  2. What are you arguing about here. These "night players" are the lightest enemy. they are not spoiled for a good war. Only write on the forum and fight for empty cities in the dead of night. Kill them and that's it, it's very easy. On invisible islands, we did not even sweat, easy 3x Port Battle. we already stopped attacking them further.   6. So I wanted to help a US player against several French in a Snow infront of a US owned port. US player managed to get to his square fort, with a French ship chasing him and me stern camping the French guy. All went well, at first, but then the fort startet shooting at me. Guess how many volleys the fort needed to obliterate me? @Developers, cmon guys, is it that hard to fix this?   8. I've suggested this several times in other threads before, but it was recently suggested to me to make a topic for it. Wall of text incoming. If you're intent on skipping it, skip to the bold part for the mechanics suggestion. I personally liked our old system of craftable upgrades better. You know the one, the old grey/green/blue/purple/gold system where you could craft most modules and upgrades using mid grade notes and some materials. But there were some very powerful, very rare modules (gold marines, carpenters, light carriages, etc.) that made that system no good. I understand

  9. Every ship should have a strong point and a weak point in their sailing/wind profile! Otherwise, you can buff ship like cerberus too, make her faster upwind, so you can catch a trader lynx. But the le broken needs some tweaks, but no buff for downwind...

  10. the problem is you can redeem the le Requin and the Hercules within a day, you only see those 2 ships atm what means that game has become legends beta in some sort... in NA pvp it ruins the normal game, you don't see the normal ships anymore and if you see a normal ship it is a victim of the DLC ships also , trading and crafting are crippled by those ships. if a 4 rate is calling for help against a Hercules you know something is wrong.... period and that counts for many ships ... why don't we put a wo2 submarine in the game? that would be fun too.

  12. Greetungs, Devs, @admin and others i belive release of DLC ships showed us another issue that we are not talking about it here on forums. DLC ships will be always very likable becouse it looks like most people rather wait for cooldown than bother collecting gold and materials then crafting ships or buying ships. I suggest this is something too be looked at

  13. The nights feel wayyy too short. Both in OW and in battle. I know that OW and battle is sped up, but it would be cool if you engaged at night, that the actual battle was at night. And vice versa

  22. The title says it all. Background: I was with two Gros Ventres as fleet ships and went into battle with three enemy ships. One of them turned against one Gros Ventre and captured it after boarding, leaving it behind with zero crew and white flag. My second Gros Ventre I had ordered to retreat which she did. I then sunk two adversary Constitutions and captured the last enemy, a Bellona, after long fight against my Bellona. Now I was trying to head back to the lonely Gros Ventre to regain that ship.   24. Why should a ship catch it when sailing it's best angle. It's a raider. It can't brawl a fighter. And that speed is modded. So most of the ships in the game are down wind ships and everyone moans about one of the few fast up wind ships. Have you been run down by a speed 15 bellonas? They are common.

  25. REDS is resurrected from its slumber, starting on a small scale with PvP encounters, working with the other Russian clans and gradually moving into RvR as and if we see fit to do so. REDS has a reformed leadership structure. And clan organisation - it turns out communism doesn't work (who'd have thought?), so we will be trying oligarchy next...   26. I appreciate this part of you suggestion the most. It gives all players in the game a chance at the elite mods regardless of their play style. If it encourages them to sail around more and play the game more frequently- that would be a big win for the game. I've said it many times before that there are many different ways to enjoy the game and we should encourage them all.

  27. For the hugging problem, personally I would like to see a system where a ship can fire muskets/grenades at an enemy that is close to it. The damage should be based off of how high your boarding prep is. The idea being that if you have a small ship hugging down a first rate the first rate can turn on boarding prep to damage the small ship hugging it but the draw back would be he would take extra crew loss by them being exposed. For officers I think it would be interesting, but the ai is so dumb and frustrating sometimes.

  28. Remove it from the game until the crew size, hull and armament is historically accurate, while making it redeemable only once a week, then adjust the sailing profile if needed. The Requin is a joke as it is currently.

  30. I never crafted ships. Always bought them. Great ships for 150k to 400k or so. I don't sail big ships. I am a pirate. I bought one as often as I needed. I take lots of risks solo hunting. I am only an average player so maybe 1 ship every week or so. Now I have DLC ships. I redeem them when I want one. I have redeemed 2 ships in 15 days..... You only redeem them if you lose one and if that's EVERY DAY then someone is getting a lot of PvP marks and a lot of extra PvP. This is a good thing.

  39. Short answer: No. Slight correction to your (mostly valid) point about SOLs being a rare sight IRL: Third rates cruised sometimes with a small fleet (perhaps even alone, on occasion, IIRC). They made excellent frigate hunters. They were the big workhorses of the navies. Strong enough to withstand line battles, fast enough to cruise for the enemy. Big enough to deter smaller ships from attacking. Small enough to be outfitted and sailed regularly without enormous operating costs. Reasoning: Anything that further limits what ships people can and can't sail

  41. See, this is my problem with how they want to implement duels: Use your own ships with shiploss. That will lead to a ton of kiting in order to not lose that one Shiny Gold super modded duel ship. And people will claim succesful draws by running (dont think thats the Case in this duel here tho) Duel should be: 1:1 same conditions, same ships / upgrades, no ship loss. One winner. No draws.
