  1. That is why the ships get perm Smuggler status which all pirates pretty much keep on there chars any way cause it has little status to them. Only pirate ships/refits get this perm flag on them so if they want to keep them they get treated as a pirate while in them so that any one of any nation even there own can attack them. They really need to bring back this feature with the smuggler flag too. It use to be if you where a national and had the smuggler flag on any one can kill you even your own nation. Though this should really be replaced with a trade reputation system for traders not some silly flag. I was saying more keeping a capture ship is a pirate only feature, but back in the old days if you captured a SOL AI ship it went straight to the Admiralty and you got paid for it. They can do something like this in game, but I would prefer to have the player return it to port to get paid. That gives the player a chance if from another nation to maybe have friends capture it back from the Pirate or other national that captured his ships. Could make it that only 4th rates and above are effected by this rule and any 7th-5th rates that aren't pirates ships by design can be captured and keep by players with no reason to return it the Admiralty. Pirates are restricted by the fact they couldn't craft any SOL's. They have to capture them. Again your trying to put all the restrictions on the Pirates and not any on Nationals. I just added that any none pirate ships 7th-5th rates that aren't Pirate ships are exempted from the capture rule. We are talking about SOL and such that the Admiralty would want to refit and give back out to the navy. Keeping a ship without the Admiralities approval is called Piracy so that is why Nationals can't keep them. We need balance game system not one nation gets penalized while others don't just cause of the flag. If your going to effectively take Pirates out of SOL RvR than you need to take out Nationals effectiveness in the shallow waters one so that both can hold key ports/regions of there strength. The upkeep of the SOL is played out by restricting line ships to only being able to dock up in SOL regional capital ports. This will limit where Pirates can keep any captured SOL. I would make Kidds the only starting port that Pirates have this option to do so it's a long sail to any where with these ships or to get it to a safe port they can dock it up once one is captured. While Nationals will have all there capitals and any of the SOL regions to dock up in that they own. SOL should be saved for the biggest and most important battles, not every one rolling around in groups of 25 of them.
  2. Just cause some can do it doesn't mean they are. The ones we are seeing doing it constantly aren't currently the pirates so get off your high horse man. Just about every nation has a group that will do anything to win. Oh and stop saying I abused something. I was not in the one battle that was tribunal. I actually was in another battle where the screeners separated me. In my eyes using the crappy ships to separate us was just as much an abuse of bad mechanics. Notice once that had been fix no one has dared to try to screen our fleets. You couldn't beat us in side with us under man and you haven't beat us out side. Stop using the excuse about mechanics cause both sides where using bad mechanics to try to win. The one thing Pirates have done is moved on and adapted to new battle mechanics in game. The one things the nationals can't do is move on. Want to know why ya'll loose? Cause you give up at a flip of a coin. US lost one port and cried they been one ported. Brits couldn't use there numbers any more to screen out a stronger fighting force but much smaller numbers so they stopped showing up. The carebears that got free marks had to actually fight and they stopped showing up. I think it's funny back when ya'll had empty ports to take you had over 70 players fighting over who will get into the port and get the conquest marks from that port. Now for bad mechanics many of ya'll are now seeing that the port flipping is screwed up and it's not something we do in an hour. We actually do get it done faster than most others cause we show up with around a dozen first rates even if it's a 4th rate regions and split up into smaller groups and kill every ship in the region. We don't sit in front of the capital port of the region. We go and sit in front of every port of the region and kill anything that moves of that nation. If they are big fleets we save the lead ship (most the time worth more points than the others). We also learned that they respawn after an hour or so so if you kill them you will see them again in an hour. The average it takes us to flip a region is about 2-5 hours. Though this is used to level up our ship knowledge on our ships too. Something we prob have a sleeve up on other nationals. Most our first rates are unlocked 1-3 slots with some having all them unlocked. Most our 4th rates are at 3-5 slots unlocked. Pretty much all us unlocked the Heavy Rattler in one night to 3-5 slots (I was the only one in clan to own one before West End was flipped and I had a 4 slot open for the port battle.) You want to know how you stop us from taking a port. Bring out your good ships/enough BR to pull our full fleet into a battle out side. We will be more than happy to skip the PB and have a fight of 25 vs 25 ships out side. Though if you can't even bring the proper ships to fight in the PB even though ya'll have numbers than your not going to bring the proper ships to screen a full battle fleet out side a port. Until ya'll can do this your not going to win. Well not until you can get your heads out of your arse and get organized. Ya'll should of had George Town just by BR and numbers. We actually had expected to loose that fight when it started and GB joined. I heard some one said French was there to screen....guess what no they weren't and how do you screen a defense port battle when we are all ready in the port? We don't use screeners cause we don't have the numbers to fill the Port Battle and screen to, not to mention we want the fight so we want you to get into the port battle. Now that RvR is pretty much dead what are ya'll going to do when we switch to PvP mode and camp every region you still own like the french have been camping our capital. Which has pretty much died down lately So apparently our taking there ports has been effective and the other thing is we have time on our hand, we don't have to rush out and fight them on there terms. We fight fights on our terms. But hay when SC comes out we will prob move onto that game and ya'll can have your carebear serve, cause that is what PvP2/GLOBAL honestly is.
