I must be an idiot then lol. I won't run from a fair fight just to cry to my buddies to win it for me.

Should be a concentrated effort to remove there ports from the game lol.

Carefull around these guys, they tend to run from one on one fights then chase you down with 3 or 4 ships.

Tried taking the fight to the pirates but the cowardly dog ran and got 3 of his clan mates to hunt me down.

From what I seen/heard here there is no plans and many consider the control scheme to complicated for consoles.

No problem, auto correct on my phone gives me fits when posting sometimes. I usually have a lot of typing/ spelling errors it's crazy.

Going to play devils advocate with you prater. How long did it take for you to be good enough with fighting to be able to do that. I'm not the best player and I'm no where near what you get in small battles. Give me a couple weeks and I'm sure I'll be fine. How many are willing to say that? Also consider there is no in game tutorial, so unless players ask or look it up it can be rather difficult. Even asking can get you an interesting selection of answers that are not always correct. I feel an issue with the long time testers is some may have forgotten how daunting this can be for new players who have not been doing this for months on end already.

The camera in OW kills any fun I have with sailing, map not showing position is a non issue.

I agree with OP, the change from sea to port is a pretty stark contrast and really hurts immersion. I imagine it will be raised by many over the next several days as EA opens. I'm sure OP is not asking for menu changes or anything, something as simple as an era appropriate picture would likely suffice.

I doubt we would be that fortunate, could really tick off some of the veteran testers. For myself it would be nice, given no alternative to PayPal was offered, but I realize the potential problems it could cause having seen them before. Now if they offered something different but unique( for the original alpha guys as well) for the EA guys that would be nice.

Some are unable to earn their wins, it will catch up to them when they face real players.

Will be using my XBL account name in the unlikely event I see someone here who would recognize me. Been trying to heavily promote the game to those I know who have PC's that can run it.

How would an individual's graphic setting impact this, if someone is running at a lower detail setting would it make it harder to see damage?

Would be nice if there was a way I could purchase and download the game on my PC while I'm at work.

Not sure which group to try and join. I have no experience in game, my playtime is limited to 1-2 hours most days in the Eastren time zone evenings 8:30 -10:30 pm give or take. My biggest drawback is I can't voice chat or hear very well. My reflexes are a tad slow as well. Would like to stay American so I can hunt down British. I know I've also been abrasive at times here on the forum, but I can actually be a nice guy. Well sometimes lol. So anyone have any clan suggestions other than as a target for a pirate clan to practice on?

Any idea if this could possibly work on the upcoming steam machine? There is currently a debate between getting a steam machine( wife just heard about them) and a gaming PC now.
