  1. When they proposed the new ship crafting stuff back in November of last year that was what we assume it was going to be since they said no more RNG drops (which is exactly what we have with PvE drops) and no more rare items that only a few have (gold marines and other GOD MODE MODS). I can still see them having you learn certain components like the refits. So you have to learn that refit to be able to craft it or make it part of the crafting materials. You want to build a Fir Fir Niagara with Nassau Boarders, British Rig Refit and Crooked Hull. First I must own the Ship BP. Check got that in the Pirate Den. Than the permit. Well traded in 1 victory mark from wining Port The map so now have three permits or used CM. Those are listed in the mats like right now. To pick the option of those three refits I have to have learned them first. I have them on one char so I"m good. Now when I make the ship it list all the normal stuff but now it adds in 5 Nassau Quartermaster, 5 silver, 5 British Runing Rigging, 30 Rigging Parts, 5 Crooked Cedar and 50 Iron fittings and my ships when crafted will be a Fir Fir Niagara with those refits on perm. They can not be changed so if some one captures my ship that is exactly what they get. The ship knowledge can stay something you learn and add as you open up slots. Copper plating should be added to the list of refits and not some random PvE drop. You can still have the books drop randomly but also have them for sale for a price in the shop like they have the refits too. That way if you don't want to pay PvP Marks than you can just try your luck with RNG and get it as a random drop or if all you do is PvP is buy them with your marks. The two mark system wasn't bad, it was just the way they had it set up that was bad and folks wanted to be able to get every thing even if they aren't playing the content. By removing PvP Marks they took away yet one more reward folks got from doing PvP. I think they should keep combat marks for all battles like they have now with them being rewarded for Kills/assit with PvP getting a good boost (x5 instead of x2 or what ever it is vs PvE rewards). Than if your not going to have separate marks for each type of fights sail the books for ship knowledge for a good price above the common once. That are make them part of mission rewards. You get 10 PvP kills you can pick one Ship Knowledge book that isn't in the shop as a basic ship knowledge as an reward or risk RNG with PvE drops.
  2. the cost does at 100 gold a hour. Remember labor is free for you so you can put any cost on labor hours. When I build cannons for the nation I think of the labor hours more as part of my profits. Cost without labor hours is this. Hull Repairs 488 Rigging Repairs 378 gold Rum 33 gold Remember this is base cost if you produce every thing your self owning the Iron, Oak, Hemp, Fir production buildings. If you buy the resources from some one else you have to add that into your cost of producing them. Also remember there is a 5% listing fee for all contracts posted. It's 10% for ships.
  3. One way to help new players to learn econ and trading is they could set up trade missions where it has you go to certain home region ports and set up things like, oak, fir, hemp iron or sugar. Have them ask which mission you want. Than the missions string helps them set up there first two ports. I pick Hull repairs and it tells me I need Iron and Oak. It get to set up Oak in Mort and than it sends me to Little Iguana to set up Iron. I pick Rig Repairs it tells me to set up Fir in Mort and than hemp in Islet. I think those two would make great starter tutorial missions for new players. Remember we get our first permit for an out post for free. Players should start with a small amount of seeded money. Maybe this could be after doing your first mission or two that teaches you how to sail and fight in your ship. Than you have seed money to set up your first two buildings and the ports. Rum is a bit more complicated as it takes 4 items. Though this could be an advance tutorial. I don't know how the resources are set up in other nations but if the Hull and Rig repairs can be down in two ports counting the capital it would make a great tutorial mission for new players to learn about econ set up. Rum takes Fir, Iron, Oak and Sugar so it can be set up as an advance tutorial after some one gains maybe a level or two. As for the TP from freetowns. I would say only if you limit to only keeping trade ships in those ports. As long as you have a war ship in that port you can't TP out of it. You will have to take it back to a friendly port before you can teleport. Other wise it will be abused to much by folks working out of Free Ports attacking other nations. All they have to do is TP back and do there econ and than pick it up and drop it off once a week or something or go fight other fights like port battles. If your in a war ship and need to get back to friendly than you need to do it by sailing the OW. Why would a freetown let you leave a war ship in a freetown? I also think Freetowns should be limited to only 4th rates and below. SOL's should not be allowed to dock up in freetowns. Than again I think one way to limit them also is make it so they can only dock up in SOL ports only. This will limit where some one can keep his SOL's and use them.
