  1. Are those carronades or regular-length cannons?
  2. Christiansborg and Prinds Christian Frederik didn't have much luck, did they?
  3. Victory, Santisima Trinidad, Pavel (aka Saint Paul), Bellona, and the generic 74 are ingame. Ingermanland's also ingame, but not available to the public yet. Commerce de Marseille and Bucentaure are known to be in development, and there are also some ones that we don't know about.
  4. You got that right. That's a good-looking ship, Malachi.
  5. Venus is leading de Ruyter. Wow. I'm not sure where the surge in votes came from, but I'm not complaining.
  6. Whoa, what the hell? Where'd all these votes for Venus come from? She's tied for 2nd place with Admiraal de Ruyter.
  7. Well, Vrijiheid's made it up to 11 votes. That's nice.
  8. Well, I suppose one upside will be that if people start bitching soon about there not being enough diversity in ship designs, we can be like "Hey, almost 50 of you guys voted for another 80-gunner when you could've had one of a bunch of other options, so it ain't our (or the devs') fault."
  9. I don't see why you'd get banned for using it, if it only edits visual effects.
  10. @Commodore Wesley: Dude, Admiraal de Ruyter is currently sitting pretty on 43 votes, while Vrijiheid has all of 8. Even ugly Dordrecht has done better. I'd say we've lost.
  11. Honestly, I hope Christian VII gets chosen as the wild card, if she doesn't win (and it doesn't look like she will, at this rate). This is what, the third vote she's come up short in? IIRC she was a serious contender in last year's poll and lost, and then it seemed to me that she and Bucentaure were both popular choices in that "Ship request-2nd Rate" thread, and she apparently lost to Bucentaure. If you ask me, it's time she got selected to be in-game.
  12. Yeah, Diana's running away with the non-SoL half of the vote. Which is fine, IMO. We're short on Spanish ships, and a 32 might be a good addition to the lineup.
  13. Well, it looks like Diana and Admiraal de Ruyter are racing each other to the top, and most of the others have already lost. Christian VII might still have a chance, though.
  14. Fair enough. Christiansborg's certainly pretty. It's a pity no-one's voted for her yet.
  15. They really do look similar (to my eyes, at least). I'm not going to disagree with you there. That being said, I'm not really campaigning for Vrijiheid so much as against Admiraal de Ruyter. I didn't even vote for Vrijiheid at first, even though she was my proposal. I voted for Prinds Christian Frederik, but since nobody else had done so, I figured that there wasn't a point in wasting a vote on a ship that looked like it wasn't going to be a competitor. And I'm not even trying to argue with people; I'm just trying to point out that to me, it seems like the 80-gun ship category has gotten enough attention for a while, and that maybe we could use other ships more.
  16. No, I don't think it can. Bellona's been around for ages, and the third rate's just generic, and possibly even just a temporary placeholder. So, if we ignore the third rate, Bellona's the only 74 we've got, which, IMO, means that we could do with more. As for 80-gunners, however, Pavel was introduced fairly recently, Bucentaure's still in development, and you want yet another one? If you ask me, Admiraal de Ruyter's right up there with that Mars brig (that nobody's voted for, by the way) in the "ships that we don't need right now" category.
  17. Wow, my Vrijiheid made it in! But the choice between her, Prinds Christian Frederik, and Christian VII... Also, why are people voting for Admiraal de Ruyter? I mean, she's not a bad ship, but just remember that we've got one 80-gunner in game (Pavel) and another one in development (Bucentaure). It seems kinda unnecessary, in my humble opinion, for a third one to be added at this time.
  18. Those ugly bows, yeah. As soon as I see them, I'm like "Nope, not for me". :lol
  19. That's looking really good, Malachi. I like it.
  20. Darn, it didn't occur to me to think of datamining as a source of some of this kind of info. Okay, cool. As for Kepler, that was the one name that was familiar to me. It was listed here (whether as a tease or by mistake, I don't know): http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/7706-naval-action-ship-sizes-and-dimensions/ Note the "Project von Kepler" entry. I dunno, maybe someone can take a guess at what she is based on her dimensions. I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, but she looks to be about as big as a Bellona, though not as tall from keel to top deck. Could she be a razee?
  21. That reminds me, isn't this bit of that wiki page basically speculation? Because I thought the role of a wiki was to provide fact.
