  1. Yesterday upon the stair(Port Morant - Carlisle) I met a man(French, Danes) who wasn't there(hiding in battle results/logging off) He wasn't there again today(randomly people from yesterday log in and pop out around the port) I wish, I wish he'd go away(or start playing an actual PvP game instead of using this exploit) The British nation would appreciate if the ganker fleets in the area of Carlisle would not use the battle result hiding exploits to end the night of PvP after a single attack. If you're short on time Jamaica is the wrong place for an attack and if you're afraid to lose yo

  4. I dont want to spend all my time my time looking and farming for ships. We had that pre EA. Crafting wasnt introduced at that point. So you had to sail through the hole map and visit every port to find the right ship with an good inbuild. In my opinion a complete1 dura system is very similiar to that. Everyone will spend more time crafting gathering hiding and nobody wants to fight. Or when you want to fight just in gankfleets because you could lose the holy one dura ship. Edit: At the moment frigs are more common than SOLs because of the dura system. With 1 Dura everyone will sail Sols

Our strong alliance with the Dutch Nation and our good relations with the American and the Swedish Nations shall be reflected in our treaties.

  8. Calling a revenge fleet to wait out a battle that's going on is the completely unrealistic thing. Ships had neither telephone (Teamspeak) nor GPS at the time. By the time friendly forces would come upon wreckage and debris, the participants of a battle would be long gone. There is nothing exploitative about waiting in battle results screen when the battle is over if you know that a huge revenge fleet is waiting outside. If you wanted to improve on the current system a mechanic should be added that participants in a battle would not reenter open world from an instance in the exact spot the ins

The Citizens rejoiced! But all was not quiet... In his head, Pagan Pete, ever wily, was attempting to effect their escape. He knew It had to be done the very night they were brought in of it wouldn't happen at all. Little Willy, the ginger cabin boy, leaned against Pagan Pete and cried. Pete comforted the lad with a one arm hug, as his mind raced. "How did it come to this?" sobbed Little Willy. "Bah." Sai

  11. Well unfortunaly this person we are talking is not representing the dutch nation. and no he did not inform anyone untill it was already too late so don't blame the dutch nation for it but the person(s) who came up with this this treaty did not involve any kind of Dutch diplomat or through the dutch council what so ever

  12. Sometimes battles are so long that when the battle is over there is rl stuff to do. Without the possibility to logoff in the resultscreen people will get caught in ow and forced to stay in-game. It will be so easy to harass people, because you know where and when they going to leave the battle. You wouldn't actually need to fight. The guy with more spare time will win, because the only way to escape this harass chain is surrendering.

  14. Some of my ships I've owned since steam launch, they have survived unbelievable fights outnumbered, or been there for the first port battle our nation had. Some ships have been "borrowed" from other nations, and maybe even switched sides several times. Point is many of our ships have quite a story tied to them, I would love for there be a way to see this. Not just kill to death ratio (which would be nice as well), but go past that. I would also hope the dev's have this info logged away and we could have it added to the game in the future, but still get to see where our ships have been

  15. For anyone reading this treaty this has not been cleared through the Dutch Council. So please do not take any notice, we have a clan acting on their own. Sorry US, we (DAS) will not agree to this treaty and leave you on your own against the Spanish and Pirates. We will sail to you and help you if necessary.

  16. Obviously this needs Dutch council seal, again though in general I tip my hat to player made content like this. All treaties piss everyone off a bit. I personally would have preferred ANYTHING West of Conil/Cuyo and North of Tombado (but not East) to be open for biffo too. Rather than just handed back. A point of clarification on the Haiti ports being set back to a more French friendly TZ, are the Dutch and Brits going to reset these between them and then return them to Brit ? or do Brits need to shut ports down there ?

  17. 2. Saying that people should only do PvP if they have guaranteed 3 hours to spare is just ridiculous. And the devs have clearly stated on multiple occasions that the ability to log off or take a break after a long battle is necessary. That people use the battle results screen to hide from revenge fleets is a consequence of the revenge fleets and their ability to use GPS and voice communication to organise. 3. The point of patrolling around capital waters is to make slipping past with a gank fleet more difficult. And just because you don't know of it... 4. If you couldn't catch a big french f

  18. I don't understand what people here are getting disappointed about. The treaty clearly states that there will be combat in the gentleman's combat zone which is the western most ports of the british/spanish territorial borders. In addition to this the treaty doesn't stop any nation from not participating in open world battles. Props to you diplomats, this is indeed a well drawn out treaty.

  20. The Quixotic crowd will hate it. But some things are better for the game. Steamrolling has proved to make more people quit than territorial agreements, IMO

  21. It's not a "peace Treaty" so much as an agreement to insure nations involved dont get steamrolled and lose players you can still sink ships and take open ports.

  23. Yes, they should have been moving nonsensical, stacking physical upgrades to officer perks, but instead what we get is officer perks that stack with existing upgrades and even more new, drop-only stacking upgrades. Combinations of stacking upgrades and officers perks are becoming so powerful that they are arguably must have (and must grind) and heavily tilt a fair fight between two players from being determined by player skill to being determined by acquisition and selection of upgrades and officers, or so tilt the game toward easy fight avoidance that seeking fair fights is pointless (either

  24. happened again in front of Roseau yesterday with British captains. yet I agree i'm not fond of hiding in battle screen. But instead of creating a topic in national news, or threatening with a tribunal post, maybe you should have made a neutral post discussing the mechanism. This thread will achieve nothing other than pointing finger and throwing empty accusations.