  4. You must be thinking of certain former British clans and french clans. We don't have to work out of free towns. Can I remind you who owns a region right next to every major nations capitals right now or at one time and even than still a region close enough to raid said capitals or econ regions of those nations? I do remember seeing your name in the port battle yesterday. So how exactly is that working out for yall? We don't need to work out of a free town when we own a region right next door to you. Why you think we picked that one as the first region to take from the US after several attacks and port battles started by your nation? I think it's funny most of the folks that complained about the TP being removed from Free Towns said, "Pirates should still get TP's so they can raid out of them." Weren't pirates and are the folks we see use them to raid. We don't need Freetowns to raid out of. Back for the post though.... When we go to flip a port we have one person bring a trader full or load up our SOL"S with a lot of repairs. We flip the port and than port into a Freetown for the night or if we own a region close we do that. We drop off all the extra repairs and only bring what we think we need for OW and Port battle fight. Than we return to the port and restock or move that port after reset to our new base of operations and leave the ship in that zone to protect it. I can say if you want to raid out of a Free town than you need to make weekly runs an produce those goods you need to restock. The problem is one person can't make all the repair mods themselves easily. You need Fir, Oak, Hemp, Iron and Sugar. As long as you return every three days you can restock up as you cap out at the port holding limit. Though labor hours max out every other day. Some folks don't want to do this part of the game so we need some other way to get simple supplies and I think the best way to do this is allow ports to seed daily the repairs and not allow them to buy them off players to keep folks from buying them up and saleing them in other ports. But the port shouldn't be able to support a lot of players as to give a reason for you to return and restock up supplies too.
  5. I know they mentioned OW couldn't be done, but they haven't mention anything about Port Battles between clans or nations in the this current post. It would be nice to know if that is still on the table or not. One thing they should do if they keep the smuggler flag is go back to doing what they had before when we had Pirate vs Pirate before. Make it that any one can attack a player with a Smuggler flag on. It basically turns you into a pirate char and than make pirates perm smuggler since most of us leave it perm on any way. Just keep the restrictions of using it to trade ships only. This way if you see a known spy/traitor coming back from meeting with his other nation alt or what not and has a smuggler flag on, you can attack him even though he's your own nation. I think cross nation clan alliances would actually be bad. The only way I can see it working is by turning Pirates into a Privateer faction and make them very much like Mercs in MWO. Where clans can take out contracts (Letter of Marques) with a nation and fight for them. I think they are currently one week or month long contracts. Haven't played in a while, but you know that clan has a contract for that set time. When it's up they can easly switch to another nation. Clans and solo players without LoM will be your traditional Pirates/Outlaws. This way removing pirates from RvR system unless they are acting as Privateers for a nation. While they are under that LoM a National Clan can add them to there "Friends" list so they can join and help with port battles. If you are not acting as a privateer than you get to work out of Freetowns, Neutral ports and Pirate Havens (perm pirate ports that can't be captured spread all over the map).
  6. Alliance system was very broken and should not be returned in it's former form. On PvP2 you had US/GB/Dutch in a super alliance that never attacked each other. They made up of 61% of the server population. Pirates made up of 21%. The small nation alliance was made up of the other 18% and all US/GB/Dutch did was attack the small nations and avoid fights with Pirates. While EU had problems with Day/Night flips with time zone of nations alliance, PvP2 had issues with big guys vs little guys. There is a problem when the two largest nations with the highest population of 23% for GB and 31% for US had not a single port battle with each other since August of last year until the wipe. Now if it limits you who you can have an Alliance with like one big nation can take in one small nation that would be better. GB/Dutch was a good alliance. US if they took in say Spain or France and actually fought GB would of been a good Alliance. If it was to ever return than it should only be for low pop nations only. Now what they should do is turn Pirates Nations into a Privateer faction and allow Pirates with a Letter of Marque to join a nation for a set contract and fight for them. If you don't have a LoM than your an Outlaw/Pirate per traditional means. What was most pirates any way? Just privateers out of a job cause there wasn't any wars going on. Many of them got pardons and a LoM as soon as a war broke out and went right back to Privateer. Now the LoM thing could prob be used for all nations. Lets say I'm Spanish and I want to fight for the Brits. I get a LoM and I can now fight as a Privateer for the Brits. I can join there battles and fight along side of them as long as they aren't fighting Spanish. There so many ways they can take this if they want. Along with a proper in game reputation system that is.
