We were driven there by our game of alternating alliances in the North and also cause we have not been able to have common enemies. Yet, our location should give us a steadfast alliance threatening us that on one front at a time.   5. All fine except for the fact that in a REAL world you wouldn't finish a battle and then suddenly have a dozen enemy surrounding you at 100 yards that you never saw coming

If i get caught by 3 ships that think it's "Fun" to snipe at me for 30 minutes an then demast me and sit just out of my line of fire and shoot me for another 10-15 minutes and not just end it so we both can go about our business. Then hell yea i will turn off survival and either sink faster or blow up because you think it is fun to jump one ship with multiple ships and draw out the battle to your enjoyment for that long no way in hell will I let you take my ship as an added insult if I can help it.

  11. We prefer not to fight the French again in a third war since Januari, Alanxo. I am not sure that Dutch players are then going to keep playing the game. That is all there is to it. Like I said, this is between the French Nation and the Dutch Nation player communities. Do we fight 'till one of our player groups says "goodbye game" or do we shake a firm and friendly hand and give it a rest for a while, so our communities can explore different parts of the map, explore some other possibilities of the game, instead of the same little piece of the map we are sailing as of a few months now or turning

  15. Saw a group of 5 US there last night. Tried to get a group together to fight but failed finding a group. I wish people were not so afraid of losing their ships. PVP fights are fun. I just use a junky surprise bought from NPC seller.

  16. Since there are so many complaints about not enough players online & not finding battles in the OW, why not create an area for those interested in PVP to fight. If you want to battle without searching, and are not interested in small or large battles, set up an outpost in La Tortue. In that pirate area there will be no alliances, Brits can fight U.S, for example. Then, if you cannot find OW battles, tp to your outpost there. Just a suggestion. :/

  17. With the creation of the alliance, an attack of ur ally partner would be (and will be in future) some kind of green on green, so older agreements were outdated. But as I said already multiple times, we are always open for gentlemen war´s, joint limited war missions for RPG, arranged PBs, and so on and so on... To have some kind of actions like this, both communities need a base of trust and respect towards each other, which is also linked to the diplomacy work of both parties. As far I remember, danes "warned" us, if we would not allow french to pass, french and danes would attack us

  19. You're welcome lytse Pier. I think most of the council member are actually reading these posts, so you should have an offical answer of your demand quickly. Kierrip will answer you as soon as possible (he aslo have a real life so he will do what he can). In order to dispel doubts maybe you could explain your point of view of white peace, (port situation, pvp situation, what belong to who) so that everyone can't denied what is written and like that the council we be able to clearly know what you're talking about. regards

  20. I can only confirmed that he cannot speak in the name of the french council. The actual and only official diplomate (seen as the only one allow to write official communication about what the council has decided with the dutch and swedes nation) is kierrip.. Every other talks are only personnal opinion. So atm if kierrip didn't wrote that, it's just not an official decision of the french council.

Not particulary approving the idea, but just want to say that, in this case that should not be repairs kit (quantity too high and don't take any space in hold), but materials physically carried in the cargo hold such as; wood, masts, canvas sails, nails and so on... Repairing you ship will consume X of each materials, depending on the reparation needed, (leak, mast / rudder broken, canon destroyed, sails torn and so on) if you run out of particular material then you can't repair anymore. Not using all the canon should increase the cargo hold in this case and in general. Concerning the up

  23. I like this as long as you dont have ALL loses in battle listed as killed since they were not.. ie maybe 30% were dead at most the rest wounded or incapacitated . Other wise the current battle exit system will just ensure that even if you win a fight you will die when you come back into Open World

The negotiated peace of the first French-Dutch war left the Trinidad area to the French as a gesture of involvement towards (not to the diplomats, not to the clan leaders, but) the player captains of the French Nation.   29. This game is currently ruled by the people with a statistics and number fetish. Timer here, timer there, a bit more so, a bit less such, a few seconds added, some hitpoints tweaked, etc. This game needs more romantics creating lovely content that make it less worth to even consider a lonely gank, because there are much more fun things to do in the game, like getting your heavily guarded fleet of silver trying to be captured by pirates and when the do considerably hurting your economics and trading income.

  32. I'm going to leave this, despite it being a direct violation of the rules regarding discussion of moderation. We remove posts that have no merit whatsoever. "This game sucks, I'm leaving" is basically worthless feedback, adds nothing to the discussion, and doesn't really help to advance development of the game.   33. ok, edited out the portions that are a bit less relevant.. but ok. Well, some of us are not in the game to "make" unusable money. I figure my idea was to help folks to be able to craft their wares more rapidly. I am trying hard not to see this as a difference of cultures. (Yours Poland, mine USA). But I have come across the other end of the supply and demand issue as well. You see when you have too much of one thing.. it devalues it to the point where you have to reduce your prices. That's called supply and demand. Now surely when a product is high in demand, the prices will go up... yeah.

  35. I'm fine with the Independence as a ship of the line, but there are better American examples out there. And with the razee plan falling well out of the timeline, I don't see how anyone could support it. Maybe it's just me. Personally I'd love to see as many ships from each nation make it into the game, but there will be limitations I'm sure, and this is one that would fall into that "maybe we shouldn't" category.

  36. By all means, include the useless 1814 Independence whose maindeck gunports were submerged when the ship was fitted with it's design armament. I mean, if you don't mind the devs wasting time and effort modeling a ship no one will sail. The razee is an 1836 design that falls well outside NAs period and would completely obsolete much more historically significant and interesting vessels.

  37. Sure, let's just go ahead and obsolete the Constitution in favour of a 1836 design that never fired a shot in anger and can best be summed up as an expensive mistake.   38. When I read the title I thought "Great!! A new feature will be an added aspect to the game that requires us to supply the ship with food and water". No sarcasm. I was excited. I was disappointed to read the first post and find that this is just a addition to crafting that really has nothing to do with a new feature. Ships will run forever with out refilling. I had hoped that the devs were about to include a system where ships need to put into to port and refill water barrels and restock on food (for a fee) ... after several months of in game sailing.   42. I dont really like this system as it places way too much power AND responsibility in the hand of an individual. Those people not only have to manage port timers but now a whole bunch of other stuff. i would much rather a guilds that own ports have a % vote of parliament so their votes in parliament reflect their influence over the world. Perhaps guilds could combine together in a way to form parties or factions within a nation. And I would much rather have a national VOTE to determine ruler, instead of just who has the most people helping them capture ports and no life. Perhaps down th

  44. Made my first very long trip to visit Louisiana couple of days ago, I have Sigrfierd's map opened in gimp with different layers for different routes and one for a big compass I made myself. I made a point to not use F11 x,y coordinates in this game , planned my route before starting as seen here : After the first step i calculated the time it took in minutes and took the distance in px on the map to estimate next step travel time and same for the 2 others, to my surprise it was really accurate, more than i ever had expected But i would like to have something similar inside the

  45. I agree with this mostly, honestly navigating now is very easy, when i started in the open world, there were no maps, we used those player made maps, now with the in game map and the compass, it is quick to learn to navigate.
