    From the little I know it seems like the rare woods are going to be hard enough to get that it will be very rare for a clan to mass build rare wood ships for that small chance at purple/golds.

    I would be ok with spending labor hours to scrap ships is scraping them gave a meaningful amount of mats back.

    Battles really should be free for all's and this wouldn't be an issue. As is there really a reason why a ships captain and crew couldn't go rouge or flip sides in battle? Reputation of course. Hachi you have no friends don't lie.

    How about letting any nation use any flag with the DLC. We have Pirates sailing the santisima and the U.S. sailing the victory so I don't think historical accuracy is a issue. In fact it makes more sense that they stole a flag and raised a false flag.

    All AI does have boarding mods like marines. The AI is just predictable and bad at boarding.

    PVP and PVE are different servers whatever you do on one has no effect on the other.

    I think everyone can agree that we would like more to boarding then the mini game we have. Unfortunately I do not see that being a thing any time soon.

    Boarding axes + boarding pikes= insta win vs any boarding ship. With one perm mod (thats pretty cheap) and one book you are almost un killable in boarding (1 turn disengage) if thats not a hard enough counter to boarding I do not know what you want.

    I like the RNG, it has no negative effect you can only get better ships out of it. Also the people with lots of resources will spend them and sell the ships with traits they do not want giving the less rich of the server cheaper ships. Without the RNG in crafting people generally only craft the ship they need and no more leading to no players selling ships. Side note, building ships outside the reinforce zone allegedly gives you better chances, further enticing people to move out of the R zone.

    Its sort of a thing in game already. If a large ship rams a smaller ship hard enough you can reload shock them.

    Simplicity's sake, and balance. Or at least thats what I assume admin would say.

    There were quite a few times when smaller ships took on and even beat larger ships in history. In game larger ships tend to have a sizable advantage over most smaller ships so it seems to fit.

    If a ship is alive it can board you, If the AI has more crew then you the AI WILL board you. The AI always has marines and other boarding mods and from the looks you do not. You died because you lost all your moral to a attack if a attack takes you to 0 moral your crew surrenders. I think this highlights another issue with how few people actually know how the boarding mini game works.

    As has been said before if its to expensive for you to buy/craft a ship. Just capture one there are 5th rate AI sailing all over the place with guns already on them just cap one put reps on it and your good to go. Their is no excuse for using basic cutters in the patrol zone at the very least use the cutter to cap a ship and then use that ship.

    The LGV is a unicorn ship, it can be really good vs other 5th rates as the ship constantly threatens the board. The swivel guns really work crew down after a couple of broadsides. Also its really good if you like going to enemy territory and not getting ganked after as you can just dock in their ports. #Indiaman Refit
