We, the active and labeled captains, leaders, and sailors of the Association of United Society Leaders (AUSL), do hereby present this, a

Code of Conduct

for the captains and sailors of Naval Action.

This code, to be followed by all active members of the AUSL, as well as all those duly undersigned, here now and in the future, hereby declare this set of laws, rules, regulations, and penalties of the sea, as deliberated and considered by all acting leaders of the AUSL, and in common council of their respective members. The codes are as follows:

I. Concerning behavior at sea (in-game)

1. All captains will abide by the rules set forth by the Admiral of the Fleet and the collective council of the Admiralty (Administrators and Developers), duly stated and outlined here. These rules and regulations take precedent over any and all concessions made herein by the collective commune of captains.

2. All captains duly undersigned will treat any member of the Admiralty with the utmost respect, and will always act in a cooperative manner. As such, all captains are called to inform themselves of the identity of all members of the Admiralty

3. Under no circumstances should a captain attempt to impersonate a member of the Admiralty.

4. Proper and respective use of profanity is acceptable, however only within the realm of reason. Any overtly excessive use of profanity or any profanity directed at a fellow captain or group of captains will not be tolerated.

5. Any overtly excessive use of correspondence (in-game chat) in an aggressive fashion towards a fellow captain or group of captains will not be tolerated. Any excessive statements directly attacking the person or persons will be met with utmost discretion.

6. Personal threats of any kind, fictitious or otherwise, will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

7. In the heat of battle, the occurrence of mistaken friendly fire is almost inevitable. However, firing upon an ally with deliberate and conscious intent to harm will not be tolerated. The same holds true with instances of friendly ramming. Should an instance of mistaken friendly fire occur, the antagonist should apologize at the next most convenient time.

8. Any intentional exploitation of in-game mechanics for personal gain will not be tolerated.

9. While in battle Captains will conduct themselves with the utmost honor and respect for both their compatriots and their enemies. This implies that captains will look first to preserve the well-being of themselves, their ship, and their crew, but will be mindful and do all in their power to assist their fellow captains, and are encouraged to do so, without impeding upon their own well-being. When facing an enemy, captains are expected to fight with the utmost ferocity and zeal, while conducting themselves respectfully in correspondences (in-game chat).

II. Concerning behavior in port (in the forums)

1. All captains will abide by the rules set forth by the Admiral of the Fleet and the collective council of the Admiralty (Administrators and Developers), duly stated and outlined here, concerning behavior in the forums.

2. Captains will be respectful of others regardless of creed, location, or race. Captains will also be respectful of others regardless of Nationality, in-game or otherwise

3. The utmost effort will be taken to ensure that replies and statements will be on-topic, and avoid any destructive or belligerent statements.

In effect, all captains who make their mark do hereby agree to a state of complete and absolute compliance of the codes stated above, as well as taking on the inherent duty of protecting and promoting the codes stated above.

Failure to comply to the rules and codes set forth will result in immediate reprimand by those senior captains within the community. These reprimands may include, but are not limited to:

· Dishonorable Discharge from the AUSL

· Exclusion from any guilds, societies, or trade organizations who have lent their signature to this decree.

Those having agreed and duly signed do hereby declare that they will abide by the codes and rules stated above, lest they find themselves at the whim of the community of captains and sailors at large.

Those active members of the AUSL, and therein displaying its official seal, do hereby declare that they will abide by the codes and rules stated above, lest they find themselves at the whim of the community of captains and sailors at large.

The undersigned present this decree in the hopes of establishing a greater community, in which cooperation, understanding, and civility are championed, where new captains may find a welcome environment in which to flourish, and where veteran captains may prosper in common council with their peers.

The Decatur Armada, which includes all present and future members of TDA (The Decatur Armada), are pledged to not only abide by this Code of Conduct but also to promote and uphold it!

We will quickly raise issues and concerns to the NA Admirality and player base as prescribed above and expect others to hold us accountable to this pledge. We are all human and mistakes in judgement occasionally happen and, in most cases, they can be rectified and/or atoned for. TDA response to any flagrant or repeat offenses by one of our members can range from a TDA Courts Martial to immediate dismissal from the TDA Fleet, as deemed appropriate by our leadership team. This would be seperate and/or in addition to any NA Tribunal or Admin actions.

Applications for membership in The Decatur Aramada by those NA players who have flagrantly violated this code of conduct will be summarily rejected. Those applying for membership in TDA do so with full awareness of our absolute commitment and adherence to this Code Of Conduct as well as our commitment to the full Naval Action playerbase regardless of membership in TDA, to the Game Labs staff, NA volunteer moderators, fellow guilds and fleets, and to the spirit, honor, respect, and tradition prevalent in the time period that Naval Action is place in.

This is our open and public commitment to our full Naval Action Communitity!

There should not be a question in anyone's mind as to the type of communitity that we are pledged to respect and uphold, for the benefit and enjoyment of all!

Respectfully,

Adm. Saintduiex

Admiral Of The Fleet

The Decatur Armada
