  1. Throughout my time in Naval Action, i have gotten lost several times.

    First time;
    Open World had just launched, i spawned in as a Frenchie with @Ellis. As there was no map i hopped onto google maps, found the island i believed we had spawned at and tried to figure out which way we had to go, to get to our destination; Plymouth.
    We came up with an angle we had to go at and set sail, after sailing for a little while we could not see land... We felt lost and decided to try and go straight back to the island we came from.
    We reached our original starting point and decided that instead of going straight for Plymouth, we would go from Island to Island and to always keep land in sight.
    Eventually we reached Plymouth and the feeling of successfully navigating without a map was just awesome.

    Seconds story;
    At one point we were informed that there, supposedly, was a "hidden island" somewhere on the map. Stupid as i am, i wanted to find it! Some of my clanmates claimed to have been there but none would give me information as to where it was. I looked at tons of maps online to (New and old) to see if there maybe was an island that was not marked on the ingame map. No luck.
    Oh well, i looked at the ingame map and tried to come up with a few spots where the "hidden island" might be. (In the Gulf, East of Florida,  East of the lesser antilles, South-east of Jamaica, etc.)
    I spent something like 36 hours sailing around in the open ocean, getting lost several times because i had a tendency to change course when the wind got bad. Eventually i gave up, i was certain that there was no goddamn hidden island.
    A few days, maybe even a week, after i gave up my search i had to go to Bermuda for some reason. I went in a Santissima but i don't recall why. This was the first i had to go to Bermuda so i sailed my Santissima around the Bahamas, then calculated a heading and set sail. This time i also kept changing course and after about 90 minutes, i spotted land.
    On Teamspeak i went; "WUUUUUH I SEE LAND! I FINALLY REACHED BERMUDA!!!".
    I sailed straight for the island, looked at it and went; "Wait, this doesn't look like bermuda, the island has the wrong shape i think". (Compared to what it looked like on the map).
    I sailed around the West side of the island to get to the north side where i was certain the 3 Bermuda Ports were supposed to be. Sure enough, no ports.
    I kept going around the Island till i found a port and the guys on teamspeak must have been deaf for a week after my; "OMFG ITS KIDDS ISLAND GUYS!!! I FOUND THE HIDDEN ISLAND!!! OMFG OMFG OMFG! WUHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!".
    Such a happy captain i was, i found what i had spent so much time looking for. And by accident nonetheless... It felt awesome.

    Nonetheless, i don't think giving new players "Tow To Port" will be a bad thing @admin. They can still get lost, but at the very least they can get back to port quickly to try again.

    @TommyShelby Maybe you can help me out here?  Why devs made the current meta even stronger?  Why exactly the current meta?  Tell me there is nothing weird in this?  Was there a conversation at testing forum about this?  Why would devs do something like this?

    I honestly have not played enough with the latest changes to know the "meta".

    Currently;
    Demasting is very easy if you have decent aim and know at which range you can penetrate the different sections. (But at the same time, i see many people shooting masts for very long time, not being able to demast.)
    Shooting Hull is super easy with new thickness values, and so destroying the Hull is super easy.

    So in my opinion, it is hard to tell. But as i said i have only had limited time to test the new stuff. (I would say Mast HP deserves to be slightly buffed though.)

    Wait... these trim bonuses are random?!?!

    What happened to regional bonuses? Talk about a wasted opportunity to bring meaning to RvR...

    We will need a lot more Data before we can actually say whether or not it is completely random. Maybe they are still regional based, but with a percentage chance of getting one. Or maybe they are just 100% random.
    Maybe wood types play a role as to which trim your ship might get. Etc etc.

    So basically; We don't know. There are many variables that may, or may not, play a role in this. To get closer to the answer, we will need to gather enough data that we can start analyzing it.

    Too many secrets around, can you please explain the new mechanics of this RNG ship types. Purple is legendary and what happens if purple, what is the rarest type, and many other questions.

    Ships and modules used to be "Color Coded".

    From what i can tell, we are back to "color coding". (Grey = Basic, Green = Common, Blue = Uncommon, Purple = Rare, Yellow/Gold = Super Rare).
    Perm slots, and "Special" Trims being the deciding factors as to which color your ship gets.

    @Mr Pellew why is it purple?

    PS, Liq, you know what this means right? You gotta craft tons of Pavels untill you get me a Yellow/Gold Pavel!!! ;)

  6. Added to list;

    Redoutable Refit (Barricade Melee 0.2 and Barricade Firepower 0.2)
    Heavy Rig (Mast Thickness 10%)
    French Refit Bonus (Max speed 1%, Cannon Reload 2,5%, Cannon Dispersion 10%)

    Dont get confused by percentage values, i will add a column called "Negative" if i find any "Special" Trims that provide a negative bonus so to speak. (So, Cannon Reload 2.5% means 2.5% faster reload.)
