  1. Old but my personal build of: Intel Core2Quad 2.67 GHz (easily overclocks on my Abit mobo to 3.2 GHz) Nvidia GTX 650 8Gb ram 2 terabytes HD NA runs smooth as silk on medium settings at 1280x1024
  2. I am an avid supporter of Elite: Dangerous, Star Citizen and am now enjoying Naval Action very much... Life is far more about the journey than the destination, so I will enjoy playing them all... True the crowd-funding model has its pitfalls: Elite Dangerous will no longer have an offline single player mode even though this was an original funding goal, and Godus saw the media virtually destroy a great visionary... But it is really the desire to play these games that matters, not that one always gets what one wants. I was/am a Founder Backer for Mechwarror Online, I do not play it very often now that it is 'complete', because the intended campaign style of the aborted Mechwarrior (5) was never incorporated in MWO although this was a possible pathway at pre-alpha; in essence MWO is just a team match-up combat arena currently, and now will never be anything more, does this make me feel cheated or angry? No, ....true I put a considerable amount of money into the crowd-funding phase of game development with an end result in mind, but I knew it was a gamble as to whether that was achievable, but had I and others not accepted that risk MWO would not exist at all.
  3. Quite a departure from Naval Action, but since the topic has been raised I will contribute my part to it:-) I have played all official releases of the series: Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, Homeworld 2 and the remastered versions of 1 & 2 (the Collector's edition of which is Superb). Historically these were single player, but a beta multiplayer client is being released with the Steam Remastered edition. Homeworld: Shipbreakers was originally an independent and partially crowd-funded project called Hardware: Shipbreakers developed by Blackbird Interactive (excellent team of ex-homeworld/ex-relic developers). Gearbox saw the potential of Shipbreakers and its obvious links to Homeworld backstory (see the intro movie for Homeworld showing the history of the guide stone), and 'adopted' it, giving Blackbird access to Homeworld IP to create an official (land-based) prequel to Homeworld :-)