  25. Dear gentlmen, I am very grateful to the PvP1 players that are presently trying to reach an agreement between Great Britain, Netherland & Spain. First, because they are available and spend hours on this duty while other players are not available due to summer holydays. Second, because they do it in order to keep the PvP1 geo-strategy as atractive as possible untill game mechanic adjustment will be applied by devs. To my point of view, this is a very good sign towards the NA devs that PvP1 player community is responsible & motivated enough to find compromises instead of only « p

  28. Dear Game Labs Studio, I've read a lot about players who like to get the max out of the game and try to run "Naval Action" on multiple gpus. Today i wrote with Nvidia Support about this matter that the game dont get detected by "nvidia experience". As im also a owner of 2 cards and really njoying your Naval Action game i would wish that it will support sli or crossfire in the future. I quess you get this question often... as i saw lots of entrys on google, steam and inside this forum. This should be a kind of "remind" that the performance still needs to be bedder for single card

  29. New USA or even experienced players looking to grind out their levels with some guidance and have their questions about the game answered are welcome to come to my teamspeak at - Infinitum.teamspeak3.com - Ask for Nyurtle, Charlie, Squedage, or Yar Matey. We can show you how to get the most out of your time what to invest into what ports to get where to position your ships for future battles and teach you the mechanics of the game so you can start turning your enemies into prey. We ask for nothing in return except your success while apart of our nation.

  35. Well it's funny the brits are whining over an issue they use themselves in enemy waters. Anyway, should the option of hiding in the battle screen be removed, then it should be allowed to sail a certain distance away from the center of the battle in any direction, this while your still the initial battle, so when you finally exit the battle, you won't exit just on top of an antiganking fleet but somewhere else e.g.new location, still relatively close to where you started the battle, but now with a real option of getting away. this would mean that the information you get in nation chat / TS

  36. 2. That's 3 hours, plus the time it takes to sail to and from. And unlike every other nation it takes a lot of time to sail to the vicinity of Kingston, because there is no free town close to Jamaica. 3. I know of several clans where one of their collaborative objectives is patrolling around their nations' capitals. It can successfully make ganking in the area more difficult. 4. The equivalent of this is that any captain sighting an enemy ganking fleet in open waters, or being targeted by such a fleet, can call out on Teamspeak or in nation chat. And ships that are already ready to set sail,

  38. Been having numerous discussions with numerous people and the same topic comes up, why not make ships one dura's. I know it's been discussed before but how about making anything bigger than a Brig one durability. Kinda like ships in Eve they have one life. This in turn will create more economy, more ships being built, more matts required in the community. It will eliminate the problem I have seen where people don't bring their 1st rates to Regionals because they are one dura's afraid of losing them. So if everything had one dura it levels the field out and forces people to use their ships

  40. Hiding in after battle screen MAYBE is a legitimate solution for all-time workers and etc. But combined with things like defensive tagging, pirates attacking each other, ships popping out of nowhere - it becomes an exploit. Do a lot of people use staying in BS as it was intended (to attend to real life problems) - yes. But on the other hand do a bunch of gank-bang cheaters use this as an exploit - yes! Take a bunch of pirate/spain gank bang of 9+ fast ships raiding around WS each day. This is a gank bang squad which attack only lone and weaker ships and which hides in a battle scr

  41. People talk about, and obsess over the enemies they fear the most. The number of times Vicious mentions TDA in any given thread is so high, it is off the charts. Nobody talks about enemies that pose no threat. I choose not to talk about these guys from now on. I suggest others do the same.

  42. Leave the defensive tag alone. It give solo players the confidence to leave port and capital areas. If it means I miss sinking a boat or two it's worth it to have a population that isn't as afraid to sail around.

  43. As one who has always been involved in pvp and have seen many different iterations and different mechanics, fighting many different wars, different nations, different clans, different "metas", I think I can safely say, and I think others who have been through the same as me (like Doran), can safely say, that the amount of fair fights has actually gone up. Before if you were solo and you attacked an enemy, it didn't matter if your ship was vastly inferior to the enemy's ship, their friends would stream to the location. Now, that isn't the case. I can sail in a privateer or lynx, or a rattles

  44. If they remove coordinates, remove battle markers, then maybe they can remove log off from battle. But as long as the open world runs compressed while battles do not, you can't do this. People must be able to log off. Otherwise people moving at light speed can come to the battle and wait for the people in the battle to get out and gank them.

  45. Germany as in the terms of the "modern state" from 1871 onwards? Can't be really seen as "least successful naval power". As a matter of fact both U-Boat campaigns were pretty successful (especially the one during the first world-war) by pure numbers. The German surface-face fleet, despite being young and without much experience, proved to be a worthy opponent to the royal navy in both world-wars. In terms of naval power Germany is for sure not the "least successful naval power" when you see the damage inflicted upon the merchant shipping... so... Germany might even be the best pirate na