  7. A reputation system really needs to be tied into this game. Your crafting and trading can be tied in to what you can see in shops. POTBS actually had a very good system for this. I played Spain and I keep my trader/crafter reputation with the other nations traders real good. He was able to sink war ships, but I never had him sink any national AI trade ships. Thus he had very good reputation with other nations where I could use there Auction house. Your reputation also told how far you can see. As in just that port, region or all the nations ports. I would limit some of it to only regions or nations unless you are part of that nation. Reputation system can also replace the smuggler flag. You have a bad reputation with a certain nation of always sinking traders that nation is not going to want to trade with you smuggler flag or not. They can do a whole lot with a proper reputation system in game.
  8. What they should do is not make ports buy them so folks can actually post the price they want to pay with contracts for large amounts, but the Free towns should seed them for folks that just want to work out of free towns. This is Morts prices fro them right now but you hardly see any one post them up to sale cause some jack arse will buy them and than repost them for a big mark up trying to make a quick buck. Hull Repairs cost 1034 to make 1300 listed in mort Rig Repairs cost 571 to make 1100 listed Rum cost 103 to make 450 listed I think the cost of Hull Repairs should be in par or lower than Rig Repairs.
  9. I kinda like the repair system, but I think we should go with the time I mention in testbed over and over. 15 mins was to long and 10 mins seems to short. So lets meet in the middle with the share cool down with 12 mins. I don't think 1 dura is an issue if you can lower the cost of none permit ships of 5th rate or lower. As for repairs I think it should be the one thing that is seeded in all free towns for folks to buy. Though to keep folks from buying them and resaleing them they need to lock them from being bought from the NPC. You can still put up buy and sale orders, but I seen folks go buy them and than sale them jacked up in cost way to high. Most folks don't buy them in port cause even at the capitals they are trying to make over 100% profits off them. I listed the price with 100 gold per labor hours the cost to make each one and what folks are currently saleing them for. Hull repairs have a shilght mark up, but you need to pay several thousands to worth of repairs each trip when you go out. The numbers depends on if your doing long from home reaids or keeping it light for short trips or loading up for PvE grind. I think the cost to make Rig and Rum isn't to bad, but Hull Repairs which are used the most cost way to much still. The price needs to be reduced to craft them. Are clan has a few none crafter guys doing the resources to make these and we just pool them up in the clan warehouse and pass them out when we group up for things, other folks are that lucky. The mark up folks do one things is what kills the econy me. That and folks buy up any thing you post for cheap and than repost it for 4 times the cost of making them. Hull Repairs cost 1034 to make 1300 listed in mort Rig Repairs cost 571 to make 1100 listed Rum cost 103 to make 450 listed The question a lot want to to know....oh Neutral Towns every one can use and make out post in like before (well pirates couldn't before, but they will now). You don't want the neutral town close than capture it and make it your nations port. I can see folks using this to make trade centrals. I can all ready seeing a clan making a certain port ours and than setting a decent tax and turning it into a major trade hub for all nations.
  10. I remember a certain clan that was formerly Brit and now France doing this with an Aggy in there fleet of Trincs. They couldn't get him down in time that our fleet caught up the Trincs had to take off and we still was able to finish off the Aggy and board him and capture it. It works some times and other times it doesn't. I know I have turned off my survival before and let a ship sink or blow to denie the prize just as many others have. Why would I let you capture my ship and use it against me? War is never fair, folks need to understand this... You want fair Legends will be your game. Yes and some ships where scuttled to keep from being captured. So they could not be refitted and used back against that nation if they feel in the enemy hands. As for the OP even my own clan has done this and we joked that what if they pop in late and found half our ships demasted as we sat around bored testing things out.....oh and I get pissy if some one shoots my ship without permission. I mean down right cranky pissy lol
  11. I believe it's cause they are tucked away in there own little pocket up north away from most other nations sharing only a border with Spain on the south. It normally takes another nation a bit to attack them unless they happen to be Spain or Pirates for the most part. When they do this patch they need to show a map of what things look like and give every one an updated count of the national activity and player numbers like they did back in March. Than pass out a new set of forged papers. Though I still have no clue what to do with mine. Though I admit I'm tempted to roll my second pirate back to Spain, but if I was to do that I would like to have a name change to what he had in Spain long time ago. Maybe all resources we have should be rolled back into redeemable and allow us to delete and make new chars in new nations and then redeem all our goods? example of PvP2 numbers they showed us in Mar this year. I have copy of PvP1 numbers but the format for PvP2 was done better. I know me and @Jon Snow lets go been asking for these for a while since the patch/merge and we have yet to get any update so folks know the actual server number break downs of each nations.
