  1. Maybe already mentioned but, make the battle instance more alive. Pleas Add; - some static things on the deck - some officers, marines and sailors on the deck. Static or animated doesn’t matter but something? it looks really empty on the top deck’s - give the guns recoil, and let them be runned out when reloaded. And ditch the enemy’s reloading and reloaded guns UI
  2. think we are going to regret this thonys, imagine swastica's, specific male & female body parts etc etc are going to show up. How many time i have reported people for "beeing creative" with their emblem on battlefield to sneak in a swastica for their strong feelings for neo nazism is a lot. "Buddah sign my ass, mister smarty pans" i only want historical flags only.
  3. On point 1) increase turnrate, • does this work in real life aswel? •And does the battlesails give such a speed reduction by pulling up you main sails? •And does the upgrade to unity 5, give you that "magic" so the animations are well integrated into the sequences?
  4. First things firts, the person above me is a imposter ^ Just join PvE server a whole server dedicated for this, once you get the game mechanics you can join the PvP. And still rookie or no rookie once you join PvP ganking is always present, unless the ROE sytem is overhauled. If you do join the PvP server rules are very clear to succeed; •join a Clan •only sail with a bunch of people •stay active by playing NA a lot
  5. I still got my hopes up for a Dutch ship, and it must be! A ingame nation deserves a ship of it's own nation or 2 (a frigate and a ship of the line). As i read the "De zeven provincien" is very very sadly not going to be included, because of her age, dispite she going to fit very wel into the game! But as Steelsandwich and others are showing, there are a lot of other Dutch ship's that wil go well. I'm still voting for our beloved Flagship De Zeven Provinicien!
  6. I would really like to see more keybinds to the default F5 key (stop reloading). As is now you must aim with the mouse to port, starboard, stern & bow side and press F5 to stop reloading and manage the crew to other guns. It would be a lot easier to just press a button (F5 Stern) (F6 port) (F7 starboard) (F8 bow) to manage gun crew and keep a better insight to manouvering your ship, instead of aiming all over place with your mouse? As always with a big please ofcourse and my thanks in advance.
  7. I like the idea of giving the battle sails more function when a fire mechanic is already added to the game and it has a dedicated keyboard key binding to it, now it seems only a use to reduce ship speed or keep at low speed at the moment. And like the OP said the idea to reduce sail crew needed when sails are not beeing used seems a big compliment to the crew management during battle. Crew and material management should be more decisive who win's or loses a battle/duel, in my humble opinion. I'll give these idea's most definetly a upvote.
  8. No, of course i didn't buy all the key's of my clan, i own just one, As it is intended to be. I just see it this way, and i'm going to use a simple board game reference here called monopoly (everyone knows monopoly) How would you experience a game of monopoly with friends or family or both, if 1 or more are cheating, exploiting to get an advantage in order to win the game more easily or have more fun? it ruins it for everyone except the exploiter(s) or cheater(s). What i see happening here with naval action is that some players are using a legal exploit by buying multiple accounts for their own use, in order to make it themselves easier to craft, trade and to the end build bigger fleets with better vessels, to conquer Attacking/defending fleets and ports with valuable resources. Now i said legal exploit, because nobody is going to forbid people to buy the game, that is just impossible! but it's none the less an exploit, it's giving that player an unfair advantage on other players who just bought the game to play it like it is intended to play it. and on top off that, the developers as i can see it, are working hard trying to balance/prevent: fast bulk building of ships especially SOL's earn loads of gold in a short amount of time unbalanced trading steamrolling the capturing of ports unbalanced nations (imagine that a nation is 3/10 populated with alternative accounts) and promote: playing as team, clan fair & balanced gameplay in general And with buying multiple accounts for your own use, you just throw that hard work completely overboard and set sail on your own ''balanced'' course. A waste of the developers time if you ask me? But there is one upside to this and that is that Game-Labs have more income. and that going to benefit us all. The most gamers scream murder and fire when it comes down to the ''pay to win'' style of game development, and that is just what this basically is, or more like ''pay to get an advantage'' i would like to see that multiple accounts will become obsolete in future patches, but it will be sure that it comes with cost of other great features. But you are free to do what you do, if you play by the book, this is just mine opinion about the matter.
  9. Have you, maybe, considerd to buy enough key's so you can start a whole clan? Maybe steam can throw in a bulk discount if you buy like a whole bunch of them? Besides that i'm looking forward for the upcoming changes especially the update to unity 5. I've been away for a while and now that i have time, i'm back on naval action again.
  10. I really like the idea of the implementation of various wind strenghts, various ships would be used again and it'more dynamic gameplay. but the chasers should be available for all ships who has the abililty to hoist them up the front deck. As some people suggested, it would be a great idea to remove the 1 or 2 guns from the upperdecks from port and starboard side and place them on the front deck. This would take some time and Guncrew and the loss of 1 or 2 guns on the sides of the ship ofcourse, how much time and crew that is a matter of balance. And siphon the crew from guncrew into survival or repair slot? But i am against a total removal of chasers. I don't know where this strange idea comes from in the first place? I hope it is not coming from people who are getting kept in battle because of the chasers keeping them there, thats where they are designed for.
