  2. Is this why so many players always reboot before important battles? I never have this issue, but 3-4 players in my clan reboot often, in* fear of crash.
  3. That's just not correct in my experience, because for me RvR > OW PvP. Result is that I give up ports in good PvP areas just to have RvR ports with ships sitting ready with repairs. So if I get more outpost slots I will get back the free towns I used to have. To get easier access to OW PvP. This again will bring more daily content to players I would normally not encounter. We always had way to few outpost slots, it's been annoying me for years. I do not believe a single player with out and alt character can enjoy all aspects of the game, because he just can't cover it all (OW hunting, RvR, trading and crafting ) with so few outpost slots. I totally get that it might seam unfair for players that we can pay money for such an advantage, but most of us already did this.. Many multiple times, with alt characters! I totally support giving all players access to more outpost slots, because I think it would bring more content out into this huge map. But if the only way we will get it is by a DLC, then ffs let me buy it!
  4. I was willing to pay for the ship because of the speed capability. As long as they don't nerf the speed on it, I will not complain. Just make it the most fragile ship in the game. Mast made of toothpicks with paper thick broadside armour. Spec it like the Lynx..
  5. Hercules will still be superior in for example the Nassau patrol area.. But on the other hand if the Hercules was excluded from that event, what good is it? Can a Hercules match a Suprise with out poods?
  6. We should have the ability to use all our fleets hold in OW and move cargo between them, it just logical. Then you can finally escort your own traders in a propper warship..! This would be a a serious game changer imo. Moving stuff between holds could have 15 sec cool down, and scuttling a fleet ship could demand you to sit still for 5 minutes before execution.
  7. A spanish armada was chasing HansTheHawk when he attacked an french AI fleet to get away from us. Two spanish players joins the GB side of the battle by mistake. UnknownUser was one of those. When UnknownUser friendly damaged HansTheHawk he was told immediately and explicitly not to do friendly damage because of tribunal, warning and possibility for demotion. He said he was not aware of this rule, he stopped, said he was sorry in battle chat, waited and left the battle. After that we all sailed away. No one was sunk here. The player that did the friendly damage was not aware of the rules. We informed him and he stopped and said sorry. We even left the area so HansThe Hawk could sail back to port in his 1. rate. Why is this in the tribunal? Do you want the cost of repairing your ship reimbursed? I would also like to add that HansTheHawk was saved 2 times by Graf Bernadotte, so he is basicly his guardian angel..
  8. We roll the ships hull on wood logs over land. Learned it from the vikings.. But seriously it's a symptom, sailing around in OW is a painfully boring time sink! We do it to to be able to craft ships and/or make gold, not because it is fun. So any form of shortcut I come across I will use to not waist time. What we need is auto skipper. I have several hundred crew, why can't one of them sail my ship to a designated port!?
  9. I miss sailing the Pavel. Its popularity has had some ups and downs in this game, but now its almost useless and needs a buff. The Bellona has more speed and better turn rate and chasers, while the Bucentaure has more firepower and around the same speed. So imo the St. Pavel is missing "magic mojo" to make it a viable option. It used to be fast, powerfull and have very good turnrate. I miss sailing it and I miss seeing other players sailing it as well. It is a seriusly good looking ship! Here I read that the Saint Pavel had 18 pd on the 3. deck: https://threedecks.org/index.php?display_type=show_ship&id=21416 I'm not sure how historical correct the info is, but if we could get the 6 pd cannons on the 3. deck replaced with 18 pd it would become much more powerfull. Add a speed buff or turn rate buff and the Pavel is back! I think..
  10. I look at this issue from another point of view : If it cost money to own something you don't use or need, why would you keep it? In my mind the solution is to make all ports profitable to own. Only when you chose to use defence timer or/and open for all nations, should it become costly to own a port.
  11. Oh yes! The last time I took part in something like this it took way to long to finish. So imo there should be a schedule with times and dates for all battles in advance. Then it is up to the teams to reschedule if the timing does not work. It's a much better place to start then first trying to get hold of someone on the other team, get a date and time out of them, check with your own team if this is works. If not = loop until result. Also backup player for all team members, so if 3 players are needed on each team, the team should have 6 payer registered.
  12. If I open a bottle and the ship wreak location spawns only on my map, then it makes perfect sense that other players could encounter this ship wreck in OW. This will provide more content in OW for all. I'm not sure I like that other players can pick and choose what to take. It should be the same for them, all or nothing.
  13. No, no, no! Graf is retired now. He only has spanish R&R on the agenda. His opinions are his private opinions, he is not a spanish official. So please remember this when he is slapping you around with facts, when he hurts your feelings, sink you or in some way steps on your massive ego.. 😱 If you really need a nation to blame for Grafs actions remember that Graf was "born" Swedish and trained to do forum PvP/propaganda by the swedish elite --> [HRE] 😆
  14. Please make a suggestion out of that. Imo it makes perfect sense and would place some and much needed depth into boarding. So if you end up boarding a enemy from a bad angle, that could cripple the attackers advantage (counter boarding mods). I love it!
