  3. Okay so, I have had this game for about two days and I can't stop playing it! I love the fact that you can kinda role play with your character in the beginning and also the fact that you can buy weapons and also the fact that the A.I. is actually smart! I also love the graphical style of this! Please take everything you did here and put it in your next game(including style)! Oh and thanks!

  7. They did not care, they were busy grinding up their own PB at Little River Per the second part of your comment: If the LGV is available for PvP marks, how is it not intended for engaging in PvP? The LGV has the same firepower as a Niagara and turns like an Endymion. This severe disadvantage in PvP is countered by its sailing profile and the ability to enter enemy ports. If you prevent LGV and Indiaman from entering enemy ports under a smugglers flag, then you basically nerf trading in the entire game. I see plenty of traders smuggle 4 Indiamans inside Mortimer Town.   8. for the love of god.....why are pvp marks back in the game. It was an alt farming fest last time....it's an alt farming / ganking fest this time. As long as there are special items that you can purchase that improve PVP, players will abuse mechanics to get them. If we have to have PVP marks, make them for cosmetic items only. Paints, flags....ships names.

Busy day for the Swedes, thats how we like it. ^^ Portbattle Sweden vs Russia @ Cap Francais Commanders: Sweden: redii, Havelock and sveno Russia: Babay Result: Russian Victory A very brutal and long portbattle. Until short to the end the Swedes had a chance for a win, but the Russians played very well and won the defensive PB. With 30 minutes more it might have been a Swedish victory. GG WP o7 Russians. Around this Portbattle there were also 3 screening/OW battles with the RUBLI/PodW clan on the Russian side of things and the Danes on the Swedish side. Well p

  11. I was managing my outposts and lost pretty much all my ships. 1. Teleport to outpost 2. delete outpost in outpost group 3. remake the outpost (essentially changing where it is in the order) I thought if I TPs to the outpost first and be in a ship would not kill any of the ships and well, seems I was wrong about this. my warehouse assets are all still there though... Anyway it seems to be the case that in fact you do lose all your ships even if you're in the same outpost. Is there any way to get the ships back? I know there is a warning that if you LEAVE the port yo

  12. I remember way back Developers said we will have different fleets that could even attack players. Long time after we see nothing new. It would be nice to have more variety.   14. This statement is not fact. It is a opinion based upon individual player expectations. Many many players do function properly with one single account. We can debate merits of your statement, which has a lot of it, but is not true for everyone.

  15. I really really really just don't want complex crafting like (recent) POTBS where with three accounts, that's 30 structures if you pay for it, which I did, it still takes 4 days to build a frigate. I got burnt out on POTBS crafting.

  17. It's still not about trader ships going for pvp. It's about them hiding after the battle so no one can catch them. They are untouchable once they are inside a harbour. You can't use smuggler flag on a warship. But you can on an LGV. And an LGV in the hands of a good PVP player is still as capable as a warship in the hands of the average player. BUT the LGV can dock just about ANYWHERE as long as they have the smuggler flag enabled.

  19. I don't know what's up with your concrete minds. It's not the ganking LGV's ITSELF that is the problem. The problem is that they can just simply walk into a harbour if you wait for them outside. And the root to the problem as far as I can see is the smuggler flag. It's a straight up broken mechanic. Don't defend it cause you like using it yourself. We're together building a game that should encourage new players. If you want your version of naval action go taste the future on global server with an average of ~60 players.

Wahrscheinlich ein ziemlicher Zufall dass du lebend aus Christiansted wieder weggekommen bist.

  22. The LGV is weaker than other ships of the same class, and I believe it has fewer crew as well. The nice part about it is that you can use it to enter enemy ports. Haven't used one since they require notes but I'm all for keeping LGV as is. If you don't like people using them as raid ships and being able to enter ports, patrol your nation's ports.

  23. Yesterday we scored 115 PvP marks on the US coast (2x LGV and 1x Prince) and I can confidently say that 0 of them came from hiding in port. The only way the smuggler flag helped us was to buy rig/hull repairs inside the enemy port (which is exactly what the smuggler flag is designed to do). Yes, its embarrassing to lose a ship to LGV but do not blame it on the smuggler flag. The ganking is 100 times worse at free towns without any use of the smuggler flag...

