  1. Hmm.. I was thinking of setting up in a Freeport, but having to spend hours sailing there both ways made me drop it. I also believe more people feel it like this, and to be honest, it deffently doesn't promote any PvP with the no teleport to Freeport. I will suggest 2 teleports within a 24 hour period, 1 to the Freeport and one back again or vice versa. You can choose to do both teleport very quickly if you choose to, but only 2 teleports in 24 hours.
  2. Still, I think it's not near ready for a release, and to be honest, 5-6 months to release, and you think it will be ready for release?! I doubt it.
  3. Less than a year from Alpha to release, that sounds too rushed and could possibly harm the game even more if it's not done right with all mentioned in this thread.
  4. If they wanna merge PvP 2 and PvP 1, I have a suggestion. They should make a poll about it in the game, for people who log onto PvP 2, to see how many of them who wants the merge to happen. Just a pop-up-box as you log into PvP 2.
  5. Sounds like a plan to me! I know this plan is just roughly points on how and when things will be in the game, but I think/hope there is more to each line described in the plan. And I am sure the devs will try and keep this plan up to schedule, but if it's needed, I sure hope they will take their time to do things right, and adjust the plan accordingly so the community knows what's going on etc. Finally, when the release is comming, they need to be sure Naval Action is ready for a release, bugs, content, gameplay, mechanics, graphics, UI, sounds and music, etc etc etc. And that this is a game, wich keeps players playing and have different kinds of things to do in game like PVE, various missions, Port Battles, economy, trading, exploring, conquests, maybe even a story line, things that players would keep on playing to achieve, and maybe even a map-win for reset etc. Good stuff anyways!
  6. I see the point myself of implementing this. I just hope they get it right, cause there is a lot of mistakes that can be done with this wich is already posted in this thread. Again, we might see other more important/interesting things getting pushed further away, due to crew adjustments, wich was already working and could have been adjusted later.
  7. Well. I see the point here. But. There is absolutely nothing realistic about the smallest nations having the most crew, believe it or not. The bigger the nation is, the more crew it should have (due to bigger population), if it was something realistic about it at all. The smaller the nation is, the lesser crew would be available (due to lesser population), that's realistic. But then again, we shall see how realistic this game will be in the end. Hard to say, one day it's all about realism, and next day it's not. I prefer something inbetween. And I do understand that the amount of captains demanding the amount of crew, means smaller nation, more crew for each captain, but still, it's not realistic. Speaking of realistic, then it should be more crew for bigger nations, and lesser crew for smaller nations, wich would equal the amount of crew per captain depending on the population of each nation. And then it shouldn't matter if it's a big nation or a small nation.
  8. This all looks good to me, but I'm conerned about one thing if this comes into the game. And that would be the amount of ships you can have at one port. If you need 3-4 ships ready, depending on what wind it will be, small ship, medium ship, SOLs etc, together with maybe 1-2 traders, wich also will be affected by the wind, then I think we need to be allowed to store more ships in one port, either as it is now, or in a dockyard or something similar. Maybe one will be able to buy more slots for storing ships etc. Even today, I think the amount of ships you can have in one port is just about enough, sometimes I wish I had room for more. Especially if you want to have a big ship for fleeting/PBs, a fast smaller ship for PvP/trader hunting, a Hauler for your cargo, enough room to capture and send trader ships back, even crafting 1-2 ships. So I would be more than happy if the devs would adress the amount of ships you can have in one port sooner or later, in some way, even though if it cost money to get more ship slots. Thanks.
  9. I just don't get this. The nationals are crying and complaining about Pirates not being "Piraty" enough, and that they are a national etc. So what?! The only reasons for nationals crying is because they can't handle the pirates these days and loose ports. If you complain how similar the nationals and pirates are, don't whine and cry about your port loss and blame it on the game mechanics! The nationals have the same tools as the pirates to take back the ports, fight, make coalitions etc etc etc as the pirates have, so start forming up and take back some ports then instead of whining and crying about your losses and blame it on the pirates having too much advantage over the nationals, cause nationals obviously have the same mechanics to fight back! Nationals and Pirates are pretty much the same yes, so why shouldn't the national have the same chance to kick ass like the pirates are doing these days?! Point being, nationals can fight back with the same tools as the pirates, but instead the nationals cries on the forums instead and blame it on the game mechanics. I just don't get this. Best Regards, Sailaway
  10. So.. if not all the players read the forums and know all the rules.. then, especially in this case, there should maybe be a warning text appearing on the screen when friendly fire occures? That might help prevent players who doesn't know the rules to sink friendlies. Furthermore, they already got a clear warning on the screen, in the battle, that he is firing on a friendly and that it is not allowed. If he continues to fire after that one warning, screen him and post him here for punnishment! Then you can save a huge ammount of time by explaining rules over and over again to people who read the forums and don't read the forums. For the capturing part, and unwanted people joining my battles against npc's, I hate it. Especially against Npc's, you should fix this so we would be able to close npc battles or at least get a chance to be sure nobody else can steal a captured ship off from your hands.
