  1. Ich finde wie einige Andere auch, dass das Problem nicht nur am Markensystem liegt sondern eben auch an den PBs.. Ich kann nicht nachvollziehen warum einige der Meinung sind ein BR-Limit würde die taktische Tiefe von PBs zu nichte machen. Ich sehe keine taktische Tiefe darin in jedem PB eins zu eins das gleiche zu machen. Linie fahren kann man im übrigen auch mit Schiffen die unterschiedliche Klassen haben, dazu gibt's dann eben nur keinen “Tempomaten“. Gemischte PB würden dafür sorgen das eine First Rate im PB und im Spiel an sich mal was besonderes ist und nicht jeder lvl 50 Spieler damit rumfährt. Ist ja nicht so als ob jede historische Schlacht mit 50 Victories geführt wurde.. man müsste da mal eine Zeitreise machen und die Admiräle fragen ob es taktisch möglich war.... scheinbar schon. Die unterschiedlichen Klassen hätten dabei dann eben einfach unterschiedliche Aufgaben. First Rates gegen First Rates und Türme, Fregatten gegen First Rates und Fregatten, welche wieder rum den eigenen First Rates ans Leder wollen, Kleinere Schiffe könnten als Brander eingesetzt werden. Ich glaube das das gleichzeitig viel Druck von der Community nehmen würde, weil man eben auch als Anfänger mit einem kleinen Schiff teilnehmen und vor allem etwas bewirken könnte. Mag sein, dass jetzt wieder das Argument kommt dass es dafür Shallow Ports gibt, aber ich wüsste nicht warum man nicht mal etwas testen sollte, dass allen Spielern die Möglichkeit gibt wirklich was zu reißen und dementsprechend dafür entlohnt zu werden. Ich kann gar nicht sagen wie oft ich schon gehört habe: “Da kann ich eh nicht rein und helfen, dann muss ich da auch gar nicht erst hin.“ Ausserdem würde es das Problem mit den Conquest Marken obsolet machen da man ohnehin nur einige wenige Schiffe in ein PB ziehen könnte die man dafür bauen kann. Ich wollte eigentlich schon vorschlagen dass es auch ein Zufallssystem geben könnte, welches hin und wieder einen PB zulässt in dem mehr grosse Schiffe gefahren werden können. Aber bei dem Gedanken ist mir selbst aufgefallen, dass der Vorschlag wohl auf harte Kritik stoßen würde weil man dann ja tatsächlich nicht mehr richtig planen kann. Regards, Sir Richard Whitby
  2. I could confess that it wasn't fair.. It wasn't the british gentlemen solution but it was within game mechanics and you would have to confess that grinding hostility with first rates with maximum 4 rates as enemy is nasty gameplay exactly to the same amount. You came with something we couldn't defeat by normal means, so we came up with something that is outside the box of thinking. If we had used privateers instead you would have complained too.. If there was a button to set your own ship on fire without some one to shoot at you i would have pressed it.
  3. So you seem to think brit players have a good life with the current situation of our nation? A lot of ppl quit here too, because of the 24/7 ganging and lack of ability to take part in fair pvp fights. You want us to be fair and get into your shoes but your not able to do the same with us but declare a total war on us because we basically were victories within gameplay mechanics in omoa for the first time? You lost that ships because you thought we were easy bait and didn't protect them right. We have literally nothing since wipe and you complain and quit because you lost some ships and ports although you have your mastermind organisation hording hundreds of CM? As for the bug: I can totally understand your feelings about that and I would feel the same about it if it happened to my nation. But we didn't expect that bug nor we worked for it. We were surprised just like you. You called for Devs, They have made a decision. Now you are complaining again. If you want a game that always runs with your rules go and develop your own.
  4. I didn't want to start a political discussion on this in any way. I also could have mentioned nazis killing totally innocent pll till near extinction of a whole culture, soviet gulags or even crusades in medieval times. If you think dropping an mass destructive weapon on innocent ppl is fine because you think your government doesn't make any mistakes and you feel like it was the right thing to do that's fine. Not good.. but fine. And I want to mention that germans for example have to live with the nazi stamp on their face though no one of this generation had to do anything with this cruelty.   5. I had the same experience over a year ago with RGL Clan.. We couldn't believe that game support doesn't even pass the clan leader to an active member though admins should be able to see that the old one didn't play in months.. If you want to keep the clan alive you have to live with a shrinking playerbase and no options to promote ppl. Or you need to abandon your clan, go to another, create a new one with a different name. I am [KINGS] now.. But i was and always will be RGL. And it is sad that clans weren't deleted in the wipe aswell.. Speaking of security reasons is pathetic if you cant even see a history in clan warehouse.. Pass clan leader to a trustworthy member of clan is an security issue, while stolen goods with no chance to find the thief is not? Nice one..
