Malachi
I may have already posted the sheer plan for this one, but it lacked the details for the stern, quarter galleries and the head, so I combined the two sets so you can see how the 'complete' ship looked like. Dimensions (imperial feet) Length: 118' 6'' Breadth: 31' 11'' Draught aft: 14' Draught forward: 12' 11'' Length to Breadth ratio: 3, 71 Armament 20 8-pounders 10 Falquonettes (1-pounders) Crew 173 Other ships in class: Tranqvebar (1762), Alsen (1764), Færøe (1766) Launched in 1774 at Friderichswaern (Norway), broken up 1793.

Malachi
She´s a cutie, ain´t she? And she comes with a complete plan set with two inboard profiles, cross section, various views of the decks, plans for all three ship boats, even a seperate plan sheet for the caboose. A ship modeler´s wet dream I love how the danish combined a french hull shape with british construction methods and proportions, resulting in a very unique style. That´s one the reasons most of the danish frigates carried a rather unusual armament (either 20 8-pounders or 24 12-pounders). A british frigate like the Coventry with a very similiar length carried 24 9-pounders and a couple of 4-pounders, french La Renommée carried 26 8-pounders and 4 4-pounders, but was 14 feet longer, about the same size as british and danish 12-pounder frigates. Didnt quite make its 20th birthday She would most probably have been broken up after 25 years of service anyway. In the second half of the 18th century, danish frigates got two big maintenance repairs, one after 10 years, the other after 20. Then they were surveyed every two years and usually deemed unfit for service 4 or 6 years after their last big repair.
Niagara_1812
Wow, you found a plan for a Danish Ship, I've been having quite a hard time tying to find plans for Danish Ships in general. I've been trying to get a good set of plans for HDMS Holsteen, a 60 gun ship of the line with no luck...
