  1. I think some people do have some very unrealistic expectations for this game, it's still a very small team after all with limited assets. I'm also of the belief that 100% realism is just not that fun, I remember from my world of tanks days how so many people wished the game would be more realistic. They eventually got their wish when War Thunder ground forces released a lot of them went, wow this sucks, I hate this, I just die in 1 hit.   2. I have become extraordinarily jaded towards any and all promises of 'realism' and 'historical accuracy' from any game that promises it. We might ask for things, but ultimately, the only way to get something is to do it yourself - hence, I think, the continued insistence on mod support. If they won't give us realistic parameters, we'll just have to make them ourselves.

  3. Ye, mods are the best hope i guess for any other things the devs didn't cover (too be honest hard to cover literally everything but still). We will need editable obj and fbx files plus cgl and xml as well and whatever file formats so peeps can changes stats, figures, even do overhauls and the ability to add models and effects in as well. So people can tailor make the game a bit more to their pleasing like any of the fallout games for example.

  4. IJN Hitachi is now taking better shape, which is nice. Here is roughly 6 images below. Ill post stats of her later on today as well. Thought i do some proper modelling on her rather than little bits and pieces ill resume uv-mapping and texturing ORP Jadwiga tommorrow and thursday.

  8. Ok I really hope when camos are added to the game I hope we can add logos and such on the decks like with Bismarck. Now I know in real life the reason they did this so aircraft won't get confused and attack they're own ships. The Italians are the best example of this they're red and white stripe decks.

  9. I have been following the progress of this game for a while now. It mostly looks amazing but there have been two issues that have kept me from buying it. First issue was the high top speeds that could be achieved without really compromising anything else in a ship design. I'm no longer that worried about this as the achievable and practical top speeds have been toned down in couple updates. They still seem to be higher than what was historically common but maybe the requirements of campaign mode will address that. --- The second, and more significant, issue is the extreme prominence

  10. This right here is what everyone needs to understand. This is a very small team working on something big and fact is what they have so far is amazing considering how small the team is. As for realism, it's good to a degree. Like Bluishdoor76 said War Thunder did it and look what happened. People bloody hated it. So light ships such as DDs and CLs so be tough enough that they can take a few hits such as over-pens but not like how in WOWs they take them and they're completely fine. As for the limitations on ship designs, they have to get rid of that soon. It is literally the biggest thing going

  12. So far i wish to share this design whilst I work on my next project the Norwegian coastal battleship Nøkken. This one was done as a request to make a Ukranian version of Hms Agincourt, whilst aiming for it to be better than both the Agincourt and the main competition Gangut.   18. 1060 3Gb is a horrible card. 3GB of Vram is barely enough to run recentish games on Low to Medium settings and would severly drop in FPS in UAD in big Naval battles(the more happens on screen the more Vram it takes). he can better save up a little more and go for the 1060 6GB variant. which besides running this game on ultra will still be enough for most future titles a couple of years down the line. Vram is really one of the most important factors in GPU nowadays

  21. Recently made this beauty, I based her off early WW1 German Battlecruisers. As its my first large build its not as accurate as I wanted it to be but I'm happy I got this turret configuration to work as its a tad bit strange.

  22. well, theres a couple of things you could do. i know UAD is expensive for an alpha release, why dont you save that money towards an upgrade for your pc? on ebay you can buy new a ryzen 3 cpu and mobo bundle for £150ish thats really not expensive and although the lower end ryzen 3 cpus arent fantastic, itll be better than that ancient i7 your running i would of thought. bear in mind though that i dont know what the game utilises the most i.e is it cpu heavy or gfx card heavy. if you did decide to go for a ryzen bundle and keep that gfx card of yours then the cpu will be bottlenecked due t

  25. It did not last long for exploiting / breach the flag mechanics. I as remember, this mechanic, as well as Transport to PB, was added to allow small nations to have RVR capabilities, even if big populations may want to deny it. Yesterday, Atwoods was attacked by at least 3 (maybe 4) flag holders, from 4 different clans at the same time, so that Danemark, whose player base is half the one of pirates could simply not defend. We sunk one or two flag holders, but some would always remain. I saw some 40/50 enemy first rates out of the port. Big nations found the breach. Congrats.
