  1. Makes sense, but the good mods are cool mil. That's pretty steep.
  2. I know its a careful balance but right now it seems that those of us that don't have countless hours to invest are having a hard time. Paying for crew replacement is what tipped the scale for me. Just some feedback to however is listening. As the Veterans get better and better and higher ranks the balance will be harder to strike IMHO. Hornblower V
  3. I call on the brotherhood of Europe and the Americas to rise up or be slaughtered! Show no mercy for you will be shown none!!!
  4. Pirates should not be able to sail SOL's. This will keep the balance at historical levels. Make it interesting and powerful for them in other ways.
  5. I would much prefer nation on nation action primarily and have pirates be mainly raiders...able to take shallow water ports and raid commerce but not sail warships and SOLS. Much more historical and realistic...
  6. Sorry to multi-post this. Just want to be heard. I do feel damage model is too difficult. I will be back once it is changed I also feel that trading has been ruined now that ports stop buying. I sailed the whole southern Caribbean and Yucatan and could not find buyers for multiple goods. Devs took away the compass wood boon but now I can't sell anything. Maybe Im doing it wrong. I feel that SOLS are too strong for fun game play. Not everyone can devote countless hours for battles and learning how to perfectly rake opponents. Its tough to find the balance for the hard core and casual player. I believe the last damage model was better balanced. I want to play a fun game that is challenging but not impossible. Historical accuracy is important but may be second place in some details. I would prefer most of the action be nation on nation with occasional pirate shallow port captures and extensive commerce raids. Pirates should not sail SOLS and should not take large ports. I fear that there are so many people forgetting this game is still in development that they are getting frustrated by the "rule Changes". Perhaps Devs should have admitted fewer testers until full release. I bet many will come back after full release. When is full release?

  8. My vote yes...with original intended armament. Also, Why not some of the US late wooden 74's?
  9. I don't have the time to devote most days to missions lasting above an hour if I want to capture a ship. I can sink it much faster... What kind of PVE content?
  10. Not instant surrender and not everytime... Perhaps if the crew morale gets to a low point or if you are able to rake the ship a certain number of times after dismasting?
  11. I must say that with all the grinding it takes to rank up, if I have to beat my enemy to a pulp every time before I board at least the ship should basically hold still. Sea anchors would do very little. Boats towing would do more but then we could sink them. With these above exceptions, dismasted ships generally would surrender to avoid needless bloodshed. Tired of the grind and a battle taking above an hour...
  12. Dismasted ships should not be able to turn at all! They should turn beam on the wind and drift. It is not realistic fro them to be able to maneuver still. Ships with only a spritsail should only be able to sail away from the wind! Please fix these inaccurate physics. I still feel dismasted ships should occasionally just surrender...would be more historically accurate. Great game! Hornblower
  13. Seems totally non-historically accurate and cowardly! Ships should not be able to flip like that. FIE!
  14. Hi Everyone, Anyone know of a list of all the nations' capitols? Thanks, Hornblower V
  15. I have sent a note to the admin asking to join. Is there anything else I can do?
