A feature I'd like to see ingame is a detailed stats-screen after each battle, that lists details such as what ships were used by whom, the kills / assist / death distribution (since it can be quite hard to have an overview from a screenshot that was taken when the battle timer runs out, when players leave early, and surrendered / captured ships don't show). Maybe even go that far and list minor details like how hull / chain hits or crew kills. Additionally, what about rewards for specific achievements, like the most kills / most crew kills / most sail hits / ... for port battles? Those co

  7. Mods allow you to have your ship customized and fitted for a specific purpose. With mods built in this will have to be countered by have more ships of the same type but different fits. Are we going to get extended docks too then? One of the great things about games like EVE is that you have your ship that is a base and is always the same and then make it completely custom fit the way you like to play the game. I don't get your complains, you're arguing about ppl that just played the game ? Ok they shot your sails for a long moment, but what did you expect ? You thought they will suicide between 2 1st rates ? They ain't dumb, they were defending with less players than you, they did their job that's all.   12. Just as a trial case: Would a frigate shooting sails of 1st rates it tagged and otherwise running be griefing? Because the definition is tough to set in that case. Is it griefing in missions and should it also be seen as griefing in tagging/screening? If a smaller ship keeps tagging you without any intention of getting into a "real' fight, what you are arguing, shouldn't this apply to screening as well, especially since they are both RVR related and equally annoying? #foodforthought For the mods: i know this isn't direct evidence of sorts, I would implore you to look at this line of reas

  13. It was a well fought battle and down to the wire. I was expecting well built heavy ships to face, but just look at that hardware in Tuetonic's Battle Report Post. The hulls were like Steel and it seemed like every CCCP Captain had turned out... This both sides knew it would be a real fight and it showed with Sweedish Cheese[SS] and Herring Latte[SS] screening early and pressing the ELITE main body coming down from K/PR.   14. When you are defending a position is there anyway the developers can change/alter/fix/or do something to keep line inf in place after a successful melee while defending? I am finding it very hard to hold a contiunous line of battle after the attackers charges my line and loses a melee fight. I just had a game where one of my brigades just held off a melee attack and proceeded to either 1. Chase them or 2. Could not disengage from that federal brigade. The results were my brigade getting to far out from my defensive line (heavy woods) and ran into the open (all the while still chasing thi

Правда в тундре есть говорящая голова - КаэМ Кеококсий, а тут и вовсе не понятно, то ли разработчики свалили в Таиланд, то ли их всех разом метеорит придавил.

  20. LMAO.......The only people I have seen complaining about Port Battle Timers are the YMCA brigade of Exploiters. I have not seen 1 post in response to the US complaining of day timers prime EU times.... I can happily find lots from The Danes, French & Spanish. Enjoy your Night battles just like the EU alliance will enjoy defending the US during your PB flipping times. As I have stated in numerous threads, AUS, US, China etc are entitled to play on whatever server or fight for whichever server they choose!   21. melee dragging please needs to be fixed in time for full release it is probably the most frustrating complaint I still have. Just about everything else has been fixed which is great. I am still running into the issue where a unit's movement orders are cancelled after a new phase of a battle begins.

  22. Looks liek a good turn out on the ELITE side too. Good try, maybe next time. Looks like a close match number wise. I can understand the guys with lower ranks, but the brining 2nd and 3rds when you can be in a 1st rates is honestly hurting the Nationals. That and stop putting RA's in mortar brigs that can be in SOL's. Put you lower level guys in good ones and get them trained up until they can get into SOL's and that will help ya'll with the numbers. Good luck on the next ones. Do you know how Rookie zone battle work? The battles stay open until BR is 300 on each side.

