  1. Bollocks! What YOU do carries no risk to you at all, carry on.
  2. Christ! You really think we can afford to split the servers? The game struggles to hit 500 players as it is and you want to split that into two servers? People are leaving the game every day because of the Requin bullshit, don't you think a divide would be detrimental?
  3. I, (and I'm sure many others) am wondering, did you hit your head recently or something? It's just that you've turned into a right proper dick on the forums lately. Certainly not the sort of behaviour you'd expect from someone charged being responsible for helping to run a community. (Although, given the mindset of a majority of the remaining players, it probably fits)
  4. Surely the issue here is that you were able to RAM the Diana and nothing was done to you?
  5. That's WHY there should be no AI fleets in safe zones. If you want to fight AI for the better rewards and loot then you should have to leave the safe zone.
  6. No one is crying over anything, it is an "exploit" to get around a limitation the developers have quite rightly put into the game and should be fixed
  7. Or not let DLC ships be taken in fleet at all, you can't cap them anyway so what's the point.
  8. That makes no sense to do what so ever, it is much simpler for all ships in tourneys to be oak/oak with no perm upgrades. That way there is no silly bouncing or repairing almost 50% of your ship, just a straight up brawl, which is what those battles should be
  9. And Swivels cannot load chain right? Just seems like an oversight, hopefully can be easily fixed at some point That being said, the same effect can be applied to any ship by only firing chain from the main gun deck
  10. It really was, I think what made the difference was that everyone there wanted to fight AND no one was worried about how they were going to replace their favourite ship or the expensive upgrades because there weren't any. Oak/oak ships with no perm upgrades is definitely the way to go for these type of battles.
  11. Very enjoyable battle where the only thing that was important was the fight. Thanks again
  12. All valid points, but it doesn't change the fact that A recently killed player can earn rewards but rewards are not given for sinking them. I'm not even suggesting it should have to be PvP marks but the gold and combat marks should still be given
  13. Well it doesn't work, it is obsolete, it does more "harm" than good. It needs to go.
  14. Pointless, if I were to surrender and then my "friend" sinks my ship I don't have recently killed status. Repeat and Rinse. Combat news does more to flush out alt farmers than "recently killed" ever has
  15. A recently killed player can still tag and can still enter combat AND still receive all the rewards associated with sinking another player. SO why can we not get rewards for sinking them? Of course I understand why it is there (to discourage griefing) but I don't think it is any longer relevant, especially in today's "revenge fleet" culture the game has. If a player is still able to tag and enter battle then rewards should still be given to the player that sinks them surely. @admin
  16. That resolution though, how do you even see anything?
  17. What about? Changing it so the only AI ships that travel in or to protected waters are traders, and not allow missions above master and commander to be taken at non capture-able ports?
  18. Yeah Indefs can be scary, especially if you are running a carro set up But even then you should tag and assess the situation
  19. That's a good point, When I go out or I go out with Merewether we make it a principle not to join any PvP battle in which we would dramatically unbalance the sides. If it's a 1v1 of fairly equal BR then we will sail on past. If we join, we will join on whichever side has the lower BR to even the fight up (unless us joining wouldn't make a dent in the BR deficit, in which case we casually sail away pretending we see something interesting on the horizon) but we wouldn't join a "gank in progress", it's just not fun. And I think that's one of the biggest issues with the general mentality of the current player base. "Everyone ganks so I might as well gank"
  20. That is just ONE scenario, I see as many Hercs out there as I do Requins. I also see Endymions, Bellonas, Pirate Frigates, Belle Poules and many others
  21. Might want to look up the definition of a "ganker" sir "It is a word commonly used in online video games, usually used in an MMORPG. Ganking is the process in which a group of characters gang up on one or more players that do not have a chance to defend themselves, Or when one high level player does the same action to a player below his or her own level" A single person can definitely be a "ganker"
  22. Yeah, all those Crew Space, Very Cramped, Light Ship Hammocks and Double Marines outfitted Requins are there for a fun "fight". At the moment I am having lots of fun in Spanish waters, but that's partly because there are so many different nations for me to fight in one place. Do I attack a trader that strays out of the zone or on its way to jump across Cuba at Batabano? Of course I do! BUT I feel at least 1/3 the ships I encounter are from other nations and if it wasn't for that then I'd think I would've lost interest in the area already. We should be attacking ALL players we see (providing the sailing profiles allow it) instead of limit our targets to those we deem to be easier.
  23. Stop complaining about it being unfair that there is somewhere for people to start the game with a bit of "protection". If you REALLY wanted actual PvP then you would attack the other hunters in the area when you see them, but that very rarely happens. Instead we get constant complaints of "We have to go to the safe zones because it's the only place to find PvP" yet you nearly always sail past the other hunters to look for the easy kill. I don't blame anyone in particular, it has just become the norm in the game. In fact last week I was hunting around La Habana and saw a Polish Herc so I tagged it, it created all sorts of drama because I attacked another hunter instead of ignoring him.
