Olof Cederström
Wow! Really great job man! I only got a litte question, are you a dev or are you just building for fun? You don't have the staff title here on the forum so I just don't really understand.
maturin
People are building ships in the hope that they will get added to the game later on.
Olof Cederström
Ah, right. It'd be a shame if it doesn't get added then.

Malachi
25k tris, but it´s not optimised yet (mirrored parts with 'seams' etc, rails with unneeded edge loops etc). With cleaning up, maybe 20 to 22k

Malachi
Not much overall progress to show, just adding countless tiny little bits and pieces that make that thing look like a proper sailing ship... *sigh* Edited April 5, 2019 by Malachi

Psilander
I was thinking about whether this and other independent ships will be added or not.
kumisz
This project is really great, especially since its a swedish ship. Thanks for your work.
Siegfried
If this ship were in the game, she will be one of that ship you always have in port and sailing beside Renomee and Belle Poule. That white paint scheme is really wonderfull. I voted Venus in the actual poll, she is the same class of this, right?
Malachi
Yup, Venus was the fourth ship of this class And thanks for the kind words, guys, much appreciated!
Olof Cederström
The transom got some much needed love, next stop: quarter galleries. (yes, I know that´s not the swedish naval flag ) Yeah, right. As you probably know, this would be the correct naval flag for Sweden: (Mid 1600-1815) Very good job anyway with the ship Malachi!
Malachi
Thanks! However, this project is on the back burner until the player ship selection is over and I know if Venus made it, wouldn`t make much sense to model her when a sister ship is made by the devs. But I wasn´t lazy and started on a ship yesterday I wanted to make anyway. And I could 'salvage' a lot of parts I used on the Bellona 23k tris and pretty happy how she´s coming along so far: A frigate armed with 24*18-pounders and 12*6-pounders, designed by af Chapman in 1798 to hunt danish smugglers at the swedish west coast. Sort of like Americans armed with assault rifles for hunting varmints.
