I'm not sure what all the previous posts are about, all I'm posting here is that these guys were purposely gaming the system to gain an advantage. Purposely spawning on my team and using the close range to demast/shoot sails. I'm sure eventually the pirate mechanics will be worked out, but since they did this multiple times (i escaped the first time) it's obvious they knew what they were doing.