  12. One thing a few of us including myself has brought up the original game web page mention exploring the new world. A fog of war would be a lovely way to do this. When you create a new char you get a basic map of the world. A few key capital and trade ports show up, it's not until you actually explore that coast line and see those ports that you get to map them and they show up on your map. I been over the whole map and visited just about every port. I would do it again upon game relase if there was content to explore and reasons to do it. Add in sailing xp and Missions xp and that grind goes way down and a lot of us would be very happy with xp for damage. We should get xp no matter if you capture or sink the ship. The Gold and Marks should be your reward if you sink it and the ship if you don't. And xp for damage done should not be shared with a group. That is what is killing the rewards for PvP is that you have to share the rewards with others. Keep that part with the Gold and Marks, but make the xp off what you actually do in battle no matter how assist or kill any one. Hell do like some games and have an small percentage of your xp go towards a free xp pool that you can use on any ship you want to advance the ship knowledge of. This pool can even be broken down by ship type. Like I play a light ship, I get a small percentage of that XP I grind up in light ships that goes towards all light ships. So If I grind up a Heavy Rattler to 5 slots and more. Than 10% of that xp goes to all light ships or maybe all 6th rates to unlock the slots. This way you get a jump start on other ships of the same class.
  13. So they will be like Pirate FFA so you can pop in and tell the rest of your team where from a distance they can join? Cool that is great we have practice this and actually got it down where we could drop almost right next to the OUTLAW that was attacking a trader around our capital. I think this is great and sorry if you want to raise hostility it's the risk your going to take. #1 meta got so bad that some folks of some nation auto always run to the forts even when they out number you. At West End port battle out side I had sunk a Mercury and the low level in a snow turned an run....straight for the fort cause that what they teach them. The problem was it was a Pirate owned port...didn't go to well and I was going to even let the guy live like we did the fight before with a LtJg in a Privateer. It was one of those new clan guys from that twitcher. That is bad when they are learning habits like that and not how to properly fight. #4 High Risk needs to have Higher rewards. It's sad when I can do PvP all day and port battles and what not, but i get crap for rewards, loot and what not, but i can do one AI fleet mission and make more money and combat credits than all that time I did PvPing. #5 With all the updates these need to go, there is no reason to have lazer guided butt guns any more. Devs need to remove this from ships and let all guns have the same accuracy. I mean give them and chasers maybe the same buff or something but no where close to the laser guided tracking system stern guns have now. There have all ready been system put in to stop alt farming. No rewards for recently kill. Changes to rewards compared to ship cost.....the combat news has actually let folks know who could be farming. Just be strict one alts abuse and be done with it. I think Admin said it best in this post about alts.
  14. Might want to give a bit more details. Did you sail this to a shop/ai or player contract and what you mean server unstable? We actually have some one glitching (ghosting) right now in front of a port and getting them to gather info for the devs as it's not the first time it's happen.
