I highly agree that the devs should add Sloops, even as a premium. I think the best sloop to develop would be a Bermuda style one

Usually if your ship catches on fire and then explodes (which is rare) it usually just blows off your masts and causes damage to the crew and ship. My idea is to add ship splitting after a second explosion than just blowing off your masts and causing damage again. This would be a super rare occurrence considering the rarity of a ship exploding a second time but I think it would be a very fun edition to the game and would make it much more realistic because barely any ships survived a large 2nd explosion and sometimes split apart (depending on where the explosion was).
Some examples of ship splitting in games is in Empire and Napoleon Total War. I know it would be a lot of coding to do but it would look very beautiful in-game especially with the Unity engine and I think a lot of players would enjoy seeing a giant explosion followed by a ship splitting apart and sinking like the Titanic.

Join the British Royal Navy! The Brits are usually helpful and the locations the Brits have are good as well. A second good choice is the Dutch due to a super nice player base and the Dutch Antilies Squadron if you want to join them however do keep in mind the Dutch don't have many locations so it might be bit of a hard nation to stand by location wise.

I mean, really, this is just a surrender because the war was already lost, but the French want to glorify it as being a cavalry "charge", it probably happened very much differently than what the paintings say.
It's like claiming that every U-boat was captured by the British because of the armistice signed at the Treaty of Versailles after WWI requiring all U-boats to surrender immediately and sail to British home ports.
Very good point Commodore Wesley, You cannot always trust what the one-sided paintings of the actual event because a lot are usually over exaggerations of the real thing. Still though, it would be quite funny if instead of a surrender the Dutch actually fought and the French lost no one anyway.

Denmark built 93 ships of the line between 1700 and 1820 (including 5 1st rates), Sweden 68.
Shouldn´t be hard to find a 'special' big ship for these factions...
I do understand the Dutch and Danish did have those exceptions with some big ships like those 5 1st rates you mentioned hence why I said the few exceptions. As for Sweden even though they had ships of the line most were quite small compared to other ships of the line with most being 40-60 gun ships

This is the HMS Tecumseth, She is a replica of a British topsail Schooner at Discovery Harbour here in Ontario,Canada. On top of being a cool attraction at the harbour she also can sail!

Well i think now we need some danish, swedish and dutch ships in game. Vote for them!
One of the problems are that those mentioned factions didn't really have any big ships after the year 1700 except for a few danish and dutch exceptions so if they implement ships special too those factions they would probabaly be Frigates unless they decide to add some of the few exeptions I mentioned for the Danish and Dutch. The Swedish did not really have any big ships with most their navy being corvettes so it would be hard to find a big ship for Sweden and implement it. However it would be nice to have any type of special ships for those factions either way

They did, but overall I think it would be a waste to spend time in coding a small amount of historic sail colors instead of just keeping them white considering most ship sails were white anyway. Plus even if they were implemented it would be inaccurate to put them on frigates or higher because they only had the default white or greyish sails historically except for a few exceptions.

I personally do not like the colored sails idea because barely any ships of the that time in history had colored sails with the only exception being very small ships/vessels. I think a figurehead and ship naming Mechanic would be cool though along with ship color schemes as long as they are historic to the nation that the ship is in. As for the custom flags I think the only acceptable way to add them would be making them pre-made and available for purchase at ports because any other way of doing it could be exploited by players or just could simply take too much coding.
P.s You would also need the nation specific flag on your ship aswell instead of the custom flag replacing the nation's flag