  3. Even better if they want to limit the ships Pirates can craft. Than make capture ships a pirate only option. If a national is caught in a captured ship (that isn't in his fleet) than he is treated as a pirate since he hasn't returned it to the Admiralty and turned it in to be part of the Court and sold off or to be returned back into service. Pirates only get Shipyard 1 & 2 for ship building. If they want any other ships they have to steal them or bribe a National to get one. Since pirates can't get anything bigger than the 3rd rates in there Shop, SOL's will be more a National thing. Make the ports so that you can only dock a SOL in a SOL region. This will limit where a Pirate can keep his captured/bribed SOL he gained. The pirates get Heavy Rattler, Niagara and Pirate Frigates in there Pirates Den. National wants these they have to capture them, but if they sail them they can be attacked by any one since the ships have not been brought into Admiralty and refitted and are known pirate ships. This will make Pirates master of the Shallows and light ships. While the Nationals are the master of the SOL's. Leaving the frigates in the middle. Pirates will get the Xebec when it comes into game too as another light ship for there fleets. Nationals can keep 5th rates and below once they have been returned to Admiralty. It will remove the pirate flag (this flag can just mark them as the old school smuggler that every one can tag and kill). Any ship of 4th rate and above has to be returned to the Admiralty by a National and will be paid for them. The easy step around this is just to scuttle it in combat but the pay out is less if you do that.
  4. The biggest problem I have with the Bahamas is that normally one nation or another takes control of all of it and if it's your nation as in us Pirates there isn't as much hunting going on.
  5. No it's only to change nations on the server you have them. Now have you logged into the PvE server before the patch and made a char? If you did your char will have the same rank and crafting level as you had before the patch. Though you won't have anything else other than the redeemables the devs gave us all. So no you can't transfer all you stuff on the PvP server to the PvE. YOu have to start over pretty much.

This is what many have brought up for raids. 12 man raids would work great and could use something like a one circle cap the circle style port battle that just needs kill all ships are control points of the circle for the duration of the battle. Winner gets 20-25% hostility gained or lost depending on the side. Enough of them will flip the port. Make them only the regions none capital ports and none of the are SOL ports (only capitals should have this and only a few).
  7. No one does this cause you get zero from Pirate vs PIrate. We don't want to stop you from flipping ports. We want the port battles so why stop you. What we do stop from happening when we can is two at the same time. Really man the problem about fleets is not Pirates it's the number of ships the devs have on the open world for each nation in respect to what else is out there. Before the patch there was tons of ships on the OW, now it's like a 1/10th of the fleets as before. We are having the same problems as ya'll are and no we don't kill pirate fleets so you can find any. As for defenses though you can kill any fleet no matter the nation in your region to lower the hostility. Though here is something we tried and found out. Pirate fleets won't count. Pirate vs Pirate battles creates no hostility along with giving you zero rewards. Now what we do do and it was even mention on the L2TK is we recycle a fleet over and over keeping the lead ship alive. We go in demast it and sink the others fast as we can. By using all first rates it takes just one or two broad side to sink most of the ships in those fleets. The times we had fast flips is cause we found a good fleet to cycle over and over, other times it has taken us up to 5 hours or more to flip and ends in a bad port time. Though we can still show up and do them as our clan is made up of players from all over the world. Though mostly US and Aussie players make up most of the numbers. You mean just like how one national can tag a friendly other national and sit in there battles too, but instead it doesn't stay open and the battle marker hides until they want to jump out and attack some one using super invisible warp speed? This been used a lot by french around Mort along with US and GB players. Though we haven't used a battle to hide from screeners since the BR system was patched and Battle Fleet group was put in game. We have rolled right up to ever port battle some even being defenses as one big battle fleet.
