  1. I have been away for a few weeks, god bless. And all that i have missed is yet another pissing contest. I miss the days before EA where it was less serious and more gaming and entertaining. All this drama and mud slinging, i really dont like it. The community used to be so much more mature. Eventually for me personally i dont care much about dimplomacy anymore, stopped doing it, simply because its in people's nature to showoff and compare manhoods. What happens here saddens me as a Dutch player, we came from an underdog position and now we are throwing it away in a heartbeat. I suppose it would help the Dutch nation to get this fixed before the alliances patch hits and we wont be fighting civil wars all the time and just enjoy the game as it is meant to be. even though i am in a clan, this is my personal opinion regardless of my clan tag. I like everyone, except pirates:) Konali

    The Dutch government has decided to support all affected areas with governmentsupport. All fishermenfamilies will receive extra rations including monetary support in the upcomming days and weeks.

  5. I hunt shipwrecks I am addicted:) I fully understand where you are comming from, i just want to point out , that when you reach lvl 50 crafting, alot of the modules can be made by yourself. So if i do find a module in a shipwreck i like it much more that it has some decent quality otherwise i am just better of with crafting and leaving the shipwrecks for what they are. Perhaps 25% and the remaining 25% would be labour contracts?

  7. I like what i see. Like the guy above me pointed out, i have some concerns about the well known screening fleets. I think this pb system will work or fail depending on how the role of the screening fleets will be. Because at first it will be fun , but if it is known that in 48 hours there will be a port battle, i would expect a massive screening fleet. this can be good and bad, i am just concerned and worried about it's role. I fully believe that port battles should be unique and maybe it will work out fine in the end:) Some questions/small ideas: - When an assault fleet is ready/ finished and ready to be launched, will it be known for every nation? Is it maybe an idea that it will sail on the OW but cannot be attacked but only spotted. The sooner it gets spotted the more time defenders have to organise stuff. If the assault fleet does not gets spotted by a player on the open sea and it reaches its destination, maybe the defenders will get the intel 12 hours in advance of the PB. I just like the idea we can spot the assault fleets and depending on that matter influence the announcement of an upcomming PB.
  8. I did not see anything like Port battle reworks. I think it is under the "test land in port battles", i am really looking forward to the fortresses:)
  9. I just found out that you cannot send blueprints to the clan warehouse. Maybe it should be the case So yeah, nothing big, just something i found out a minute ago.
  10. It would create more physicall traders filled with goodies who does not want such a thing:) But in all honestly i am mixed, i understand it can be repetitive and thefore boring. But every time you leave port and set sail to your destination , you are on an adventure;)
  11. This might be completely off topic but i would like to see crew being related to exploration. Part of the Naval Action Experience. I think it would be interesting to see crew having different kinds of characteristics based on the origin. Both positive and negative effects. In order to achieve this you would have different kind of crew types that you could hire in different parts of the open world. It could be based on your reputation as a captain with that certain area of origin. Let's say you would sail to the coast of North America and you would that way gain reputation and unlock that certain crew type with different characteristics than crew from Cuba for example. It is very rudemental and a basic thought but i think you could add somekind of a stimulation to go explore a bit and maintain your standings with that civilzation and inherent crew type. Offcourse very optional and it would not have significantly better or worse things that perhaps crew of your own origin. But you could think of characteristics like uhm, moral, strenght, leadership, carpenter/woodworker skills etc etc. Now i ramble on and as i started with it might be completely off topic, but it is just something i think would be interesting and if fully optional i think would create some immersion aswell.
  12. I have to admit, i am dissapointed to see you went for a "no life time strategy" . Players where affraid for micro management, but then again it would have made boarding players so much more unique. Board to survive, buy to survive. One of the goals of this game was to make us captains feel we are in that age of sails again. I feel with this iteration of this feature you are missing the boat sorta say , as food was crucial back then and now it has been made dull by the looks of it. I will offcourse test it fully and enjoy it, but it is far from what i expected.
  13. Player "alts" admitting they are used for spying or anything in that relation to it can be reported with the report function. It is pretty common sense that the nation chats are not safe to discuss war plans and such.
  14. The goal of this game in development always has seemed to be " Experience the Age of Sail feeling/ era". Crew is essential to that. Playing a sailing game just comes with crew simple as that in my eyes. I like the proposed things and i think it would make sailing a 1 dura SOL more risky and they will become powerhouses when its really needed. Nice.
  15. This sounds amazing:) At first you stated, you can raid at any time, but i suppose this is only against nations you are at war with right. And war would be declared by the top 50 estate holders ( see politics post). War should have an ecomomical and territorial element to it, slightly off topic here but since any nation currently can survive with 4 different port producing types, what is keeping the pubbies from moving away from their capital. Maybe production buildings should have some advantages near front lines in regards to supplying for the war. Love the read, nice work guys.
  16. I like where this is going, and like with everything else, it can be build upon. In the next few days many good questions will be asked. I myself have just one simple question, the title says "part 1". Does this mean we will see more information about this political system in the near future?
  17. try a Le Gros Ventre. It has cannons + massive cargo hold capacity. ( Strake sniped me ) - these LGV are available in stores aswell.

    Blue prints are not shared between servers for as far i am aware of. So it must be you not being lucky i would say.
  19. all i can add to this is: At a certain point i saw a teammate ( Tarz) loosing sail percentage. The cannonfire came from the back, from this pirate on the dutch side. Offcourse it could be a mistake, but not soon after Hugo was being shot at with chain. And before claims are being made that this was an accident, let me try to establish the situation. Hugo in the lead with closely behind him tarz. The enemy atleast 1000 yards further ( couldnt see names above ships). And then hugo gets hit with chain. Chain has a limited range and therefore highly unlikely the ammo type of choice for that moment, so most likely an intentional move to try damage friendlies. Either way, it is unsportsmanlike and im not saying we should demand hard measures, but let's face it, everyone hates teamkillers or damagers in any game:)
