  2. Just so everyone is aware, Sweden has pulled out from this war. Many thanks to everyone on both sides who put the time in to make this an interesting (Even if sometimes salty) war. Spain in particular, best allies you can ask for - Highly recommended! Unfortunately the time commitment to this game, particularly on the RvR side, has finally taken its toll and so before to much damage is done to our homeland we are calling it a day.   3. We gave you battle over most of Virgin Islands, and Plymouth, Fort Baai. Several times. We did our part, I think. And we fought you whenever we could, even if with Redoutables for the most part. My alt in Vera Cruz wasn't set up till a couple of weeks ago, then we started using real ships and, even if we didn't fight your A team, we fought pretty well I must say. Fair winds.

  4. 20 days, more like 4 months. We've been having (almost) daily port battles (sometimes even several) since christmas truce was over. Was only a matter of time, really But one has to realize we've come to an end, when we can't even field a proper ship fleet for a port in the middle of our homeland anymore - Plymouth ship setup It's time to call the GG Having said that, I don't think there currently is any nation able to face a fleet consiting of players like Ram Dinark, Captain Reverse, Dron, Sekiro, lots of experienced REDS playing since 2016 etc.

  5. To my swedish allies, now i must really laugh. france, spain and other small nations are constantly in much worser situation, than you ever was. I cannot understand this attitude. You have an incredible big stock of ressources and ports, you have a very good player base, all things many other nations do not have. I will remember to the french situation. 9 months ago, we were attacked by dozens of raiders directly in front of fort royal, all trading and fighting action were senseless. Do france gave up?? So pls remember to your vinking history and go on fighting. We will support you.

  7. It was a really funny figth with you, most good and experience players. Tons of hours of diversion, never with enemies, because in NA there are no enemies, only mates of diferent factions in this excellent game. I hope ypu good luck, and i see you on seas, o7 and love, Despe

  11. I'm not a new player. But it seems that a couple times a year I screw up and delete something, instead of splitting it. I do lots of splitting to balance out the loads when trading and/or fishing. I destroyed a half a million reals worth of Hull repairs in an instant. Argggg. Once I accidentally destroyed 600 tons of Dorado. Another time I destroyed more than 2,000 Doubloons. Also 2,800 tons of Logwood. I sympathize with your pain. I trade a lot, and I'm clicking on the UI almost constantly. Every now and again a mistake happens and suddenly the wrong buttons have been selected

  16. BSTD, and Danes, never stopped fighting... and I don't think we had many resources, nor many players as you're stating there. Yes, Russia was numerical advantaged, but what about Britain? It was too, but got overwhelmed by Sweden anyway. Swedes even had more quality ships than Russia... owning the Northern Master Carpenters depot. Anyway, it was after all a nice war. gg to everyone, see you in the next one.

GG russians - many of the pb's were a ton of fun - ty for that many of us in sweden (myself included) need to take a break from the daily port battles commitment though we were never a zerg it was a tribute to us that our comparatively far smaller numbers were often considered such by others i am sure after some recuperation we'll be back to have another fun campaign! thanks for all the fish p.s. one thing you can be assured of is that you won't be seeing me crying for months on the forums that we don't have a 55 point crafting port

  18. The ports and resources aren't the problem. Sweden has had to fill port battles every day with more multiflips than I can even remember. It's the same fights with the same fleets over the same ports over and over again. It's enough to drive anyone mad.

  22. Forget it, he's bragging about winning, even though we had a random fleet on random ships. In addition, one of these random players exploded inside our formation and we lost at the very beginning of the battle. But let Basteyyy think he's cool

  23. While not a extremely annoying issue, a nice quality of life change would be adding a weight ballast option for the ship builder. Weight offset is not a serious issue but certain hulls (N3/g3, Battle cruiser III [with super firing B turrets], dreadnought III and some other ships i have not named) have extremely odd tower placement which puts the ship design in a serious bind regarding offset. maybe at the cost of some wasted displacement we can see ballast to help balance the ship which can cause in interesting decision on whether or not using that weight for more smaller guns or component o

  26. 20 days lol, Couldn't agree more with Liq, i'd love to see any other group of 10 of so players go against the fleet Ram, Reverse, Dron, sekiro, Tutan put together that would always turn up to the important PB's. GG guys was 4+ months of good fun which i sure brought more people to the game with all you streaming most of the action.