  8. I wasn't trying to turn spec it but was flicking through the ship knowledge's I have since I have 4 slots open on mine and notice it didn't move above a certain amount. Did the math and came up with the cap. I was more checking the cap for another smaller ship that I hadn't unlocked to many slots on. Even at 2.82 the Aggy still turns like a buss. 9 I'll be honest my two fav ships right now is my Speed Heavy Rattler and my Privateer. Maybe with RvR dead I can get back to OW hunting. I'll be honest when Legend comes out we will prob loose a good chunk of our clan of guys that "ONLY WANT SOL FIGHTS." Maybe by than they give us some proper Pirate mechanics and I can go back to enjoying the small shallow water ships...lol
  9. You apparently haven't fought any one that loves the Wapen (I can't stand it). It's got killer turn rate so that is it's pluss. Though it has a high bleed off of speed, but it can out turn just about all the 4th rates.
  10. it's 20% as the aggy will cap out at 2.82 turn rate per my testing. Remember you have to add in the wood +/- too when you count any of the caps.
  11. That is the thing that folks liked about the flag system, it told you where to be and you had a set time to get there and stop them. Maybe combine it so that when you pull a mission it lets every one know a hostility mission/Flag has been pulled for that port. You can either show up and stop them by PvP or through stopping them in the missions. The announcement keeps from from doing ninja flipping by hitting a bunch of them at the same time and not leaving until they are all done. If the missions are announced and stay open than you can show up and stop them while in the fight.
  12. The biggest problem with the hostility missions was that you couldn't find them in some regions cause they where so freaking big and you had no clue what port they pulled them at. All missions should be at the capital only of that region so you know where they will be. The second problem was them closing after 5 mins. There was nothing wrong with them staying open 15 mins or even 30 mins (I wouldn't go longer than this). When you drop it to 5 mins most the times you would maybe find it when they closed and if the fleets saw you they used exit to friendly port so to avoid a fight and that killed OW hunting and PvP to counter RvR grind. Make the missions only spawn at regional capitals or at that port if we go back to the port system. Make the missions stay open for 15 to 30 mins. IF some one is worried about a fleet droping in on them all they have to do is turn it into a running fight with the AI and mvoe away from the spawn area. Having the missions spawn a set amount of ships is good so that you can get a fleet up to 12 players to do them. Hell you can get bigger fleets that can split up and join more than one of them at a time, but you know your prob going have to bring enough ships to deal with 10 ships of that level. Than put the BR/Ship rank cap on it so folks can't bring 1st rates into the 4th rate frigate missions. Though I would mix the fleets up for each one so that Shallows will have 10 6-7th rates. Deep water would have 10 5-4th rates. SOL ports will have 10 3rd-1st rates. Cause not every one has the biggest ships and still want to help grind.
  13. Man that was a hard fight to watch with the Santi, he did finally listen to us when we told him to turn and fight. He could of had a few of you and changed the end results of the kills on both sides a bit if he had. One thing for sure he learned not to SOLO a Santi out side Mort and defently don't go without the proper Repairs either. I don't think he had any rum on him. If he had he prob could of keep that fight running until the clock ran out. I know we got the Frigate with one group and my group got one of your Connies (he boomed next to me). In that fight one of the smaller clan guys made a big mistake that cost us some time on the connie. It's good for these guys to get out and fight like this as many of them are fairly new to the PvP. Oh and we both got on the Leader Board for our kills. So for once we weren't forum whoring all night (just kidding I still was).
