  1. During the port battle for Puerto Bello the forts remained silent even though we had guys sailing right underneath their guns. Only at 100-200m the towers suddenly started firing. Also then they started to fire out of the bottom of the tower. We F11ed it. https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/779533380023265504/5FC8CEF70AA0451918782E2F3A005289B6ED09A0/
  2. Mini fix to this. When opening the report function it seems to activate the market windows. At least that is working for me. But the problem still presists that the market isn't loading in!!!
  3. Working on it Main difference is that on global we have a proper strategical plan. We secured key resources first and are now working our way through strategical ports. We also don't blindly attack giving our enemies endles amounts of marks so they can show up in vastly superior ships the next time around. The initial actions of the GB Nation on EU were very flawed but at this stage they are hello kittyed just due to the game balance having gone to shit. When your enemies show in 2nd rates how is anyone supposed to come out in 5th rates especially when its your only ship worth making money with?!?!
  4. You clearly haven't read what I wrote at elast that is the only way you could come to that conclusion from my post... There are people with no hostility points that have a valid right to join the port battles!!! Crafters that supply a shitload of cannons and ships lack the time to grind hostility and also procure resources. Those who donate PvE points for war supplies have no hostility points., etc... This would lead to half filled port battles. People simply don't have the time to do hostility grinds and port battles all the time... This would kill the ability to fill the rest of the slots with those who haven't done hostility. Let's say this is introduced and there aren't enough guys with hostility around. Same problem still happens. 25+ People are needed to bring the fleet in but then only half can jump in leaving the other half a major target outside.
  5. There are several reasons to not immediately jump into battle. Seeing where the enemy places themselves, waiting for the last 3 people, keeping the entire fleet together as loners/half a fleet would get picked off, etc... Just because you can jump in doesn't mean you should do so (right away). In addition there are several people who join port battles without hostility points and still have a valid right to take that place. So how about those guys then? You ask us to organise better but then tell us to 'just jump in early' in total chaos. I fail to see the logic here!
  6. Bullshit. You can ban them on TeamSpeak or not give them resources. In the end they can still continue to jump in and now they aren't even on comms. Unless you allow me to hand out a flogging for people falling out of line there is nothing leaders can do to control the others. The only thing that holds these communities together is their own discipline and self restraint. One dickhead can turn that all apart and barely anything can be done about that.
  7. I hate to break this to you but there is no nation that bothers with that region other then leisurely play PvE. The only reason Brits ever attacked there was to create port battles to train new players aka we didn't actually care about that region(and no one ever showed). And the Spanish only cared about it to maintain peaceful PvE zone and because the region used to have a Strong Hull bonus which is gone now. Not even the US ever cared about it other then 'make the map green'. Even now it is just too far away. You can lead on TeamSpeak all you want. If people just click on join then what do you do?!?!. Especially on global we are not enough to tell more then 3 people to hello kitty off for their actions without harming ourselves!!!
  8. That won't work for global though! Even in the British nation one of the top three over there a lot of clans consist of less then 5 players. We already are constantly swapping resources/cannons/marks betwen clans jsut to keep the nation running. While among the main groups this might find balance there will be a whole lot of people being left out!
  9. I like it except for three problems that arise now. There will be trouble now with people demanding spots in port battles or being denied entry by others. This was already troublesome before with the limited port battles and slots but making this change now requires the individual to grab that spot. It will lead to players jumping in early or 'stealing' slots away from hostility grinders. (And no hostility points is no solution as half the fleet jumping in just to ensure their participation means the other half gets killed outside!) As I understand it those that wish to keep their pension need not only continue to own the port but also defend it. This would require the exact same 25 people to show every single time a port gets attacked... If we remember Castries or Bridgetown which were held for quite a while by the Brits on the former PvP1 server this would be near impossible! This new system still fails to address the work surrounding a port battle. Crafters making the fleets, hostility grinders enabling the battle and screeners guarding the ports or escorting the fleets all remain unrewarded for their activity.
  10. btw we are currently having a steady line bewteen 200-350 players. Honestly on the global server an EU daytime flip is more likely then a nightflip. Also I will always welcome the French with open arms - means I can get a fight without return fire where I can look at a lot of white flags (take it for the joke it is)
  11. Never took any money - totally innocent
  12. Problem is still appearing. Do you need a new F11 everytime this happens to provide several reports or is one enough (don't want to spam you guys)? I had stopped reporting it after the second time.
  13. Worst case is that some of the people in that battle have made well compiled arguments for important topics and this shitshow will now completely invalidate those discussions...
  14. @koltes why did you quote me there?
  15. Aye - I generally have my problems witht eh marks system but seeing half of teh Cartagena fleet some of which played at 2-3am come out without any gain except for the port itself is a bit lackluster. If the marks system stays tehre should at least be a minimal reward especially because it is extremely easy to deny marks even when the enemy wins the battle!
  16. While I 100% agree that this is not ok I think it is only a symptome. The root of this sadly is the insanely high costs of maintaining fleets these days. People cheating rarely is entirely down to them being scumbags - it is mostly down to them seeking a way to jump hurdles they deem as annoying. That so many could be convinced to do this so early into the newest patch jsut shows how many actually are already fed up with the marks system.
  17. Good luck. If Dutch/British relations remain calm I will be happy to offer you favourable cannon and ship production prices coming from Cartagena. Should take a day or two to set up first though.
  18. As a British captain I wasn't aware of the other voices but I was hoping that it was already implemented as such. It would be a great idea and I am sure more voices will be eagerly provided.
  19. Let me start positive. I AM LOVIN THE NEW SOUNDS. sry that had to be in caps. What really puts a dampener on the early ship grind for me though is that AI ships are now merely a dmg farm with very little loot. Not being able to capture them and their little loot combined with less space in cargo due to cannon and repairs weight means mixed gameplay between PvP and PvE is not feelign rewarding at all. I udnerstand that we aren't supposed to be able to jsut cap together 4th rate fleets but I'd propose letting all 7th and 6th rates be cappable (they're supposed to be cheap anyway) and all higher rates are auto sold to the admirality (we already had that with SOLs). That makes the PvE which we have to play to grind and need to fill the time gaps (considering the next capital is at least 30mins away) interesting again. It also provides some small resources (breaking up)or additional money/not having to pay for a trader snow thereby easying the early game experience without making the later stages too easy. Let's face it no being able to cap AI ships does not bolster PvP if it is at least 30mins away. On the other hand attractive PvE gets people out of the ports and provides possible targets for the PvP crowd.
  20. more santa cecilias and blueprint unavailability... - will you guys not learn that was already a hated thing in the last iteration putting more ships in that won't make it any better... This is not a free to play game - we don't need or want 'unlock weekends/events'. We jsut wanna play a game with all its content.
  21. bug report has been sent earlier today as well - hope it helps
  22. I'm on global and I get that around all the ports of Jamaica as well - only thing that helps is to restart the game. Mustve restarted like 6 times already...