  15. Just keep it simple. Marks/Gold you get for your Assit (half reward for BR difference) and Kills (full reward depending on BR difference multiplayer) for PvE and Than PvP gets the x3-5 (I prefer 5 myself for high risk high reward). Than reward XP for any damage done in the battle so that low lovel ships that help with demasting and sail shots can still get some reward. Than give a Assit and Kill bonus to xp. They could also add in things like mast, crew shock and other things to give slight bonus to xp for the fight. You should be rewarded XP even if a ship if captured. That is your reward instead of the marks and gold. While every one will still get xp for the fight, but no Marks are Gold cause you keep the ship. This will help a lot with the grind that folks are complaining about. That and make travel XP and missions xp go towards ship knowledge learning. I'm sorry I have no used for these XP any more cause I'm maxed level. That or let them become redeemable we can put on any ships we want. This was pretty much fixed when they raised the cost of ships and the rewards for gold wasn't even a small fraction of what ships cost. Not to mention the best thing to stop alt farming is the fact we have the one hour recently kill cool down and the even more recent COMBATNEWS channel. I'm sorry a ship and crew learns things as they do both sailing and fighting so they should get rewarded for both. The loot drop right now is pretty sad compared to other games and you get zero loot drop from PvP. All the while PvP drops the best loot out there. The best loot should be rewards for good RvR/PvP that can by bought by though players or as a random drop by PvE. Even better if they bring the AI Privatter and maybe some name elite ships to the game these ships can have higher rewards than normal chance on the OW ships. Alt farming currently is very useless any way. Not to mention if they just get strict on folks that get caught you will see a lot less of it. I can go out and run a few fleet missions solo and get way more rewards in an hour than I could trying to farm an alt all day.
  16. How did you loose the port if it was in your prime time and not theirs? Maybe cause they have multi players that can play in different time zones. Maybe you need to recruit more players than. I been in port battles all time zones and that is me, but other players can do it too. Sorry if you lost that port it's your own fault for not properly defending it. Better luck next time, should of had a better defense fleet since it was in your prime time when you lost it. Now it's in their prime time and they can properly defend it sounds like.
  17. We kinda saw this on the old flag system, but what folks did was set off times thinking a port will be safe. Well all we had to do is show up with Mortar Brig and maybe a few escorts and take that port in off times. The same with defense was to show up and just stop that mortar brig and a few escorts. It was nice to put the port times in our prime times slots and our clan did so for both US and AUS prime times cause our clan is made up of mix players. If you can't defend a port in your own prime time than you prob have to many or don't need them any way. Though with this new system a small clan can take a port and keep that port as there very own and than they can add some friend clans to help them with others. You get up to 15 friendly clans and if you have US prime time clans and AUS prime clans but none in EU time you can set your slots during those times. If you have only EU players and not other support in other time zones you set all your ports to EU time slots. Than if we want to take them as US players we have to plan that port battle for the weekend mid day if we want to take it. Just like they would have to during our prime times. Even though he's some times a bit one sided I love his videos. We really need xp for damage back. Keep Kill's/Assit for the gold and marks, but reward folks for the damage they do in a fight no matter the out come will make a lot of folks happy about the grind along with other changes.
  18. Good post but I wanted to point out something I noticed about a good major number of players these days. I noticed these days if you can't win folks just give up and do something else. They think if you ignore the problem it will go away and or fix it's self and not how it works in the real world, but there are folks that actually think this is how it works. How many times have you heard some one say, "We will just ignore them and they will get bored and go away." Well that is one of the many things and there are many things that kills the game and number of players. Hell add to that how many folks after loosing one port did you see in nation chat say, "BLACK TOOK A PORT WE ARE DOOM." All the while they have 20 something other ports still. One port/region is not the end of the world. So stop think it is. I remember when the patch drop there was some times up to around 70 folks trying to get into the empty Spanish port battles cause they wanted the conquest marks easy mode. As soon as they had to fight some one that could actually beat them they stop showing up. Stop using the fleet join thing as an excuse why they stop playing, we all know the truth is they couldn't muster a proper fleet in PB and apparently not out side. Once the mechanics got fixed and they couldn't just grief you out of the port battle and had to bring an actual proper fleet they stop showing. Funny how that worked out. We have rolled up up to a few ports in fleet groups and had folks try to tag us only to have it not worked. Old mechanics would of separated our group but now it doesn't work so they stop showing up and trying. So that tells you it was a very broken mechanic before hand. I also think it's funny that folks act like we don't do F11's and testing. I was prob one of the most active players on Testbed before this patched dropped. If there was more content on the current patch I would be more active on there right now. I did a lot of F11's and post. Some of the changes you see in game was cause of my feed back among many others in this game. When we find exploits we F11 them and report them and continue to do so. Just today I did three F11's cause of problems with the port battle and than after the port battle the game was doing all type of crazy stuff. Cause of these actions is why we know the game so well we test and play every aspect of it and learn them. We also learned every thing we could about the patch before it dropped. I scouted out where all the resources where going to be and what was needed and we hit the game running from the moment the server went live and we went straight into doing what was needed for the clan to get a head cause we got ZERO EU clans joining Pirates and we where told EU guys where going to teach us how to RvR. Yah ya'll sure showed us....
