And now you try to insult us. Just like you do with every other Nation. Also there is no clear definition of what a Pirate should be. If you look back into history they have been many things. Even the Admins have stepped in with proof of Pirate Nations. The Pirate Coalition will play this game how we like and no matter how much you try to change that we will continue to do so. We do not try to tell you how to play the game. Although you seem to be living up well to how the greedy British Empire was portrayed at this point in History. How did that end up for them?

Perhaps our view of what a Pirate should be is different to yours? How about you let us Pirates decide how to play instead of trying to get Devs to change the rules to suit you better? Throughout these forums you insult not only the Spanish but the French, Danes, Swedish... You have a forked tongue and your promises are hollow. You would give with one hand while take with the other.

I do so enjoy reading these forums. Charles you state how much you admire and love Spain in one post and then insult them in the very next. This is why you are having trouble on all fronts. Not because of us 'pesky good for nothing Pirates'. You can do your very best to portray us an the evil villian here but the fact remains.. the word of a Pirate is worth more than the promises of your Empire.

If you repeat a lie enough it does not become the truth. The first major offensive from the Pirates against the Brits happened after the France war. We were occupied in the bahamas at that point.

We Pirates do not ask anything from Spain. We do not demand fealty or subservitute. We simply encourage a proud Nation to stand up for what they believe in and not bend the knee to an opressive neighbour who has taken from them everything. We do not demand peace or agreements. We hope that Spain will become strong again so that we can once more enjoy solid pvp against the Nation and one of our closest neighbours.

This would appear to be a clear breach of rules with good evidence to support it. On top of that the accused admit doing it and argue their point for breaking said rules. This should be dealt with swiftly to ensure that others get the message. Breaking the rules is punishable. The accused also seem to be aggresive both in game chat and on the forums. They show no remorse and instead insult all parties.

I am sure the Devs could check the logs to see if the governor set a timer. This is a known bug however and we have had the same issue where a timer will randomly dissapear.

Why would Spain sue for peace now? This is their chance to bite back against a crumbling empire which is beset on all sides by its enemies. Why ask for ports when you can take them?

You will very rarely find us retreat from a fight. We fight till the end and if we have to die we cause as much damage as possible on the way down.

Seems like a legit tactic. If it looks like you might lose withdraw. You both save your ships and rob your enemy of a victory. Although we are Pirates so we would have just rammed everyone until we blew up if it looked like we might lose.

Ahoy!As Pirates we do not have formal Alliances but instead treat other Nations with the same respect that they show us. We have had our skirmishes with Spain before however you have always been honorable in battle, win or lose. This is why we have not pushed into your ports from the east. We would rather you gather your strength again so that once more we can enjoy steady pvp. This is also why we did not retaliate after your attack on one of our ports. Due to the respect that you have shown us in the past, we hope that before long the Spanish Nation will sharpen its claws once more and wish you the best of luck.

Unlike some we do not claim to be the best.. or the 'only true Piates'.. or the largest. We simply invite you to come and join us and see for yourselves. As long as everyone is having fun then we are happy!

I think you have me wrong. I am not complaining at all. I am attempting to understand the issue so that a resolution can be suggested rather than just pointing fingers. The current tagging mechanism is open to various amounts of abuse and could use a revamp at some point. Having said that the players above have not broken any rules as far as I can tell. You are able to join them in battle and you could have attempted to sink them then. The issue is wider than a few Pirate players doing this and DOES pass over to other Nations. Now that we know that what would be a good suggestion for a fix?

As far as I am aware you become a Pirate when you do over a damage threshold to a friendly player? Also this can easily be done by pulling in your enemy at maximum range so that they can never catch you in the battle. If someone does not want to be caught with the current mechanics they can always use them to get away.

Blaming an entire Nation on the actions of a few is narrow minded. Especially since this is also done by other Nations. How about we find a solution rather than pointing the finger?

When Sweden and France were at War with the Danes the Pirates were putting very little pressure onto the Brits. In actual fact our main attention was on the US. We also had no contact with the Danes. This came after. We now currently have a Gentlemans agreement with the Danes. Also when you speak about zergs please remember that the Brits still out number any other faction 2-1

The posturing and excuses here are quite funny. Firstly no the Pirates do not outnumber the Brirs and US combined. The fact that you say that suggests that you are not very well informed or connected with the game as it currently stands. The British outnumber the Pirates by a clear margain. I would presume Pirates come second in the line up with US shortly after. As for us being the great menace we have simply responded to attacks upon our own boarders. When your neighbours have the shallow minded 'All Pirates are scum and must be wiped out' mentallity then we will of course respond alike.

Erm. As usual everyone seems to be trying to put blame on the Pirates for this. Quite frankly it is starting to get humerous. I have seen National players abusing the system in very similar ways so perhaps its time to get down off your high horse and we can come to a reasonable solution? What stops National players from also doing this? As far as I am aware if neither of the attacks each other neither will turn Pirate?

Pirates were fighting the US at that point mainly. The Pirate push hapoened after the Danes attacked Sweden and France.

Lawless... and yet we have as much order within our ranks as any other Nation which has rules to manage it. More so than some actually. Pirates believe in honour above all else and we keep to our word. You see we work with what the game gives us. We do not demand that the Devs change it to suit us better or for the detriment of another Nation so that we have an advantage like some. How about you let us Pirates worry about how to Pirate and you worry about whatever it is you do?
