This idea might work in the future but as stands there are some nations with literally bugger all players. (Poland) They would just get stomped by player numbers.

I miss the old days where you could cap the towers in old PB's via boarding. Just a thought to implement this sort of ground assault feeling the OP was looking for. Add a landing zone near towers, and forts that allow you to "board" (assault) the fortifications and attempt to take them through force of manpower. That will give you the use of marines as they were intended. Also yes i'm suggesting allowing players to be able to capture and use the forts/towers and or leave crew on them (the marines) to turn the guns on the enemy. PS I like mortars, I don't like how we pretty much have to use them in most PB's

It would be good to see some sort of action a Clan must take weekly or some such to keep a port from going neutral. Lots of ports in the game are owned by clans that never use them, or owned by dead clans.

I've done the Exams twice. Both time in different ways because the AI reacted differently. (Especially in boarding) In the final exam, chaining one down and fighting the other is the best start tip I can give you. Fight one enemy at a time.- 22 replies

Reduce mission reward from capitals massively. Increase mission rewards from other ports to similar level of loot as OW. Maybe have a national mission "daily hotspot" IE a port that if you take missions from will grant you a extra big reward for every mission done that day. This hotspot should be seen from the mission tab at any port and should change randomly everyday between nation own ports. Rewards could be 1.5x XP and 2x/4x cash mission cash reward for completion of each.

Just split hostility and combat missions apart. Make missions from cap zones always spawn in the cap zone. Half or quater the reward for these missions. That'll protect the new player abit. Make missions from non safe zone ports have better rewards. Make them drop the same loot as ow Ai. That will draw people out of cap zones.

I still think it should be based off of a deeper moral system. A demoralised ship regardless of the crew wouldn't be determined defenders. Kill the moral like the Surprise demasting the Acheron (a much bigger vessel) then board the buggers. Already suggested idea revolving this before in the determined defender feedback but the threat was locked.

Yeah this is a hello kittying great patch. As for PVE missions please code a feature to warn players in big red pop up text when there leaving the safe zone. This will allow new players complete transparency and reduce unecessary seal clubbing that causes the new guys to leave the game. Message should read. You are leaving the safe zone. If attacked you will no longer be able to call in local reinforcements. Leave at your own risk. Seal clubbings bad.

I missed most of sorrys shenanigans as the game was stale at LV's turn to pirate so I had a break just like all of Kot0 But from what I remember arrogance flowed from the demon and it pissed a lot of people off. #notimeforthat

It can be more than one thing? Everyone watches loading screens every day. The possibilities are endless. I understand what you mean and i'm suggesting that the terms are explained. Which aka is helpful and extends peoples knowledge of a topic while they play and use the knowledge. Some games use loading screens to teach players setting, history and use quotes to inspire. There is no reason the game cant contain all of these things, Tutorial tips, hints, cool pictures that help people learn, interesting extended knowledge like naval terms. Wouldn't you find it interesting to read something different every time that's aimed towards all different levels of expertise and players from beginners to seasoned vets. Text in terms of data is nothing. There's no reason why the loading screen couldn't call on thousands of sentences/statements. -

Should also have a image attached showing the stern going through the wind I think there incredibly useful. Once this game contains multiple languages terms like that should be displayed in different languages. -

I agree but some simple diagrams might help Displaying simple shit. Like downwind, upwind, different names for sailing angles. Close haul, Beam reach etc etc. Maybe dropping in Tips for other sailing terms would be good. For example "Passing ones stern through the Wind is considered the art of Jibing" -
