Since I shouldn't vote for them all, even if I want to, I only picked those that I'd actually want to see in use in the game.  Also there some silly ship designs...especially the danish and dutch ones.

But was fun going through all of them and seeing the variations, I hope it'll be that different when meeting others in the open world.

Delft! :D Would be awesome, I reckon, for the Delft replica program as well to see the same ship virtually and sail it! :D

Pity that Zeven Provinciën (Seven Provinces) isn't in the list or Royal Charles or the Batavia, but maybe because it was already broken up in the time frame of this game? Like is it anything that (still) existed from 1700 to 1825 or so?

So, how will the voting process continue. We can now vote at a large list of vessels in a voting round called 'initial poll'. How many (if any) rounds are next? what are the criteria for a vessel to make it to the next round?

Cheers,

Brigand

Does availability of plans not matter? Seems many did not meet the requested requirement of plans.

I would think that would come into play perhaps as a tiebreaker if the voting is close. I know some of the posters said they could not find any plans when posting their ships. Hopefully the admin will chime in.

Man there are so many good ships and I selected many.

Top of my list though:

Prince de Neufchatel (1812, American 18-gun schooner)

This would do wonders to balance out the smaller ships.  We are in despirate need of a ship that is different than the snow and brig in the lower tiers.  For speed reasons, this ship would be very useful on the open seas and is a perfect ship for a privateer.

Hard to find any info about that. And sources don't seem to agree whether it carried 42 or 54 pieces.

Reading through the various (online) sources, I gather that the this type of ship (it was the 20th ship build along the same plans) generally could carry p to 54 cannons. The Amsterdam was equipped with 42 for its planned voyage.

Yet, the information is somewhat 'thin', so I could definitely be wrong. Also, I cannot find any information on the weight of the cannons.