  6. You seem to have absolutley no Honor to speak of nasty ethics when you not even have the self esteem to fight someone in your league but go 3 leagues down to be sure to win. Thats like USA dropping two A-Bombs on a country that wouldn't have won a regular war anyway... Oh.. I forgot to mention: Is it our fault the two PB were settled the same time? Wait no.. It is not. So go back to where you came from and just be qiet. If you think it is unfair this took place, then it would be our right to think it was unfair if it wouldn't have.. We triggered those ports.. both did reach 100 so both have to take place. Stop complaining about a bug when you are not even able to play fair in parts of the game that are functional.
  7. So basically... Spain declares war on a nation with an unfair advantage of having better ships and when justice kinda sliced their plan apart they are crying for an agreement all of a sudden? This may be something happened in cause of a bug. But there is no way of fair agreement. Your stupid and pathetic war in itself is unfair. So reap what you sowed.
  8. I Now that.. but as you may have seen the ship in my and in Odols picture both have an american flag. Therefore it's the same ship.. I'd say it's a replic, though but certainly not a british ship in this case. Nevertheless the real bounty of course was a british ship.

  10. I think this is a great idea. Especially with a vocal key it would be a very nice addon to the game.
  11. Well I am and I don't think we need free slots or dock space. I can see that the game got more difficult after wipe but after all this is part of what the wipe was intended to do. I remember myself having five ships in every port I got an outpost before the wipe and it made the game or defending ports way to easy. And I think there are more Important things which should be worked on at the moment. In my opinion even a new UI would be one of them to be honest and I myself wouldn't care for that. But i guess ppl starting with the game could stay more likely if the game finaly will look like something
  12. I feel kinda funny how this post can be ignored so hard. Not that I agree to this, nor do i reject, I simply don't know if this would change a thing or if player base would even be big enough for all nations to do this.   13. So maybe newcomers would be even more disappointed in the game because it wouldn't only be hard to survive for beginners but kinda kick them in their guts, too? At the moment loosing your ship, your trading goods and a bunch of money to replace both is enough penalty for beeing sunk in my opinion I don't see any benefit from this either..
  14. We're doing escorts in my clan anyway.. Maybe not on all routes but on those that are important to us. And we have fun thinking about what route to take and what could be ahead of us. But none of us complains about traveling time. Maybe it's because most of us love the fact this is a sailing game and don't want it to me more arcade than it is anyway...   15. So that's the reason your idea wouldn't work.. PvP and ganking would take placer where it always took. Why should I use a route where I am attacked 100% as a trader?
  16. I think he wants that bigger nations are able to defend their ports right from the start.. But the problem is that spain for example cant hold their ports due to their number of players. If you give them free ports and they get more players at some point it will be an ridicoulus unfair advantage. Regards,
  17. I really like the Idea.. And this is something that's been arround in the forums for ages, because many ppl came and suggested this. I guess it#s rather not important to the devs, although it would add a little more fun to the game (at least for me). But I also see a problem here with people misusing such a function, givin' their ship silly and inappropiate names. In addition I would not suggest to do it this way: Just display: Rear Admiral x on "Qeen Annes's Revenge" Endymion Class __________________________ The fact that we all sail on Victories, Surprises, and Cutters, does imply that this is the shipclass.. not the actual thing. I see your point.. but basically what you describe would imply that the other nation has enough players to fight those battles too and why should spain for example join a crusade against ... sweden or france or denmark? It all depends on which nations you have near you and which ports could be interesting. The attacking nations would need to get the ships for 18 portbattles too
  19. Question is: Does the system stay as it is. I thinks there will be changes anyways. It's important to mention issues and I agree completly with you. Although I think its good that you can't sail a big ship at 100% right from the start, it seems a bit weird to connect that to smaller ships. I mean, you only learn how to sail a ship perfectly or to drive a car perfectly if you sail and drive that specific vehicle. they I think you should need some experience with smaller ships but one shouldn't need to sail all those ships to the end to fully achieve a big ship. Especially beginners of the game will hate that kind of System. In Addition at the Moment you really need to sail ALL those ships, because you need different expirience for a Victory than for an Agamemmnon for example. There are different Paths you have to choose and if you aren't happy with the choice you made, you need to start all over again. Regards,
  20. Die Liste ist schon etwas älter und ich glaube einige clans gibt es schon lange nicht mehr. Von der RGL bei den Briten weiss ich das zum beispiel weil ich selbst lange drin war. Ich weiß auch nicht, ob der Spieler der diese Liste angefertigt hat überhaupt noch spielt, also im Zweifel vielleicht lieber einen neuen Thread für sowas aufmachen, Greetings,
  21. All ship and damage models, everything in the game so far was planed as realistic as possible... And this is just not it. Wind wont stop on open sea to go a completly different direction. I would accept something in the way of the global ocean conveyor belt, but then again, you would need a whole world map instead of just the carribean.
  22. Agreed about the global server.. I like the idea but I fear there would be complains from the other nations if you grant them extra exp. But i'm not sure about that either.