  30. Poor choice of words. What I mean is the heavy barbette armor was only above the waterline. Iowa's main armored deck was the second deck, the one just under the main (topside) deck. The barbette structure continued down to the bottom, but the heavy barbette armor was only above the armored second deck. There was some internal armor. It was 3in from the 2nd to the 3rd deck, with I believe another internal structural ring of 1.5in. It was 1.5in below that. The 3in ring was probably there as a support to the armor above it and as a splinter guard for penetrating bombs and shells. H

  31. Not sure if this thread is still being utilized, but I'll throw my two cents here. Having an extension to the dreadnought era feels almost like a must. Even if it's only later down the line, a 5 or 10 year extension back could make the later dreadnoughts feel like that much more of a technical leap. And while pushing it (especially since all it was was the topic of an April fools mission) Having a situation where even ironclads could be prevalent, even if only the last of their classes, could be another chance for the player to experience a massive leap in technology.   32. Both sides were tired out. The Devs, in their infinite wisdom during this COVID-19 isolation, decided to remove cooldowns did not help. It felt like on both sides it was coming to a desire to end the war. It was a back and forth war with very little to no progress. Would not surprise me if the war continued Russia would have lost their progress like they have in the past and then make gains another day. It was becoming a 10 round boxing match against two pretty even fighters exchanging blows. Game is horribly flawed.

  33. just because a war is fought asymmetrically doesn't make it invalid, wars of attrition and exhaustion work too, look to IRL examples such as afghanistan, vietnam etc

  36. It's been a good while since we saw a 25 slots battle filled by a single clan, not 25 shallows... Gentlemen, Prussia looks as the most impresive Faction growth from the wipe thx to the KRAKE clan. Good stuff for the server. What is the secret of KRAKE's to gather so many players and keep them unified on long run ? Rusia managed to federate several clans on same stream while Prussia has managed to build up a really consistent single clan. Chapeau !!

  39. Tricky thing these facts you speak of. There was at one point GB/Swe/VP/Pirates/Spain vs Russia and US (if you count them during EU times). Your numbers combined were superior to ours and the multi-flips flowed. Despite some hiccups and lost territory Russia remained determined to keep on going. There were times when we would only defend 2 out of 4 or 5 port battles at a time during multi-flips. Members of the NATO alliance it woud appear, did not have the stamina and slowly that alliance came apart for various reasons. I'm sure BASTD and GB could tell you all about it. To put thi

  42. To which I'll add how Prinz Eugen was able to hear the screws of approaching British battleships, and as far as anyone can tell, she did not stop to hear them. Against ships and torps, it seems the sonars do work even when the ships are at speed. Also, we might add that any time a T-V homes in on an escort ... torpedo is moving at over 20 knots, the sensor is utterly puny. But it finds something to home on. I notice in the academy that although my ship has no raised gun platforms for superfiring, or elevating the turret a deck higher, if I choose to select "barbette" under the armour menus it causes the weight of my ship to increase. Do I assume then that the "barbette" is the whole of the armoured cylinder from the turret all the way down to the shell rooms? If it is only a raised gun platform above deck level, then this increase must be an error - or maybe it refers to the portion of the cylinder above main deck where the hull has a raised foredeck?   45. Не знаю, поднималась ли подобная тема раньше, но: уважаемые разработчики, можно ли наконец-то сделать балансные правки четырем кораблям, которые очень редко появляются в ПвП? Я говорю про Вику, Пашу, Васю и Третий рейт. Особенно на фоне введённых Имлака и Редута. Эти корабли, как по мне, абсолютно потеряли свою нишу. На мой взгляд нюба, который ниче в игре не шарит, Васе реально не хватает скорости, или размера трюма, или и того и другого. Как по мне, Вася мог бы занять нишу корабля, который чуть сильнее Ингера, и ходит хорошо против ветра. Паше не хватает маневренности и толщины борта,
