  1. And what about PVP 3 ? Things get complicated... Are current clans getting mirrored along with players on today's new server?
  2. I do love the idea but with a slight change. The escort you're going to face should auto-scale to the group that's attacking. I mean 3 to 4 first rate ships is end game play for sure and not everyone will be able to participate. I'd like these missions to open up to anyone. Well you could say that the escort will be made up of 3 ships minimum to make it almost impossible to do solo but those 3 to n ships will have their class adapted to the highest rank ship that enters the instance.
  3. This is an absolute must. We need an AFK timer to free up slots that are being squatted by players that don't want to wait in queue when they login. Another suggestion I have is to be able to sign up on the waiting list of a server, move on to a PVE server to XP while you wait and have a monitor somewhere that tells you how much time you still have to wait. When slot is free, you will then receive an alert message giving you 10mn to switch over. After 10mn (plenty of time to escape a battle or teleport back to port), if you don't show up, your waiting slot get's canceled. OK this is a quick and dirty fix but might help while devs figure out how to get more players per server....

  5. As someone working in the software industry for over 25 years, I'd like to congratulate the team behind NA for this very successful launch! They said they would open servers on the 19th and even gave a precise time and sure enough, they stuck to schedule. I'm sure there's still stacks of work waiting but to see so many players on line yesterday having a great time was a fantastic sight. Keep it up guys.

  8. This isn't true. When I first moved from my Yacht to a Snow, I attacked lone smugglers (not escorted), enter battle, they flee and you can practice all you want jibbing and tacking with different speeds and sails without worrying the least about taking fire.

  11. Sorry if someone already suggested the following. With no escort ships allowed any more above rank 4 (or is it rank 3 ?), I find that the port missions are very hard to accomplish in solo mode. Sure you can team up and then it's a different ball game but the issue is what can you do when you log in and your friends are away? My Suggestion therefore would be to distinguish team missions from solo missions. Examples: Solo missions Fight a single ship (and not a pair of evil twins ). If a ship has a fleet, their fleet would not appear in the battle instance. Convey goods to a port and return under a set time. Participate in a race. Swallow of the Seas: Goal is to be the first to circumnavigate a given island. Prizes would take into account the ship level (7 - 1) Team Missions Enter a PVE fight where opposing BR adjusts to the size of the fleet entering the battle Escort a transport convey from one port to another. During route, the convoy will be attacked at a random point (imagine Battle Marker popping up where the convoy was), team needs to be close by to enter battle immediately (time limit) and fend off the attackers while ensuring the convoy remains afloat). Depending on difficulty level there can be more or less pirates and more or less attacks before reaching destination. Find and attack a convoy. Spies have discovered that an important convoy is leaving [Enter port name here] on the [Enter Date and Time here]. The convoy will be heavily guarded by escort ships. With your team mates, intercept the convoy. Capturing will deliver more XP and Gold than Sinking it. To simplify UI, we can imagine the same mechanism as today: One ship represented with the list of fleet ships mentioned in it's description. Well, I can come up with many more of these missions and I'm sure the development team is thinking of them. My point is to add some extra gameplay for PVE even on PVP servers to extend the pleasure of logging in.