  23. Actually hardly talked to Decken all that much apart from working on creating a bit more centralized system to the Dutch and improve external communication. I wouldnt say salty. Maybe exhausted is a better term. Between constantly trying to counter grind Swedes everyday and then making attempts to grind up our previously controlled regions, the hypocrisy of the Pirates and everyone else, just need to take a slight break and wait for everything to quiet down. With the population of the Dutch we cannot pull shifts on lowering or raising hostilities or do it rapidly anymore. So a lot of us are ju

  25. i dare say you will be unhappy when its done to you, if you don't have anything to add as you were not in the battle then don't post here. Also funny from the guys who cry about the time of port battles but then delay them till they are night flips rather then fight our fleet. All i asked for was a ruling on if this acceptable from the mods, if it is then i will simply start using it my self and let it go.

  27. Detach and Reattach Skirmishers. When you Attach or Reattach Skirmishers, the brigade resets position to before they engaged in melee. Yes, it's an exploit, but when this kind of shit happens, it's unfair as hell and I use it anyway to make up for that.

Posting for the parties involved Savanna La Mar - Brits/US Vs Danes/Swedes Outcome - Danes successfully defend SLM At least judging from the outcome it is noticeable that the attacks tend to bring a varied amount of 1st/2nd rates (and then the best ships the others can bring) whereas the Danes/Swedes bring their 1st rate fleet in force.

When grinding up a port battle at Castries our missions was joined by 4 french players who after a moment of fighting proceeded to run away up wind for the full hour the fight had remaining despite requests to leave if they had no intention of fighting us. They ran away dragging our mission out for the full 1.5 hours despite repeated offers and requests to leave if they did not want to fight. I would like a ruling on if this is acceptable behavior, as if this is ok then we WILL start using the same to prevent flips at times we don't want. The best I've done on Everettsville is roughly 1.5 to 1 (13k Union, 7.5k Confederates), on patch 0.75, using an attack on the far Union left: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Va5MSttuRLE I've tried the frontal assault twice in tests, with one win and one loss - however, casualties were north of 10k both times. For a battle with such a small victory reward, it's just painful. When I play it again, I'm definitely going to push harder on that flank - the supporting attack on the fortifications was unnecessary, I think.

  37. For Everettsville, I feel like the only real option is to do a heavy-weight frontal charge where the enemy is stretched over a wide area. In the middle near the VP is ideal. Four or five brigades attacking one has worked for me on all levels. Capture the VP and end the scenario as soon as possible. Best you can hope for is 1:1 casualty rate on Legendary. Not the most satisfying mission...

  38. Just finished my first play of chickamauga as csa and I lost on day one because I ran out of time capturing the final crossing. I was very cautious trying to limit my casualties and dealing with the endless skirmishers. I think the visibility system could do with improvement because I found that my troops at the southern Ford could not see the entrenched defenders until they were almost on top of them ( I had to run my brigade across because I could not use charge until halfway across the Ford), my supporting artillery being useless with nothing to target.   41. I was hoping officers would become the replacement for mods - and you could develop different officers to be skilled in different things. I detest the constant changing of officer perks, and even swapping mods in and out based on 1st rate versus 4th rate PB's, crafting needs, missions and more. We should have a learning tree/skill choice to choose which direction each officer or ship goes. Boarding, trading, speed, turning, crew morale, broadside speed, mortar usage and more. If the skills are at the player level, then player weaknesses may become too apparent and impossible to o

  42. As I said I prefered to read my latter interpretation, that it will unlock the ability to mount the modification, not that modifications will be removed completely. Which leads me to think that there will still be a degree of customisation, but you won't be able to pick up an awesome new ship and give it 'gold' modifications straight away, that you would need to earn the rights to mount those mods, and that there will be some path to doing that (hopefully not an awful 'Have leaks 500 times to unlock pumps'). Of course I could be wrong...

  44. I am a bit late to the party but here is my radical suggestion; give carbine cavalry sabres and pistols. Now I am not an expert on the acw but from what I have read cavalry were equipped with a range of weapons from swords and pistols to shotguns and breechloading carbines. Why not give every cavalry unit a standard sabre and pistol and then allow selection of different carbines. By the 1860s cavalry in the offensive role was overtaken by technology, see the battle of balaclava in the Crimean war for an example of infantry fighting off cavalry without forming square.