  19. Yah cause if we are going have to wait another 5 months for this patch while the server is dead like last time we had to wait 4-5 months your going to loose more and more players and I don't think this will be able to get them back. We are all ready getting the, "NO reason to RvR the map going to get wiped any way."
  20. I admit we had some good fights out side the ones we got fights with and not just folks tagging and running and we told them bring a proper fleet and we will just fight out side and not inside and they get to keep the port. As soon as the BR tag was fixed with new Fleet Groups they no longer fought us cause they couldn't beat us in the Port Battles. They honestly should of won PnP, Savannah and the attempt to retake George Town, we weren't expecting to win those fights. I kinda felt bad for the guys throwing them selves at us cause at that time the Port Battles gave Conquest Marks to the winners so the guys that did nothing and sat in side the port battle got the rewards with none of the risk. Yes the winners of a game or players that do the hard content should get the better rewards. High Risk High rewards. You want the cool kids toys you need to play the cool kids game or pay for it. Just like any other MMO out there. Hell many of them even lock epic gear from epic dungeons and PvP events to your player so you can't even trade them and the only way to get them is to be involved in the content. While others allow you to trade as long as you don't activate them on your char and folks make killing off these goods with trade to players that don't want to grind out the gear. Though with that there should be some cool PvE rewards too. One thing is make those RvR/PvP rewards none combat rewards. This would of been a great way to bring back paints. Port battle winners got a Paint Chest. PvP guys can turn in PvP points for Pain Chest at chance of random paints. A few ships would been good too, not the Heavy Rattler cause it's very key for Shallow water port battles. Though Niagara is an ow PvP ship, that would be a great reward for those points. The Ingermanland and Wapen isn't key in port battles since the meta is Aggy's and a few connies. So that could of been another. The other thing they could make the book drops remain RNG drops for PvE guys, but you can also buy them with your PvP/RvR marks.
  21. There is an old saying, "don't bring a knife to a gun fight." It's a SOL port so we expect to bring the best you can. Remember they picked the day and time to have the port battle. Not our fault they didn't bring the right equipment. US had 13 SOL's (10 1st rates) and we had 21 SOL's (18 1st rates). Our clan has a standing rule that every one keeps a 1st rate in that port for this reason since it's a SOL port battle. They learned this when they hit us after we took SLM. They thought our fleet was down south to only find out we almost all have 2+ SOL's for port battles. Another problem is they brought 3 mortar brigs, while effective but once you get inside the range or send Frigates after them they are useless. They had two Rear Admirals in two of them, it was smart putting the low level in the 3rd, but those RA's should of been in SOL and the guys in Surprises should of been in those Mortars. They also should of only brought 1 or 2 not three. That put them short on BR and man power. We actually only had 21 players in that fight....do the math on that one, remember I always say they are only fighting 15-20 of us at one time. They had two lovely lines at the start, but they have tried this many times in the past and never works cause they don't have the discipline to keep those lines and when it turns into a brawl they fall apart. Every time we see this move we take out the lead ships first cause we focus fire. I think me and Forphuxakes where the only ones close to getting sunk. I got demasted and stuck in the middle of about 5 of them and they still couldn't sink me. Than again it's a tanked out Carg/WO with Cart Tar. I bounced a lot of shots cause I angled myself every time I saw one ready up a broad side, but hay at that range you can't bounce every shot. As for the Stagger thing I think if we didn't they would prob had popped out at the very start like they have done in the past. I honestly been trying to do a battle like that. If you watch the video we made a call to not cap any circles other than A. We made the points completely on kills only. Oh and odd thing is our Forts/towers didn't spawn in for the prot battle so we had no port defenses which should of helped them if they had just brought a proper fleet. Which is why we keep telling them to stop trying until they can bring the proper fleet. Other wise you see fights like this. We want them to keep fighting but they need some wins and honestly they aren't going to get it from fighting us on that port. I would like to add GS6 was not in our TS so I was typing commands to them along with others so we still effectively fought them with two clans in two different coms (think they use discord). That was the first time we had a PB with them and they did good with listening to us in that fight and after the port battle OW PvP fights. And unlike folks think... my Vict only has one slot open...screw all that grinding to open up more, it's insane and we have clan members with all 5 slots open. Now my Heavy Rattler and Aggy on the other hand lol