  11. I Voted other - imo, Surrender means you are giving it up without a fight! So if he surrenders, his ship (no durabilty's lost), upgrades, crew (gives you crew replenishment), repair kits and resources are all yours now! No extra XP or gold, the price is yours. Take it or sell it? I don't know if this is going to be balance problem? But; • It encourages fighting until the end. • it gives you a fair reward if he surrenders. • surrendering would be rare, as you basically giving it all away towards the enemy. And remember fight until the bitter end, surrendering is for cowards
  12. I sunk only 3 times in early acces due to computer crash while in mission in my basic cutter, but i i didn't noticed any upgrade where lost that where in that upgrade area. But i'm sure Upgrades on your ship wil be lost with sinking with only 1 durabilty!
  13. I'm that guy that do missions hops. The reason for this is Simple, like the OP said, i work the whole week mon-fri (i think the most of us do) and most weekends and they are long shifts. So i have a 2, 3 or 4 hour window to play a game depends on things i'll have to do at home. Now when i play i must do it as efficient as possible, and this is how i do it! (I like crafting so it's based upon this) As of today; I start the game, i try to use all my labour hours, i always start in my crafting port [(^^) craft xp/ (^) craft level / (v)] Then when i used up all my labour hours or resources, i set up 2 admiralty missions and sail towards them [(vv) time) If i catch a trader while on my way towards my mission(s) i'll take the oppertunity to catch them [(vv) time / (^) gold (^) xp a little bit (^^) resources] Most of the time i have to sail back with captured resources with trader to my crafting port [(vv) time] Switch back to my battle ship and sail back to my mission(s) [(vv) time] Catching traders get the highest priority for me as a crafter so if i see one, the same as above. If i don't catch any traders, sail towards my mission(s) [(vv) time] And doing the mission(s) [(vv) time / (^^) xp (^^) gold] Then i must gather resources to craft when i can't catch them with capturing traders [(vvv) time (vvv) gold] And when i'm going PvP it takes a lot of time to get me to the PvP area (1,5 hour sailing) and when i'm there i need searh a Enemy PvP fleet to battle with could be 15 min but it could also be 1,5 to 2 hours, by that time i must log off. So no xp no gold and a lot time lost. What i'm trying to say here is the current way to earn XP is fine by me and i think alot others who have not much time and want to rank up, its not fast and not slow. But the PvE missions are getting a bit dull, PvP is much more fun. So max 3 missions a time is fine by me, it gives me the oppertunity to rank up a bit to sail those 3rd rates properly in PB.
  14. This upgrades area you can store upgrades and take them with u everywhere you go. So what i do is when i dock a ship at a harbour with good regular upgrades like a mastercraft powder monkeys for an example, and i'm going to sail a another ship in a diffrent harbour (outpost teleport), i put the regular upgrades in that area and when i teleported to another outpost i can put those upgrades to that other ship. You always take them with you, it's got not many slots but it is very useful.
  15. I prefer this paintscheme aswel, but i prefer more (realistic!!) paintscheme options for all ships aswel. To ad a bit more diversity to the ships in NA.
  16. Very simple, Example; There isn't a official guide hoe to do things in this game, new player comes and looks for a ship, i say "i can craft one for you" for a cheaper price the they are selling at the capital. Make a agreement that he delivers resources + fee upfront and after it's delivered i wil craft the ship. He delivers the resources/materials + fee, and i say oke wil craft the ship. "I wil craft the ship" and i don't, why because i will not be punished for it, so i could do it over and over again even if there made a verbal agreement in PM's wich could used as evidence to investigate. Exploiting a good mechanic like trading, with bad intentions (scamming). Sure i agree that people are not wise to do that in this way, but still a basterd move imo, wich should be punished like stealing traders while ramming wich is also misusing a good mechanic for bad intentions. It only causes people to grief or leaving the game, needless and preventable if this is getting picked up in tribunal cases. And stil like Henry d'Esterre Darby Said, "Do Not Pay Upfront!!!" Until this gets picked up in Tribunal cases as a crime.
  17. Thats fair enough, but i'm sure people are going to exploit this when it's allowed! Imo, it must be against the rules, it is usually people from your own nation who do this, and you can't do anything against it (green on green for a example). So it leaves him with nothing then distrust and grief, and potential bad player behavior because of that. And if whe are going to talk "in the age of sail" i'm sure with the proper provided evidence, you would facing the gallows of stealing resources/materials for crafting a ship of that magnitude. It only encourage, toxic and bad player behavior. And imo it should be picked up into tribunal cases! And if the devs have not enough time (wich sound very logical to me), maybe they should hire Judges, instead of more forum moderators in the future? And henry desterre darby is right "Do not pay up front". until these things are going to be picked up her in tribunal. But the OP has learned it the hard way, it's a pity that whe have those players playing naval action. But thats life in a hold full of fresh coconuts you always have a couple rotten ones.
  18. Sorry i had to do this, but you are pretty stubborn here. Working with bigger clans would give you more benifit.
  19. Nice quote, But there are always people who try to piss against the wind. It's easy for me to say i know, but i would accept the agreement.
  20. Great idea! I voted beat to quarters, but personally i prefer shouting "SAIL'S!!" And a whistle, From the lookout in the crows nest or main mast.
  21. Now this is a clear case of toxic behaviour imo? And unneccesairy!
