  1. i dont know anything about that. so far i blamed my memory for lack of performance in other games i play (Arma 3, Space Engineers for example)
  2. every single Watt of electrical power is produced by steam-turbines or water-turbines, so yes it is powered by water wheel edit: forgot about wind and solar, but they are negligible.
  3. btw, that abomination up there is proof that moors law is not true ;D
  4. today i looted 1018 doubloons from a russian diana, it was all in one stack. seems like theres a lot of rng involved in the amount you get, but with this drop i think its clear that there is no need to increase the maximum amount possible.
  5. yeah would be nice for guys on weaker pc's to go for a 2D background in the port. my problem here is that my pc is on the edge where it can handle the port ui fine, only it gets damn loud without the fps limit ;(
  6. how about you take a raid mission like you would take a hostility order. when you sail there and start it, you spawn some distance away from the port, any defenders spawn at the docks. in order to do a succsessful raid, you have to shoot at the town, but you have to destroy the coast defense first. if you manage to do that you can claim the raid reward back in your port. a raided port doesnt generate tax, resources or trade goods for 2-3 days. no extra reward for the defender, apart from a lot of doubloons for the sunk attackers. perhaps a limit in defender br to match the attackers br. maybe an ingame warning for a port beeing raided? edit: sounds somewhat like a portbattle now that i read it, but simply sail there and get a chest is way to easy
  7. sounds like a single player could generate 200 chest or however many enemy ports there are, with no risk at all, if a enemy showes up, he can simply enter the port with his trader. and should a raid involve traders at all? normally they are the targets of a raid. would like to have a raid mechanic very much, but it should have a lot of cannon fire and destruction.
  8. ahoy, since my pc is not the newest one, i use the fps limit option in the graphic settings. without them, my pc generates between 40 and 60 fps, but it runs on a high load and is very loud. so i limit my fps on open world and in battle to 30. that way my pc is not running on full load and is reasonable quiet. but when i enter a port, my graphics card starts screaming. because of that, i allways have to close the game now when i go afk or to windows for a while, because i dont wont my pc running on max load and make all that noise for no reason. can you add an fps limit function like you have for open world and battle to the graphic options for the port interface? o7 edit: my hardware: Asus P5Q Pro Mainboard 6GB DDR 2 Ram Core2Quad Q9650 running at 3.8Ghz Radeon R9 200 Series with 2GB (i believe it was a 260) Windown 7 64bit running on some standard HDD the SSD you see there died a few years ago, the pc didnt get cleaner since then ;D oh and the graka in this picture is not the radeon i am running now

  11. what prevents you from chaining an enemy when a friendly ship is blocking your shots? what prevents you to do hull damage if half your broadside is covered by a friedly ship? why not make it so that shots go through friendly ships and only interact with enemy ships? you could sail broad to broadside with 10 firendlys and hit the enemy with 10 broadsides at once! wouldnt that be fun?
  12. Hi there, how and why can you get a combat order vs neutral? would be useful to know so you can grind in total safety like this guy right infront of tumbado? 😆
  13. ppl where asking for this for aslong as i can remember playing this game. one hopes it might be added with the ui overhaul. how hard can it be?

  17. Ahoy folks! I would like to have a "throw Dice" button on the chatwindow, that posts the results in the chat wich is curretly open. There are a ton of things you could use them for, rolling for a captured ship or just for some money for example.
