OK, I think this has been mentioned before, but it seems to have become worse now.
Spotted a Navy brig and hailed it. Hail showed one brig sailing alone.
Attacked in my Mercury and entered battle.
Brig was there all right but so were eight other enemy ships.
Had to use my Armageddon procedure (as in Armageddon outa here!)
Got away, but only just.
Is this part of the gameplay or is something wrong? Bit of a waste of time really.
Had this happen to me twice last night.

I would love to see the English Channel, North Sea, and Western Approach's (Bay of Biscay).
If the dev's want to create a slightly map than the Caribbean, they could do one map containing the English Channel, North Sea, Western Approach's (Bay of Biscay), and Mediterranean.

En route i came across a spanish Trader Brig and Privateer,so i close and initiate Combat.The timer counts down we go to the "loading screen" next thing i am entering Port.......NO battle instance!WTF!

Im sure there have been about a million topics like this, and i wouldnt ask if i could find an answer. The latest blog post is from march and after watching some youtube playthroughs I cant wait to get started.
Besides the obvious in the title, I have a few additional questions.
1. Is it possible to edit the rake of a ships mast and the displacement of cargo for better speed?
2. Is it possible to swap out guns and other armaments on existing ships? I think turning the Constitution into a Glatton would be interesting.
3. Are there going to be special edits one can perform in order to carry more sail, such as rigging hawsers to the mastheads in order to take additional strain?
4. Are studdingsails, bonnets and drabblers riggable? I havent seen any in any videos ive watched,

4.No,not yet but they will make the game eventually.
