  1. We are not people we are testers so we incur a certain responsibility to be plugged into the process of development. If you chose not to then it is at your own detriment. One the game is fully released yes the developers have that responsibility as well as many more. COST is big factor this game is in early access and is a small developer house currently. Nothing about how the servers work should be taken as a indicator as to how the final product will work. Their smart guys im sure they know this current server setup isn't good but its working for now. yea and I dont know about you but im not exactly excited about session changes taking place even with cool graphical effects in between when sailing about the open world. Im sure their are options out there the devs will look into that serve NA's needs Dude take a breath .... I agree the current server issue sucks but as I have said relax give time its early in the ball game and everyone is worried cuz we arent playing a finished final product. Its peoples attitudes about early access games like this is why more and more company's arent willing to release product early.
  2. don't take me wrong I'm not anti pirate we need bad guys and good guys to make it fun i'm just wanting it a little more ... idk not so obvious. but as a balance to the added stealth of it you have to counter with some other reduction and i was thinking access to limited safe ports possibly. Honestly i'm sure what the best option is but im sure the devs have some great ideas planed as well as the player base speaking up. I just don't want fraking Jack Sparrow all over the map ya know.
  3. I like your ideas and thoughts as to the idea that pirate or other not so law abiding captains wernt so easily picked out for what they were. I agree that except for a few small exceptions of very rare occurrence pirate towns werent all over the place like 7-11's. More commonly were small towns that just honestly either looked the other way for a few coins, desperate for commerce or didn't have the necessary force to deter so in reality didn't have much of a choice but allow docking and interaction to take place. Also as I understand it not often did pirates go about sailing with a giant flag waving saying lookie here i'm a pirate chillin da most. But I also understand some concessions have to be made for the sake of game play and balance. Not sure what the real answer is but the PotBS model is definitely IMHO not it.

  5. “Our cruel and unrelenting Enemy leaves us no choice but a brave resistance, or the most abject submission; this is all we can expect - We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die: Our own Country's Honor, all call upon us for a vigorous and manly exertion, and if we now shamefully fail, we shall become infamous to the whole world. Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the Cause, and the aid of the supreme Being, in whose hands Victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble Actions - The Eyes of all our Countrymen are now upon us, and we shall have their blessings, and praises, if happily we are the instruments of saving them from the Tyranny meditated against them. Let us therefore animate and encourage each other, and shew the whole world, that a Freeman contending for Liberty on his own ground is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth.” ― George Washington
  6. Good day to you sir and fellow free man. I am Paxton Brimstone of South Carolina and proudly serving in The Decatur Armada an American fleet with a rich history and future. “Nevertheless, to the persecution and tyranny of his cruel ministry we will not tamely submit -- appealing to Heaven for the justice of our cause, we determine to die or be free.” ― Joseph Warren

  8. We have a winner !!! yes St Elmo's Fire a natural scientific proven phenomena that happened and was documented in several places and climates in naval history. There was much much superstition attached to this sight by sailors some considered it a ill omen some believed it was lights of angels and proof that the almighty was looking after them.
  9. It would be cool if this natural phenomenon would occur sometimes.
  10. I don't feel I need it but I it certainly wouldn't be unwelcome either.
