  1. Ahoy, ich nehme an mit Linienschiffen meinst du 1st Rates? Stimmt schon das die Vic etwas wendiger ist als die anderen beiden, auch etwas schneller und mit nem besseren Sailingprofile auf Kurs geen den Wind. Dafür weniger Feuerkraft und HP. Wenn du die Stats im Detail vergleichen willst, empfehle ich diese Seite: https://na-map.netlify.com/ oben rechts auf Game Tools -> Compare: Ships da kannst du verschiedene Schiffe oder die gleichen mit unterschiedlichem Holz vergleichen, siehst alle Stats und das Sailingprofile
  2. 1st: KURUC clan tried to flip Santa Marta for one week, we tried to help them, but abandoned the effort after we realized we could not overcome the negative hostility generated by sinking KURUC members in the hostilit missions. 2nd: We (CABAL) took the port ourselves to close the front until a clan would show up that would be able to hold onto the port should things get hairy. 3rd: KURUC clan captured multiple small ports and switched them to neutral to harbor raiders, trying to blackmail us to give them Santa Marta. 4th: A prussian Clan decided to switch to VP and was interested in Santa Marta as their base. We let them take the port allready, as they still had cooldown on forger dlc, so they could establish a outpost down here. 5th: Because of the hostile and unfriedly attitude of KURUC clan wich would not listen to reason and continued to make threats against any major clan in VP, Baranquilla was given to the Prussian clan aswell, so they could establish a resource port close to their base. 6th: this thread
  3. There have been other nations reduced to one port in the past, some more than once. In the beginning i started as Dutch and was part of a campaign to reduce the french to a minimal size. It didnt kill France. Then EA steam release happened. It went back and forth between VP and France. Meanwhile we helped to reduce Sweden to one port (it didnt kill Sweden), after a while the french got support by the russian Danes and reduced the dutch to allmost one port. It didnt kill the dutch. As i played in Sweden, we had a long and successfull campain against the russians, it didnt kill Russia. After a while then, the russians gained the upper hand, capturing important swedish ports right at our doorstep, an most of those we took from them half a year befor. It didnt kill sweden. Typical french attitude to complain about something that didnt even happen yet, but if it does, you will still be here 2 year later to tell us the same sad storys, im sure of it
  4. Should the game be renamed "Naval Ganking" please? Wanna show in this topic the most valuables and courageous players actions in best ganking battles ever seen... Share your's! Maybe one day a brilliant dev would be concerned...
  5. i believe there is a way to use pedals for car/aircraft sims for rudder input, but it didnt try it
  6. I have no idea about streaming and AMD, but given that i can play with a resolution of 1920x1200 on medium settings with 60fps+ (limited to 30 because of noise tho) on my 11 year old pc, im pretty sure you can run this game on allmost anything ;D
  7. I heared that they made it a 3rd rate because of its high HP, and it makes sense if you only look at HP. But ofcourse it doesnt stand a chance vs other 3rd rates, even if it had 3 times the hp it has now

Ahoy, I assume other players allready complained about this, but today was the first time i ran into problems regarding the Constitutions too high BR, so heres the deal: It is allready hard enough to fight 4th rates with this ship, as they all have an big advantage regarding firepower and turnrate. The worst thing about it is, that if you attack a ship like that, wich can outturn and outDPS you easily, the battle wont close since the Constitution has more BR. Since that battle didnt close, i had to run away. Its hard enough allready to fight an Agga 1v1 with this ship, i did not want to have to fight a 2nd rate at the same time. It seems like 5th rates and traders are the only ships i can fight, since i can sink those befor reenforcements arrive. Please change something to make this beautiful ship compatible with 4thRates again. o7 edit: Apart from the problems mentioned above, it also has no place in the patrol zones, since it cant enter battles in the 4th rate zone, and in the solo zone it has to fight against Bellonas and other proper 3rd rates.
  9. yeah im sure its pretty close, was just wondering if that is the exact formula? one could imagine other factors (grain orientation in the plankings wood for example should give more thickness on a horizontal angle then on a vertical angle)
  10. i still dont understand why that man who doesnt have the time for a single battle (worst case 1,5h battle plus sailing towarts it and back = more then two hours) has to handycap himself by turning this into a singleplayer game? why not combine his manhours with 9 other 2h-a-day-mans and suddently have the eco power of a 20h-a-day-man. with that he and the other 9 can get any ship without a problems. specially since he wont have the time to loose all those ships a 20h per day gameplay can provide them every day?

  15. Ahoy Captains, i hereby propose two new DLC's to be added to the game to increase encounters on Open World: 1st: The Kraken DLC: Lets you take control of the mighty immortal deep sea Kraken. Everey player ship will leave a trace on the water, only visible to the Mighty Kraken. The Kraken-Players Task is to drag enemy ships into the deep, where they would end up sooner or later anyway. 2nd: The Jack Sparrow DLC: Playing as Jack Sparrow in control of his ship the Black Pearl, you will be the only one able to survive an attack of the Mighty Kraken. Upon the survival of such an attack you will get 5xPaint Chest as redeemable immediatly. Discuss! o7

  17. Port Battle for Fort Baai yesterday we noob lenin wins ;D edit: sry didnt see reverse allready posted, my apologies
  18. That would further reduce the need for having ports, trading and crafting like DLC ships and doubloon notes allready did. Wich is BAD!! There was a time when every single log of wood used to craft player ships was bought in one port, transportet to another, sat there to dry until finally a skilled craftsman turned it into a ship. DLC-ships and doubloon-notes completly disrupt the economie and turn what once was a ship that had history even befor it first set sail, into a grey all the same mess of soul-less vessels.

  20. RvR is mostly done by those. They have everthing allready, purple ships, gold ships, a big stack of portbattle ships. Paint is the only thing they are all missing. But i dont really care what they do with Paint aslong as it doesnt come back as DLC. damn DLC's are ruining the game.
