtime unless you're confident you can complete the battle in that time.
  16. Well, maintenance is over... PvP1 and 3 and PvE just went back up... When can has ships back?
  17. There has been no mention of the server being taken down for good. Settle down. This has happened before, issues with providers took it down an hour or so after maint, it'll be back up when they resolve the issue.
  18. The problem is a lot of timers were initially set to around the 14-16 slot by SOB or various other mostly Australian groups. Those players are all but gone now, leaving us unable to reset timers, or at least change them to when the US players are online.
  19. That's commonly associated with a RAM issue. I'd suggest running Memtest for around 4 hours and seeing if you have any issues with your ram. Beyond that, try a fresh steam install (not the game but steam itself) and try again.
  20. Or even simpler, as most PB attacks are organized before purchasing the flag, have it set up where all the needed / expected players name have to be entered prior to the flag being bought, like a roster. 5 or 10 minutes after the port battle starting the roster can then be ignored and anyone else around / anyone that missed it can join after that point. Hell, you could even make flags bought with a roster (or something similar) cost more than it would for a flag anyone can join.
  21. I could have sworn there was chatter during that battle about SoB crafting SphinX a glorious St. Pavel to replace his lost 3rd rate after drawing a significant portion away from the fleet
  22. SphinX

    Huge FPS drop

It's caused by whatever changes were made to land masses. When you have no land in sight you get the same or similar FPS to when you were right outside a port prior to the update.
  23. Well it's down and says Update in the shard listing... so that's usually a pretty clear indication of the update... The lack of notice is a little disheartening though.
