  2. Isn't this thread surpossed to be about feedback? I mean its great and all people having convo's but trying to read feedback consistently and effciently when 2-4pages are taken up by arguements doesn't really help. We should have a general discussion or arguement thread somewhere so people can talk without issue (best to put here since this will be the most viewed sub-forum). Otherwise we are just clogging the thread up with pointless posts.

  3. Just to say thank you for this excellent work, this game is a passion so cleverly shared by its creator. I follow war games since Amigas computers ! this game, let's say "Ultimate" brand, is the best evolution I could expect for historical war games. Creative Assembly pioneers should be proud of this brillant new challenger in market. Keep it up ! cheers

  8. Hi, I was sailing a tbrig, not worth very much, and get intercepted by a hercules. I manage to avoid the tag by tagging an ai-fleet. The pirateplayer, Julien Blackbird (CAPT) then joins the battle on my side. Ok, no problem, i geuss he'll just wait for me to jump out and follow me outside again. But then as I'm getting away, Julien Blackbird decides to shoot my sails and makes me get caught by the ai-fleet. I clicked his name in the chatreportthing.   10. As disc says above the IJN and USN both upgraded their 8in guns but otherwise it was not very common as far as I know. Especially when looking at pre-WW1 refits to various cruisers you usually see a larger main gun getting swapped for something smaller, Franz Joseph-I class mounting new 15cm's in place of the old 24cm guns for example.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but with the new patch and Hotfix, secondary and tertiary weapons become extremely lethal, so much that I equipped my pre 1918 battleships with 9" guns and as much 6" and 2" guns as possible, combined with a high speed. With the new penetration values I would just go close in and hammer even heavily armored battleships with my 6" guns. In a fight of 10 BB vs 10BB my ships repeatedly annihilated the enemy, in most cases without losing a single ship. Also interesting were the hit probabilities at very close (<2500 m) range: Main guns 1%, 6" 8%, 2" 15%.

  12. Quad turret were leaked a couple of months back, so they will be a thing possible alpha 4 or 5 at the least. I think they are working on making ship building more fluid (i hope so anyway) so that we have more control on how ships look and stuff. Depends if they hard coded most of it or they went down a more open source route (hopefully) if they went for the former you might as well forget it, the latter that will probs come alpha 6+ or during beta and/or release. Think there was a thread made by @Absolute0CA i think or least he came up with some gud suggestions.

  13. Will the game get mod support that allows the community to develop mods that add new ship types and new ship parts? Or perhaps new Naval Academy missions? I think this game could really benefit from being moddable once developed, as this would allow for users to add their own ship hulls and parts to their own local game, which would be really nice to have.

So my strategy was this: I sent an Ardent to distract the opposing Ardent and Bellona (best ship currently available) while my other 5th Rates and another Ardent dealt with their 5th's and the Americans. My Ardent was able to destroy the Bellona (accidentally as I wanted to capture it) and severally weaken the other Ardent by the time my 5th's had mopped up the rest of the enemy. My combined forces were able to quickly and easily force the remaining Ardent to surrender. Note that it is in fact quite easy to win a boarding engagement against a much more powerful foe using boarding equipmen

  16. What difficulty are you playing? There are many ways to win a battle. In normal difficulty I went into that battle with the first deploy block I put one 4th rate ship and then three 7th rate explosive barrels ships to use them to take out some of those big ships in that battle which helped out a lot. In the second deploy box I put in four 5th rate ships and used them to gang up on any ship near them. Sounds to me you went into that battle with only 4 ships? I went in with 8 although three would blow up which is what I wanted. I imagine if you don't have a lot of ships by this point in

  17. я конечно сейчас почти не играю , но нафига нормально фитить сраный фрегатик? ты на старые жигули будешь шины с дисками от феррари ставить? или какой то суперобвес? вдобавок новый акк тебе нифига не даст - из-за очереди на ауке шанс купить у тебя невелик. так что покупай в глобале и не парься

  18. In addition to escaping battle, it would be nice if the one who escaped actually spawned out of view range of where the battle took place. This will remove problem with continous re-taging for several hours straight.

Hello there, i know this is a lot of work i ask of you, but i think it might be nice to have a sticky faq thread, ideally created and maintained by Nick, as i think there are a few questions floating in the room, that repeatedly come up again and refresh and would definitely help waiting.   21. I got tagged by the same Prince 5 times in a row yesterday. The first 3 just to keep me in place til his mates arrived the 4th and 5th when he tried (and failed) to chain me down so they could catch. They didn't even get close. In the final battle I repped only once and after over an hour my sails were at 98%. It took over 2 hours until they finally gave up. Theoretically they could have done it for another 2. You might argue that they did nothing wrong but if so then there is something fundamentally wrong with ROE atm where someone can waste hour after hour of your game-time with very little

  23. Considering all the chat that goes on, i would like to say a congrats to the devs for in my opinion getting the game to a point where i cant think of much that needs fixing. Recent changes to the trading, Port Battles BR, the change of how hostility is done, and fingers crossed the latest patch to the fireships that were just stupid!!! Finally i feel this game is at its strongest point ive seen it and hope it brings alot of new people to the game, even some old may come back!!! If there was a suggestion i would make its the distance of the Privateer fleets that come and tag you. I

  25. Also Privateers and Raiders don't only sail 'ships of the line'; so it's double wrongo. Unless a trinc is now a ship of the line. Like the Ratt is a ship of the line but also NOT a ship of the line

  28. OH, wait. I remember you. You are that . . . individual . . . who bought the game because school was out for the weekend. Because a particular patch / battle release was delayed by 48 hours and you would not be able to play during recess you loudly demanded a refund. Then disappeared, only to reappear at this time. I guess school is back out. You are hard to forget, in the entire history of this game you are the only individual who has acted or behaved this way.

If you think being a jerk is going to help you, you are wrong again.   30. Full clear on Legendary 1.11 with 2k casualties. The reinforcement change is not that big a deal, just have to adapt to it.
