Little news.
After leaving Marseille, l'Hermione crosses the Gulf of Lion to anchor again in the bay of Rosas.

Well, the music of Pirates of the Caribbean ... I do not know.

Here is the video, to my knowledge this is the first time a video about Hermione does not paint an idyllic sail where "everything is beautiful".

- sea sickness
- almost crushed fingers
- a fore-braces that gets stuck in the night with many wind
- a jib difficult to bring back
- Fatigue, doubt to go up to tighten the mainsail and the pains.

The "real life" sailing. Away from the postcards.
An eighteenth century rigging with the enormous requirement that it implies for the sailors, from the commander to the topman.

But it's fantastic to a live this !!!

In 2019 l'Hermione leaves for the Channel. After the great French arsenals of Brest and Toulon, the £ 12 frigate goes to Cherbourg.

Here is a first planning of the navigation of 2019:
April 27, 2019: Departure from Rochefort -> La Rochelle / La Pallice (for a dry dock)
May 5-9: Cherbourg
May 11-12: Dieppe (to be confirmed)
May 14-16: Ouistreham
May 23-25: Saint-Nazaire
June 4-6: Rives-en-Seine
June 7-16: Armada of Rouen (big meeting of sailboat)

Then the return

Leave it to a former NA player to make better L'Hermione videos than the professional PR team:

Ryan is a friend. He is Canadian. He helped the NA developers some time ago. Besides, it was on the forum that I knew him and we ended up aboard the l'Hermione! We sailed together in 2018 :)

After a night anchorage in Falmouth Bay in 2016, we cross the Channel to go to Saint-Malo.

We just took a reef in the spritsail and a big container ship crosses us from the front.

I am at the top left, I leave the spritsail to climb on the mast of bowsprit to return on the deck :)