  15. Determent defender works very well imo. The recrew option is very limited now, and has a long cooldown. So only reason you can't board players with determent defender in 1,5 hour, is either because you don't have a advantage or your not aggressive enough. I know you guys, you just want it to be fast and easy again! Shot some sails, push against the wind and then chain board the player while your mates rake.. There is no skill involved in this, it's just a gank.
  16. Removal of safe transport of upgrades - This is a just a punishment/time sink, so I don't like this. It works for books, because we don't need books that often. For upgrades it would be a serious increase in sailing time and that is NOT what this game needs imo.. Ability should be given to clans to completely lock trade in the controlled city - YES, but make it extremely expensive over time. So it is not an viable option to just block the rest of the server out indefinitely. But replenishing the clan warehouse in an emergency shortage is doable.The "BLOCKING" could be done by just reserving the use of contract to the members of the clan who owns the port. So if there is some goodies in stock that are not bought up by contracts, "other nation players" still have a chance to get some.. xD The cost for locking trade access to a port could be exponentially increased each day. So reserving the ports output/production for 1, 2 or 3 days could be achieved with out having to pay to much, but locking it down for more than week should not be a financially viable. The the cost of reserving should also have a cooldown on it, but the decrease should be slower than the increase. So to counter the cost increase of locking it 1 day, it should be unlocked for 3 days. . This will make at least some cities - a must have - and will create constant pressure to capture. Make the absolute all the must have resources for RvR available in 3 ports spread out across the map. One high BR deep water, one low BR deep water and shallow water. That way if 1 nation is able to capture and defend all 3 ports of 1 vital resource, they are to strong and RvR would have died out for a period anyway.. In the long therm the stronges RvR clans raise and fall. Nothing last for ever so I don't se a huge issue here compared to the number advantage we already have.
  17. I used it once to help protect 3 trade ships. One of the reinforcement ships spawned on a collision course with one of my traders that where running. Result they both stop, and my trader get's boarded by an enemy player. I was able to escape with 2 out of 3 ships. So it kinda worked out, but the enemy players where never ever in any danger of getting sunk.. Imo the AI in reinforcement fleets are to weak and predictable against player who knows how AI behave, so they are not very good at protecting anything. Having 1. rates spawn is a overkill and just not realistic. Therefor I would much rather prefere that the reinforcement AI was buffed to epic event AI. They are much harder to kill, they are fast even when chained down and they a pose a real threat to players. They could also be taught to stay and protect the player ships, in sted of wandering off after a single ship they can never catch anyway.. Or learn them to use chain..! 😅 I forgot that the AI reinforcement fleet was demoted. So it's on the to-do list to test this from the other perspective 😈
  18. Game settings -> global or enemy communication or chat -> Disable. I believe it disables all enemy communication in battle chat, but I'm not 100% sure.. And I don't remember exactly what it is named, but it is in the settings somewhere xD And you can still see friendly team chat. It might affect global chat also, I don't remember. It was enabled by default when I started playing, so all I remember is that communication with other nations was not possible/difficult.
  19. I like the OP suggestion in it self. It would add much needed content to OW and a reason not to just afk sail all the time, but keep an eye out for something interesting. I would still like like to add "The Trap" scenario for a bit of a challenge, and to not make it a guaranteed easy payday every time you spot a abandoned ship. So you spot a Brig abandoned just drifting at a distance and as you sail closer to investigate. If it's a trader it might have some good loot in the hold.. Scenario 1: The enemy crew appears from under the deck, they man the cannons, sails and raise the black. Scenario 2: An enemy hunter AI appears on the horizon and hunts you in OW. The enemy AI could be like a single AI from the epic event. If if you defeat it you can loot a special chest. The enemy ship can be special, so capturing it might be worth the risk. I do get that if you stumble over a scenario like this while afk sailing 4 fully loaded Indimans with no repairs in the hold, it would suck to get slaughtered by a AI Brig on steroids.. Or hunted down by a AI 3. rate for that mater. But I afk sail a lot, and I like the idea as long as it's 1 or 2 out of many other easy payday scenarios, and just spotting a abandoned ship wold be rare. We had aggressive AI fleets sailing around in OW back in the day attacking players, so that feature could be refurbished and reused for the 2. scenario.
  20. Using alts + contracts are less time consuming than just having alts. Totally support this, but the port owner should also be able to decide who can buy stuff in their ports. Better fix for alt monopolizing the buy markeds with constant updated contracts.