  22. Are if a team of 10 guys with one alts makes up a group of 20 in a port battle (just throwing numbers out here, never been that bad) vs 20 guys on the other team. The 20 individual should have better odds at beating the 10 guys cause they aren't multi tasking and can concentrate more on the task at hand with only the one ship. This just proves that some one with more organization and team work is going to out play another team that has none no matter the numbers. It wasn't to hard to figure out the alts in port battles on our side. They are the guys that most the time are sitting in Cap circle A. It just means those guys are honestly that disorganized and/or bad. That still doesn't change the willingness to PvP or play the game no matter what game mechanics they come out with no matter what it's not going to stop that. Folks now a days just don't fight unless there is a sure win or some great reward. Than if they can't get that great reward they complain until the devs change the system. I still think PvP rewards should only be gotten through PvP and RvR Rewards should only be gotten through RvR. Just like any other game that if you want the Epic Gear you either have to grind the crap out of that Epic Dungeon or buy that gear for extremely high prices from those that grind it. I'm really hoping they go back more towards the PvP marks system on rewards for PvP/RvR...I'm sorry folks that want to ony PvE should not easily or cheaply be able to get PvP/RvR rewards. I do understand that we are just 10% of the game and we need the PvE guys and such to make the game go. More content would be nice. A reason for them to fight like resources would be nice too. When we had regional bonus there was reason to fight over certain regions. When you made those drops and RNG base there was no reason to fight over regions other than for Conquest marks so folks showed up, once you removed that than folks had no reason to show up so it went back to just the hard core RvR guys showing up. Any one can PvP or RvR so we need to have reason for the average joe/casual player to want to fight and join this part of the game. Main way to do this is to make the PvP/RvR rewards worth it. Right now they are not. So I"m hoping they change that with this patch.
  23. When we took Wilmington and Savannah pre-patch for Operation Camel Toe (we only meant to take two ports) that is how the nation acted like we one ported them and it was the end of the world. They still had 22 other regions back than which was more than any other nation even GB at the time. Than we take one port Savannah on GLOBAL and the guys that are the problem all act like they got one ported (even though British than took 5 ports from them.) That is the problem is the majority of your nations players are a bunch of quiters. They don't want to fight if they aren't going to get a sure win so instead there solution is to quit instead.
  24. How are they different a fight is a fight no matter if it's 1 vs 1 or 25 vs 25? The actions of a nations is more the actions of the nations own that are the problem. Have you ever thought that doing the same thing over and over isn't working for your nation? Giving up and going afk until some one gets bored and stop playing isn't how you win wars. Why should we change our actions when we are winning? Shouldn't it be the nation that keeps loosing that changes there actions if the said actions aren't working for them? Specially when the winning Nation are giving them advice as to how to become better players and win fights? I see folks blame others all the time for why they loose fights. That is the problem, they need to open there eyes and ask, "How come the other guy is winning all the time." Stop trying to blame every thing on Alts, Expliots and bad mechanics cause tell me exactly how US lost the port Battle today? They set the port battle at there time and day and brought the ships they brought. All we did was showed up to defend. The problem is you have the same unorganized and toxic players leading over and over and refusing to make a change or listen to others. When I ask folks why they leave one nation to come to another and yes we ask this all the time when clans and players leave other Nations and come to Pirates. "Why did you leave?" You want to know the number one answer we hear every time and it's pretty much the same answer I told them when I was asked the same thing over a year a go when I went Pirate. "No one is organized, they are toxic to new players and they refuse to work together and listen to any one else that wants to do something that isn't the same thing they been doing over and over and not working." Ask any of the guys that have left since patch or before it. They will pretty much tell you that exact same thing. The number two answer I hear and this is normally when we are down to one or two ports our selves and they come over to