  1. After the last patch, there is a 6 second cool down on the ships bell. Please remove that. (yes, you can ring the ships bell in combat by pressing "H".)

  2. hold H a tab appears with three to four messages you could "ring" out pick one and then the bell would sound, we get the use of the bell without the bell trolls.

Having the Colour Blind option in Battle is great and its appreciated that this mode was introduced very quickly after I first raised it on the forums some while ago, the simple colour change was an instant success. Open World and In Port UI is however still troublesome. The issue is Red text I and others who suffer cannot see it without extreme eye strain. This text appears above enemy ports in the high seas, and also in the crafting menus when insufficient parts are available to craft the current highlighted recipe. When Colour Blind mode is selected for your game, could the s

  7. Hi, Navigating in the OW is a challenge and I love the scary part where there is no land insight and you are already some days at sea. For newer players it is common to get lost at least once, didnt we all? Back in the day, the Navigations officer would take his sextant out at noon and establish the position of the ship. Wouldnt it be a cool feature in game when: At 12am ow-time a message would popup and you could see your rough position on the ingame map? Grtzzz Bubbles

  8. I would like to see the ability to load my guns with a specific load out before even engaging the "enemy" and entering the arena. I could select a different load based on the ship I'm attacking and decide the type of attack I wish. As it is now, the first load is ball, which is fine for a sniping style attack, but if I want to be point blank before attacking, I want my first load to be double, or if a ship is faster than me, then I would load chain to be my first load. All of this, of course, would be done while still in open world before clicking the "Attack" button.

  10. If you don´t want ships which have never been built, then you´d need to remove the yacht and the Cherubim, too Submitting fictionnal ships, as long as they have a credible design, should be possible, in my opinion.

  11. Would like to an answer to this question and as the paint applies to OW. Would be ecstatic if the answer is YES! National paint schemes and spyglasses in OW would result in improved awareness.

  12. One to keep in mind for the next voting: french sloop Guirlande 1757 http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/83660.html Pretty extreme and 'modern' lines for the 1750s, reportedly very fast in the right conditions. 18*6-pounders.

  14. As i wrote in different topic. Wood type shouldnt impact on sailing parameters. Stronger hulls should be heavier. Only weight should influnce on sailing attributes like speed turning acceleration. Same logic should be applied to whole game mechanics, cannons goods in cargo. heavy mean slow, empty/light should be fast. ofcourse its related to hull design and type.

Doubloons were 16 reals etc… (in one of my posts somewhere i have them all…) I would be nice of we hads A) Name gold into Reals or B. Name gold into the default currency for that nation! For Spain, real paint schemes: » Different types of design paintings of Spanish ships . the type of pattern to paint the ships was already regulated in the Royal Navy since 1776 and in subsequent ordinances that left to the discretion of each commander or engineer stockpile paint a ship outside the established norms. But these rules were not always met and often painted ships was quite different to what should be a desired uniformity , in many cases following the prevailing fashion in the navies of other countries. It is also true that these cases had occurred more often before t

  26. Nice A. Roux drawing you found there, Henrik!. That´s either Havruen or Thetis, their sister ship Freia already is in the player selection thread Which 2-3 'fictional types' do you mean? Serious question And one thing to keep in mind when talking about (dutch) fluytes: one of the reasons they fell out of favour till the mid-17th century is that they´ve been rather ill-suited for extended voyages in tropical climates like East/Westindia due to their high upper deck and very narrow stern and were replaced by the dutch pinas ship for long distance hauling rather

  29. Perhaps a compromise: a "sticky keys" situation, where if you exceed ringing the bell in a short amount of time (such as smashing the H button), then it will shut off for a bit. Otherwise, just a few hurried clicks will not trip this system. Just a thought.

  39. Some may try to keep the line-up reasonable and coherent, though. A Trinc next to traditional galleon (that´s what Hairy Fishnuts wrote, Mirones. The horse ain´t dead enough) would make me want to smash baby kittens onto a wall. And a dutch fluyt of the 17th century isn´t the same as french flute from mid-18th century. Like a frégate de 1er ordre isnt the same as frégate de 12. Both carried 12-pounders and were called 'frégate', but the former is a two decker from the 17th century, while the latter is true frigate like our Belle Poule. Names do not count, designs do. Don´t get me wrong