  25. Thanks for the kind invite, Im fine tho. Mostly cause the problem would follow no matter which nation you play in. Im not particularly angry. Just annoyed that people are actually defending this behaviour. It's an alpha, game play will change during this time. We're game owners and testers at the same time. We're here to report things we are unhappy about. Finding faulty game mechanics is just scratching the surface. I would for example not wish to buy naval action the day it's released to find myself hunting the white rabbit without a chance to catch him.

  28. Closing of the outpost requires several steps The warning and first confirmation All buildings, ships, items and goods in that port will be lost! Question one requiring you to move the mouse (by switching the position of confirm button) Are you sure if yes click abandon Required typing If you are sure - please type CLOSE by hand. AND click confirm (again switching the position of the confirm button)

  29. If you get to complex it becomes a time sync that people wont want to do. Right now the focus is on sailing and fighting, less about crafting. If this were Wurm Online, Life is Feudal, or Mortal Online, I would say sure... but all three of those games already have something like that in place.

  30. Sorry , My English is not good and for this reasons I will write in Russian. Сегодня стал свидетелем фарма ПвП марок на альтах. Знаю , уже не первый случай и есть отдельный топик. Но данный топик касается только одного игрока с ником Xanderus . Доказать очень просто. Приватир не сопротивлялся , не поднимал паруса , а так же отошел от порта. Мазохист ? Жертва Датским богам ? Сомневаюсь. Так же сомневаюсь что игрок с одним из первый званий просто так оказался так далеко от Шрауд Кея ( или где там Поляки появляются ). Данный игрок нападает на свой твинк около Ла Моны и топит его.

  32. Wouldn't that still be an advantage as they can run around for say 5 minutes and then dock up and come back? What I suggest is they have to run back to neutral/national or free port to enable it again. A player in an LGV engaging others in combat hardly have any intentions of trading which the smuggler flag was intended for.

  33. This exactly. Arguing on this thread that if you lose to an LGV you should be ashamed, or you don't know how to fight, or whatever, has nothing whatsoever to do with the issue pointed out. It is exactly what Rigges says, it's a deliberate abuse of the game mechanics to get around the intended gameplay. It's not cheating necessarily, but I dare anyone to get on here and say that the devs deliberately planned the LGV to be for use of people as warships with the extra uncanny ability to hide in enemy ports. It's clearly not intended to be used that way, because warships cannot enter/leave ene

I won't disagree with redii but I would expect the nationals that are veterans to at least share some common sense with the new blood - don't fall into the trap of turning and burning game ( leads to boarding which is their strength ) with the LGVs. Keep your downwind, keep the beams open for rolling from the back broadsides, shatter their sides, shoot their sails, don't repair out of panic, keep speed and keep that routine. Making them retreat is a victory.

  39. An LGV using smuggler flag is pretty much untouchable as the LGV has a different sailing profile than most square rigs. Only ships that COULD have a chance would be another LGV, the refit, pirfrig or surp. You'd be pretty much chanceless if you face a boarding fitted lgv refit unless you get lucky and get a mast or two. The swivels are insane against crew. Now Im not saying they are faster cause they have smuggler flag enabled. But that enables them to jump into any harbour where they can hide. How people can't see any issues with that is beyond me. Tell a new player about this issue

They have massive amounts of mind numbing PVE and eco boredom and so shitty fighting mechanics I giggle at them calling it PVP. I could leave PVE guys alone but they won't leave me alone. You have to partake in PVE to get certain upgrades and they complain when fighters are given ships for marks. Somehow their fun doesn't make sense unless everyone is force fed their way of playing.

  45. After nearly 400 years Danmark blockading Sund not allowing our fleets leave Baltic Sea. Danmark ride few times our homewaters and burn our ships. Now finnaly we arrive to the New World and we have moral right to establish our colony and take ports we need to secure our colonies.
