  4. I fight what, when and where I choose not you. Fact is I play the game completely different to you and just about everyone else on the server. Poland Solo Player No Alts No DLC ships. No Clan No crafting No Admiralty No expensive mods I'm gifted the odd Prince otherwise everything else is capped. Am I poor in the game, no I gift large amounts in dubs, chests and CMs frequently because I never use them.

  5. The Tricomalee is a really good 5th rate and I really like sailing her (5 knowledge slots open) but she's not really useful in most larger PvP groups, where bigger ships are more wanted. She's great for hunting solo though and can beat a redoutable if you play your game correctly. @admin Please don't be mad at me for writing this, but you are not very good at managing expectations, which causes upsets with the community (or at least large parts of it). Regarding the carrier discussion, I want them in game personally, as designable units for a few reasons. 1 - Aircraft Carriers did not come into their own until the 40's had already started, Taranto, Pearl Harbour and the sinking of the Bismarck were the first real successes they had achieved (and Bismarck was luck along with the German Fire Control being too modern to deal with stringbags.) The aircraft themselves were simply not that capable before 1939, either unable to carry heavy payloads, too short ranged, poor navigation systems, or not being modern enough as the Army Air Force of

  11. Nice, port growth has arrived in game. You invest lots of money lockers, wooden chests and victory marks and you can enlarge your port (in points). Could it be turned into a tool to regulate one of the common problems in RvR, overexpansion? Yes. While in my opinion we need also a mechanism which reduces port size again (as punishment for bad management, neglect or conquest), I think the costs of port growth need to get linked to clan size and nation ranking, as a method to fight overexpansion and super power.   12. Ships historically if you didn't get a catastrophic hit would be pretty spongey tho. Sinking a ship is usually just a bonus, damaging it and forcing the enemy to take it in to port was often what happened putting it out of action for often times until the end of a war.

It's about the fact that admin announce something (DLC $40 to $50) then deliver something else (Trinc official price $39.99) -that we can all craft or buy in game for a very low price- and tell us that we can ONLY believe what's in the patch notes.   19. i break DLCs all days and 99 percent times is trash. And talking about "pay to win" i see Ram Dinark all days without DLCs and he still sink all server without problems, ands i have all DLCs and im still loosing ships like a noob. DLCs is "pay to make your life easy and forget moving hello kittying teak all day". And maybe "pay to see liq crying" :PP And talking about buy DLCs, seems that most of guys forget that this is a game and Game Labs is a company that wants to make money and they sell their products, like a bank, a pub or clothing store. Yeah, i would probs hold out no the steam release and roll the campaign out here first, since if you release it in a really buggy or broken state onto steam, the screechies will flood the reviews and start weeing all over their keyboards, because reading and using brain plus patience is hard apprently in the 21st centuary still. Oh well. I think most if not all academy missions could do with multiple win conditions (including kill all, kill 75% if enemy retreats at this point with x amount of ships left you win etc). Would make the battles more dynamic then and a bit closer to realism too

  23. Another way to limit the number of gun calibers you choose to use would be to have some sort of system where you have to develop gun models before putting them on ships. So if you want 12" guns on your next BB, you have to spend money and time developing a 12" gun. It would make sense if better versions of a given caliber of gun were developed from earlier ones faster and cheaper, funneling the player towards investing in a few calibers of weapons at a time. Thus most of your guns might have either 12", 6", or 4" guns with a few outliers, just as in real fleets.

  28. At the risk of sounding edgy, I think a lot of WOWS and WT players hopped on early in the testing process because they saw that they could build cool ships. Hence all the talk on earlier feedback pages about "balance", "nerf" and "meta". That could be good, it's always nice to build a player base. I would love if they all bought this title and grew the community. However, their feedback has, in my opinion, often set back the gunnery, propulsion and maneuverability models.   33. Hi, @Mr_Teflon. Thanks for the question. Indeed, the Veteran tick box is disabled in my submod. I thought the idea of veteran-buying to be not very authentic, and adds a bunch of challenge for the player. The only way to preserve experience in your units now is to avoid getting them killed, and investing in the Medicine perk. Also, you can combine units in the submod by dragging them (within the same brigade) on top of one another. Note that they must have the same weapons equipped to accomplish this action, but in this way you can combine experienced units to preserve experience. Th

As a BC fan, getting blown up early due to a magazine detonation (deck pen feels way higher than it should be in the 20k-30k yard band) and reloading with the exact same design while changing nothing is half the fun. Real life naval engagements were often dependent heavily on luck. I think an in-battle save system and resetting of random seeds upon load would alleviate concerns about RNG.

  41. @Xenol I apologize if I came across as attacking you, now that you've explained where you're coming from I understand. In fact, I largely agree with you. I spend so much time making a case for the gunnery and fire control systems to be accurate, I don't often stop to think about if they work at present. There seems to be some evidence that they are not working as intended. It would be nice to have more nuts and bolts information from the devs on how ballistics are being simulated and how fire control works.   43. The beauty of a computer game versus a board game is that it can do those calculations for you. There's no reason for players to have to go outside the game to do math when the game could do it right then and there. Having players alt-tab out to figure out the thickness of their armour is not a good way to go, in my opinion. There's also good literature that could be incorporated into the game that explains how armour works and how kinds differ from each other, but the math should be automatic if possible.   44. The cruiser had a belt thickness of 324mm of Krupp IV armor. The game displays the base thickness in the armor section and tells you the type under the components list. Even if we assume the irl Des Moines has 150mm of Krupp IV equivalent, that's still only about 320mm or so in raw steel/iron values. This ship had the equivalent of battleship grade armor (324mm is about the same thickness as a Scharnhorst belt at it's thickest, again with the same armor grade of what is Krupp IV in game on a ship that when I reconstructed it weighed 10k tons.   45. There are many things affecting aim. To properly aim, ships need to go through a process of making a few shots until they get a good bearing. Having only one or two guns of the same kind makes this process take a LOT longer, so double and tripple barrel turrets help here. The smallest guns are not necessarily the most accurate. Look at each gun to see which one has the best accuracy. For example the 16"/406mm are more accurate than the next bigger and the next smaller calibre guns. In general doubles are more accurate than tripples, but you need to make sure to have at least two tu
