  1. Reputation could work for everyone, at any time. I brought this up in the progression thread- if done right, reputation could be what players rank up for. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/7577-feedback-on-the-current-progession-system-patch-8/?p=143702
  2. Whom are you referring to? GrapeShot or myself? Me, never been lucky enough to.
  3. Please, please remove pop-ups from the center of the screen. They seem to occur a the worst times.
  4. Just to iterate this one line: For example, if you're fighting in a storm 1 out of every 60 battles, it's noteworthy. If you want to raid a port, waiting until there's a storm/fog for cover from reinforcements or batteries is a good idea for consideration.
  5. How about zooming way out on the OW and you see older-style latitude/longitude lines like a map was below the waves? Just a thought.
  6. I don't forsee myself every using a SoL either, I believe a pirate should be capped at a frigate. However, how could this be balanced? Perhaps by having access to a unique class of ship, like a Xebec?
  7. I've seen the results of people wanting to throw "realistic immersion" into games- it leads to an exponential amount of challenges as well as tangent changes that get to a point that one needs to step back and ask if it's really necessary, especially at this point in game development.
  8. I wouldn't necessarily consider it micromanaging. I think at the most just having it affect visibility and OW speeds is enough. However, put into an instance having not just rougher seas but also limited visibility combined with a need to manage the rapidly changing wind/potential for rogue waves to cause you to take on water would add an element. The real question I believe would be the frequency and impact of the events. Rare enough to be noteworthy but frequent enough to always be a consideration. Another side note would be the tactics involved in needing to have lower decks closed, and how it can change the tide of a battle.