  14. I remember back when my second account was still a weee little pirate. I would have him go hunt bottles back when you got gold mods from them but they will pop half way across the map. It seems they pop at KPR all the time are aorund there. I ran into a Reno in the storm (back when we had storms on OW) and we both turned and ran the other way......I was only in a trader cutter. He could of killed me like crazy easy but we couldn't see crap on OW so freaked out.
  15. Unlike some believe we have the same problems flipping ports and a lot of the flips are way out of time we wanted to set it up, but took for ever to find ships to flip. That is why we actually war bombed BERMUDA to 60%. We didn't want to spend 2-5 hours to flip that port. We swear when we go to flip a port the devs do two things. 1) HIDE ALL NATIONAL SHIPS OF THAT NATION. 2) MAKE IT START TO RAIN ALL OVER THE SERVER SO YOU CAN'T SEE CRAP. It's like every time the same thing happens lol
  16. lol I didn't even think of that, duh, but yah folks use to use L2TK for guys that team killed and such. lol We have gotten bored in empty battles and practice demasting while waiting on the clock and doing goofy stuff like that. One day ya'll should pop in late and catch us with our pants down. Even though he's on the other side of the fence I still like his videos and glad we have some one on our server that does them. Maybe with every thing slowing down on the RvR side we can set up tournaments and some fun stuff to do on OW on the weekends in the different time zones.

  19. You keep asking this, but no one is going to tell you what alts their clans have or don't have man. Hell didn't SORRY have almost a full clan of alts in SPAIN or something? I will say that while pre-patch on PvP2 my clan had some of us roll either Danes or French with an alt char that could fight 4th rates and SOL fights and fill the off time slots for the CCCP (SEA Players) that couldn't fill US prime time. Once the Dane/Swede/France small nation was able to show they can fill prime time port battles, the mega alliance of US/GB/DUTCH backed off on them. As pirates was the only nation that could constantly field a full or close to against the mega alliance. Still is after patch. My pre-patch Dane is now my crafter pirate as with this patch I didn't see a reason to have my third char Danish, so now all three of mine are Pirates and I fight with two of them as they are both maxed out Curse, but I could easily roll my second one to some other nations. I have all my forge papers still. The problem is most of the other nations that have alts aren't organized to do something like this. Hell they aren't even organized enough to field a full proper port battle team and not fight with each other the whole time. I predict we are going to see a lot of small clans get called alt clans cause they are going to say "Screw The Man" and go off make there own War Company and take ports in nation or others for there own. Kidds would be the Deep water that is away from the center main PvP/RvR area. Though I still think pirates should not be an option at char creation and something you become in game not at start since it's suppose to be a hard core mode. It's not suppose to be something some joe blow new guy jumps into and just starts playing.
  20. Now that I think of the concept I'm liking it more and more, but we really need a proper Reputation system in game and some Pirate mechanics so they aren't just another nation. EIther make them true pirates or make them Privateer factions or something. If they are taken out of the RvR side you will see more Nations actually fighting each other and prob more OW PvP. Though the problem is you can't force folks to fight in OW or PB. The majority of the players are made up of casual players that log on for an hour or two a few times a week. We need more content for those players to stick around and I don't think one nation should be able to crush another nation like the current system unless we have map resets every couple of months. Other wise the game grows stale. There needs to be incentive for folks to go into the hot zones and fight over them. Making it so every one gets the same rewards or can get them isn't going to do that. If they go to the new system I think they can prob go back to sperating some of the PvP content from the PvE content and than have a few things that are RvR content, but don't make them items you have to have or part of the meta to lock out other nations. 9 That way the crafts that want the semi safe zones can stay around the coast lines, they can still get pulled in PvP if caught out and about, but they are involved with loosing every thign. That leaves the RvR guys to fight over the center of the map with the PvP guys hopefully with hunting grounds all over the place. Those rare/rich goods got to get back to the port where you have your production at any way don't they? I really did like the concept of doing the Gulf as the PvE zone in game, but if they don't ever come back to that, the gulf prob needs to go as the map just to big for the server pops. If you want more fights you need to make the map smaller or cut out a lot of the regions and speed up open world travel more. I would prefer to make the map smaller if they are going to do that.