Pirates is, "Cause no one is fighting any one, all they do is sit in port or do trade runs." Folks want fights, by avoiding them you get players bored and they stop playing cause nothing is happening. This is actually how our numbers drop when we get bored and nothing is going on, but soon as there is action we call out and those guys come back. So the do nothing thing is not working as a means to win fights. The problem is players wanting to only win when they have odds and not try to win when they don't. I hear all the time from other nations, "Well we will just stop playing and go do something else." This is now how you win, this is how you loose. They other think is they say such and such used exploits and bad mechanics, but once those are fixed or removed and they have the same results what is there excuse than? That one nation is winning they should change how they win when it works so that a lazy nation that refuse to work together can have a chance? All the while the loosing nation keeps attacking the same target and bringing crappy fleets during off times expecting to win? No the problem is the actions not the game. You fix those actionis and I bet you the game will be much better and you will keep more players around. This is now my new favorite post of Admin..... I know that this game isn't all about PvP/RvR and I want things for folks to do, but don't blame the PvP/RvR guys when the rest of you refuse to fight or avoid other things of the game. With this patch they will have there happy places it seems or a larger safe zone, but this will hopefully encourage more clans to do there own thing instead of just expecting the nation to do it for them. If they want ports and resources than they will have to go get it for them selves. I mean those 1700 other players got to be doing something.
  25. Trouble who exactly are you in US again? Doesn't seem your using your chars name on here. I'm assuming you changed your name or something in game. Just would like to know who you are and if you actually show up for any of the fights or do you just sit in port and bitch about every thing? As for your question actually we used Pirates vs Pirates one time to set up our fleet and they can join any time it was open. The other port battles we used either AI or some random low-level. Ever port battle since the hotfix/patch that fixed BR Tag we have rolled up in Group Fleets, but you wouldn't know this if you never screen or show up for your port battles or attacked us. We don't screen defenses either. Ya'll did not loose Savannah the first time cause we tagged some fleet out side. In fact what was it only 18 of our 25 got inside the port battle so yes ya'll did screen us out. Just not enough and lost a lot of ships cause of it. Brits lost a lot of ships after wards too. You lost the battle for the same reason you lost the one today. US side has 25 ships with 10 1st rates, 3 SOL's and the rest are frigates mostly Belle Poules's and surprises (noticed these didn't get sunk so they brought nothing to the fight and where prob store bought ships). You brought 3 Mortar Brigs, that is to many 1 or 2 would of been enough. While they can be effective but that was two Rear Admirals that should of been in 1st rates. The LT in a Mortar Brig was actually smart as you put some one that can't man a SOL into one and they can support the higher level guys. I was demasted early in that fight and almost sunk, but I was able to get out of the middle of a hot spot and repair and not loose my ship. Prob was the only ship the US came close to sinking. You lost 13 SOL's in that fight...... Now the pirates side we had 24...started with like 16-18 as not every one was there. I count 18 1st rates, 3 SOL's and the rest 9a mix of Frigates, but they are PvP OW ships of GS6 guys. If your going to fight a SOL port battle you bring the ships for it. We all keep a 1st rate in that port just for defense. Want to know something...that was only 21 players you fought. Let it sink in why I all ways said you are only fighting 15-20 players. I actually own three Victory's for three regions of fighting we do. US/GB/FRANCE. I build all my ships on my own with no help of the clan for the most part. So US should have plenty of ships if they help each other out. Though we have it set up in BLACK right now we can pool resources and pop out several ships at one time if needed. West End port battle I was the only one with a Heavy Rattler and slots open. We made all those and opened 1-3 slots on all those Heavy Rattlers in one day. Again this is called Team work and organization. This is the reason US looses fight not cause of some mechanic we don't even use any more cause it was fixed on other BR mechanics that was broken. So get over it and get something new to blame your nations faults on....cause it sure as hell can't be your organization and teamwork? Oh did want to say those lines looked nice on the US side, but once again it proves line ship fighting doesn't work when you fight a BRAWLING PvP clan. We brawl so we are going to beat you at that every time. Specially once we break your lines. It ends the same every time.
