  2. If this doesn't make sense allow me: the Scharnhorst class had 3x11in gun turrets. These were planned to be replaced with the 2x15in gun turrets which would be used on Bismark and Tirpitz. Same turret ring size. Try doing this ingame. Yeah... why this is a necesary alteration should be self explanatory. So turrets should go Barbette ring>gun caliber>barrel number. Too many barrels in too small a turret? Accuracy and RoF penalties. Length of the guns should also be taken into consideration, not just the bore diameter.

  3. Soooo destroyers in the game are currently in a weird place. This place balance wise isn't even a bad place, it makes them quiet strong actually. This place is called Torpedo hell. They exist for the soul purpose of slinging torpedo's and hiding in smoke. This actually makes them probably even deadlier than a BB per pound but its not what DDs were made for. Id like to know if the general UL:A community agrees with me. What ive found is a few things, First Destroyers practically never hit or damage anything at all with their guns, even other DDs. Secondly torpedos are faaaar too reliable

  4. Currently, destroyers don't die easily enough when hit with 6-8" shells. But at the same time, they become crippled way too easily from 4-5" shells.

  5. Oh, I don't know how about others but the launcher seems to be working normally again. Maybe it had something to do with the small update...

  6. Hello guys. First off I want to tell you that I loved your game. I played it for many hours and even led fleets in PVP servers, most fun I had ever. This is definitely one of the best sailing games out there. I even like that non historical factions (like Russia and Prussia and Denmark) found their way to the Caribbean. BUT. I think you guys need to face up to the fact that the original plan that you had: A world where the players lead nations, declare war, run trade and the economy, is pretty much a failure. It was a good effort but it has failed. The reason it failed is pretty

  8. Don't use Indiaman at dangerous routes at European prime time. Much safer is using 4 Trader Lynxes. Those have their best speed upwind and can escape all square rigged ships. Only Requin, Lynxes, Privateers and Princes you have to fear then. Bad thing is you can only transport 2000 cargo then. But 16000 cargo in 4 Fir Fir Indiaman probably undercrewed and without cannons is extremely high risk and will lead to a lot of loss. When you have enough crew for 3 Indiaman, don't craft them in Fir Fir. Use Teak Sabicu or something similar strong. You will lose some speed, but even a fir fir India

  9. Port bonuses was a mistake. Fine Woods 2.0 and 3.0 was another mistake. These new enhanced port bonuse are perhaps the biggest mistake of them all. The fact that a new player who is working on crafting and building ships can only craft basic non-port bonus ships in a capital port amazes me. For that player to craft anything on par or better than what he could redeem with a DLC he/she would need to join a clan or get on a friendslist. This is a mindbogglingly poor decision and probably one of the reasons why new player retention is abysmal. All apsects of crafting are tied to

  10. There are lots of options for solo play. I play solo most of the time on both servers. There are also lots of choices for teamwork, there are various sized groups working together, even from other nations. Some teams are just two players. But I almost always sail alone and my freedom is almost unlimited. Some players have difficulty seeing the opportunities in NA because they expect all ideas and mechanics to be created by the Dev. They miss all of the things to do that the players create themselves. Because the world is open ended, and there are minimal limits on our options, the pl