  21. You mean like France and GB have been tagging each other out side Mort to hide in a battle and than come out? Don't act like we are the only nation that has done it. You can join those pirate battles you know. If a pirate tags another pirate the battle stays open until it's over and can be seen. Just camp the battle is all. Oh wait you will just pull the plug (Alt+F4) to not get out of it as we caught a lot of Brits doing after fights (when we took PnP and SLM) and knowing we had a fleet out side waiting for them. So stop this your nation is all sweet and innocent like man. You would know this if you actually got off the forums and played the game. You can believe what you want but since you don't really do RvR I'll take my experience being involved in just about every Pirate flip and port battle since patch with one of my chars. How many do you actually have under your belt? Not many and guess what it's the same in all regions. Ask any one else that tried to flip ports the AI selection blows and it takes for every. Hell that is the reason we bombed Bermuda to 60% cause we didn't want to be out there 5 hours grinding or two fleets we have to keep the lead ship alive to recycle it over and over. Did you know on defense you don't have to kill the fleets of the nation that is attacking you? You can kill any AI in your region (except own nation we tested it with Pirate Ai) and it will lower the Agro, while the attacker can only attack the nation of the owner of the region? This makes it easier for defenders to grind down hostility. It's very much stacked against attackers no matter what nation you are. I hope we all know Epic missions don't hostility nor does missions. Though some folks might want to grind them for the XP/LOOt. We been trying to find Curse ones since patch to grind out just for the XP/Loot but they are apparently gone too from the game.
  22. I'm sure you guys will get this with the arena game. Though I do wonder why we don't have a ship building app yet some where so you can test out builds and I do so training rooms could be nice, but lets be honest the best training is to actually get out there and fight.
  23. That is not a pirate region only problem that is every national own regions. You hardly see anything bigger than 5th rate ships and maybe a 4th rate. There have only been a few regions we found 3rd rates and even more rare is the one or two big fleets that have a 2nd rate in it. Those are normally in the regions worth three points. It's just retarded how few ships we find in regions. While all the while we are finding ships of every other nation all around the region (which makes it easier to grind down agro). We use to hit those super fleets pre-patch that have almost as many ships as epic missions and they would give ups any where from 30-50% agro. Half the time pre-patch that was what we did when folks though we where war bombing them. We hit those mega fleets and flip a port in one or two of them. Now even when you find them they don't have the ships they list, they have up to the BR that list which doesn't match the list of ships.
  24. Than tell me exactly when the Nats where pulling empty Spanish ports you would have 70+ showing up trying to get into the port battles? Cause you got the conquest marks for free and nothing fought back. Once folks started to show up and fight back all those PvE guys that hide zipped right into ports. They are the numbers that other Nation have and think they don't. If they stop hiding and take their ships out and fight you find out you have way more players than you think you do. As soon as they took the conquest marks out we noticed even more folks stop showing up. Why show up to fight if you don't get anything from it and if your nation isn't the top one than you get even less. You can just use Combat Marks to get Victory Marks so no reason to even RvR any more. What they should do is go back to giving Paint Chest at port battles and for those that fight them and win the map for the week (not the whole nation, just the folks that did them). Than I bet you will see more folks actually wanting to show up even if they don't win the map for the week you will have more chance to win a price of something no one else has unless they RvR. Or you can ask to buy them off some one that RvR. While I don't think it should be key ships needed for Port Battles or OW PvP, but there should be rewards fro folks that only can get through PvP or RvR. Paints is one of the ways to do this. The other thing is to have some of the odd ships that can't be in port battles (Niagara good example) that can only be gain through RvR or PvP. Right now there is no special rewards that Ic an't get for just killing PvE. Ever game I been on you got the epic gear by doing epic missions. Or paying some one else that grinds them for the gear and you pay highly for it. I'm really tired of us trying to give Participation Trophy's out for folks that do nothing. I'l be honest I really did like this concept for ports taken by clans or now War Companies. Keep the safe zones safe and normal, but give the War Companies 25 land grants to put up outpost and building in these regions they capture and than limit the rest to a tax to keep building sin them. That would give reward for those that actually do the hard work. Since these area's will have the richer resources and all.
