  1. I've been busy with real life and the grind as well. The program is finished for creating the polars, so I'll create them whenever you get new numbers
  2. That's actually where I got the idea...I started out my career as an aerospace engineer The ultimate plan is to create comparisons between ships, as shown on the first page (Renomee vs Lynx)...thereby showing relative differences in speed. The previous graph on this page is just for a format example. I'm writing software to automate production of the comparison graphs. Most elements are already in place, other than final presentation, so I just wanted to fix the format before I go overboard on coding.
  3. New format for polars based on Jodgi's suggestions. I'm trying to get these as user friendly as possible before I work through the list of ships, so feel free to PM me suggestions if anyone has any additional improvements that they would like to see.
  4. Jodgi, I have been plotting some of these in polar coordinates in my spare time in the hope of creating a useful tool for players. If you would like, I can complete the ships and update whenever you post new numbers. Low resolution samples below:
  5. To whom it may concern, Several days ago, I was in an instance with three players (myself, Darksilver, and Deviant) and two npc Trader Snows (plus escorts). At the beginning of the match, it was decided via group chat that Dark and I would go after one Trader Snow, and Deviant would go after the other. Two additional players enter the match (NiMiTz, Karter Essemer). Whether they were pulled in via proximity or they entered after the start, I am uncertain. I was focusing on winds and figuring out an intercept course to the Trader Snow. The first time I noticed the additional players was when Dark re-typed our intention to capture the Snows in group chat. The other two players indicated that they would attempt to capture a Mercury that was escorting one of the Snows and leave the Trader Snows to us. This seemed reasonable, so I continued to focus on chaining the sails of the Snow that I had now caught up with. Suddenly I see the Snow's armor disappearing at a very rapid rate, and I notice NiMiTz in a Brig (far side and behind), shooting Ball at the Trader Snow. I immediately asked nimitz to stop shooting the Snow via group chat. Nimitz informed me that he was switching to chain. I wasn't overly happy about his presence since he said he was going after the Mercury...but it's an online game, and I'm pretty quick with the grapple key...so I figured I'd still end up boarding the Snow. I pull my Cerberus into position in front of the Snow and depower to bring the Snow to an immediate stop. At this point, nimitz in the Brig rams the Snow and reduces its turning radius, causing it to miss the side of my Cerberus completely, while he rams the side of my Cerberus instead of the Snow. After the miss, the Snow returns to best point and I resume the chase. I figured nimitz might have just not estimated his turn radius and accidentally rammed the Snow. No big deal...set up again. Again, I cut the Snow off and again, nimitz rams the Snow, forcing it to miss the side of my ship entirely. At this point, between nimitz originally shooting the Snow with Ball and then ramming it twice to force it to miss my ship and prevent my boarding...it's apparent that I'm up against a griefer. <video begins...see below> Note: Source of video is NiMiTz himself (and don't worry nimitz...I saved a copy in case you try to delete it from youtube). I've been griefed and trolled before, and the best thing is usually to just ignore them...which I did. I start to pull into position a 3rd time, and nimitz rams the ship a 3rd time, before I am even in position. I left my sails up to try to avoid the griefer again running into the side of my ship and causing leaks. I'm getting pretty annoyed at this point, but still ignore the griefer and set up for a 4th attempt to halt the Snow. Again, nimitz rams the Snow, and I keep my sails up to avoid the collision. I depowered and hoped to come about before the Snow escaped. However, before I could complete the maneuver, nimitz must have realized I was on to his tactic and he intentionally flipped the Snow to prevent my boarding (see video and his rudder position at 3:24...as his bow begins to ride up, he turns into the Snow rather than disengaging). He then attempted to cover up his intentional flipping of the Snow by saying "sorry" a bunch of times with caps lock on. NOTE: At 3:14, nimitz is in boarding focus, showing his true intention. He wanted the Snow, and was willing to ram and grief me to ensure that he got the Snow. When he realized that he was not going to capture it, he flipped and destroyed the Snow rather than allowing me to board it. Also note that at 0:00, nimitz is in boarding focus, indicating his intention was other than what he claims in his multiple posts. He wanted the Snow and would do anything to get it, including misrepresenting his intentions in group chat. I'm super annoyed at this point, so I shot nimitz with one broadside to give him a repair bill. NOTE: Nowhere does it say that green on green damage is prohibited in an EULA or in the game itself. The only place it appears is on this forum, which I did not even know about until today when someone told me that nimitz was trying to have me banned. There is already a mechanic in the game for negative XP when shooting green, so I assumed that this was the extent of it. Had I known there was an additional rule, I would have gone outside and kicked the dog instead (not really...don't even own a dog, but you get my meaning). So I guess I apologize for breaking a rule that no one informed me of. At this point, I go on my merry way and take a couple pot shots at the Mercury on my way past to reduce my XP loss and help Karter who seemed to be having trouble with it. Dark was apparently much more annoyed than I was, and decided to sink the griefer. Now this is where it gets interesting. Nimitz apparently knew of the rule against green on green damage, and through his actions, baited me into shooting him once and Dark into sinking him. Nimitz then starts multiple threads on the forums in an attempt to get me and Dark banned (which some people seem to have seen through his false pretense from the responses). Nimitz's own video tells the story. Nimitz makes no attempt to disengage from Dark...no attempt to flee...no attempt to survive. in fact, Nimitz constantly presents Dark with easy broadsides, slows down whenever Dark starts to fall behind, and never goes to survival focus when he is taking on water. Why? Because nimitz knows the rule about no green on green damage and intends to sink...he does everything he can in order to sink faster...he even furls his sails and turns into the wind, ensuring that his ship will take on water at the maximum rate possible...to ensure that he would sink before the battle ended. Since that day, nimitz has attempted to destroy my reputation and have me and Dark banned from the game entirely. Apparently Dark and Deviant responded to nimitz afterwards and offered to replace his brig after nimitz baited them (again) by saying that he had to sail around in a basic cutter...at which point nimitz accused them of trying to bribe him. Nimitz is a player who knew of a rule that others did not, and griefed other players until they fired on him. Nimitz is trying to use the rules as his own personal version of kneecapping players when he doesn't get to board the Snow or whatever it is that he wants to do. He then baited one of them further and tried to claim an offer to replace his ship was a bribe, when he solicited it by crying about the starter ship. Nimitz is a pathological liar who has misrepresented material facts to the tribunal section and to the community as a whole. I do not make that statement lightly, but there is sufficient proof in his own video to back up my accusation. Links to threads that nimitz has started and misrepresented events to the tribunal and community: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/9536-being-team-killed/ http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/9535-some-reallyreallybad-apples-and-some-good-ones/ http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/9624-is-bribery-legal-sorta/ Video (source: NiMiTz) With respect, Shoklar PS: A suggestion...if green on green damage is disallowed, perhaps a mechanic to notify the player in the game via visual warning and give the offending ship reload shock every time green damage is reported would help.
