add DLC suggestion or CM buy of the 2 big books

Recommended Posts

Dear admin,

i would highly suggest to get the 2 big books (gunnery and the ship handling)

excuse the names are not perfect typed

to either be turned into optional DLC or able to gain easier.

as as of current i am at 393 ow fleets since i even seen a book that represent a part for these..

combining this whit the facts that some people have lives, jobs, family.

currently if books are found they go for over 10 milion easy making it nearly imposseble to gain these.

either maybe make them CM  earneble. even if it goes above the 500/600 cm each book part the master books or 2000 for the lot ?

or turn them into a DLC. each of these books to balance it on  my side will take 3 to 4 skill slots. obviosly i and i assume others  wont be getting them anytime soon.
Because i am not able to play 12 hours a day all week long.  but if i come in a pvp match other side have it. i am far from gaining any chance to the effort as i need 4 skill slots to even balance one of his. This also give people the feeling other ship is op  i wil assume

Currently

i hope / asume in my clan i am nr 6/7 in the row for this. book.

whit i know the nr 1 is been trying to get them for wel over a year whit the clan helping out. he is 3/4 i believe.

nr 2 got 1

nr 3 0

nr 4  0

nr 5 0

nr 6 0

so at current pace somewhere around december 2051  i wil be on turn.

this part is demotivating.  i wil not stand the chance. atleast for navy loodsman for example i have a chance / see how i get there.

Its a good tip and i sure wil / keep doing

but my point remains make it a dlc.optionable. or huge amount of CM :)
just to keep the "real active but not able 10 hours a day"
in the game on a fair fight

just for the simple reason the books are too powerfull. right now its almost elite only allowed.

Just remember that loodsman in PvP-mark value is rougly 30-45 million (100-150k per mark). If you manage to get 300 marks you should be able to trade your way to the better books.

I think it's quite alright that we have books that are hard to get, if everything could be gained within a month of playing, wouldn't that be boring?

You mean it isn't that way ?... 😮

Must be playing the game wrong then. Must delete character again and see where I missed. Enough moneys and rank and ships even before a month was due...

thats what u say. i been playing for wel over a year. i am not even close to have that one.
and i wont be for a while but atleast i see the light at end of tunnel for that one.

for these 2 powerfull (too powerfull if the otherside dont have them)
it makes the difference between both side a lot bigger then i can be the better captain but i not need to be 10% better but  i need to be 50% better.
there is where it strikes me. the dev's want more income. here is the way todo it.  not whit ship other side cant have if they not have a job.

i dont mind pvp. but i do mind knowing ahead of time  i wont stand a chance.

Why are you being a constant dick towards me? I'd like to know....... It seems that nothing I say is right in your eyes - there are obviously people having trouble getting the books, yet I support it being difficult.

Look m8, you better drop that "my myself and I" attitude. I will do the same. But you know what...

You better properly TEST the game two fold - as a casual and as a invested types of player. Can you do it ?

As a casual, day in day out, 2 hours of pve, in two weeks was max rank and with all Admiralty books. So cut me some slack.

As a invested PRO one can "farm" everything in a MONTH, so again cut me some slack.

...  I have the feeling that for testing phase everything is inflated, but that might be just a wrong feeling.

Suggestion to have everything acquirable through Admiralty / Pirate Den has been posted many times.

Too be honest i dont know if u are talking too me.
but hey i want to say. as u can see. in my original post.
i play what i can. i even keep record of all the ow fleets i did.

i am mirely complaining there is no light at end of tunnel. like i stated navy loodsman is also on my longterm goals list.
but i know what i work for. that makes it different.

if its a dlc it suports te creators (for  all i care it even cost on top of the dlc  cm marks by 2000 - 4000 to redeem.
but there is also not a half skill book.  to even the ods halfway or 1/3 . the gap of having 1 or 0 = already to the point of 4skill slot vs 1 let alone 2  skillbooks.
i not ask to make it easy but cut slack to the point where its not hopeles..

at the current rate i hunt fleets instead of even thinking about pvp but yet the ones ready pretty much complain there is not enough pvp. :(
And do not call me lazy or any such way my clan wil testify. i make all my stuf my self. i am commited. to what i want. i work for it. but light at end of a tunnel is all i ask for i come up whit a solution thats all.

i crafted 120 same ships to get a golden too my taste.  and curently into 60 new attempts  towards the gambling of a spare one

this i dont mind because along the way u walk into ships u like for ure fleet or too sell or a purple etc. :)

Alright "Mate".. I am looking at it from his (Speijk's) perspective, he has a family and is a busy man - whether you like it or not he CANNOT get everything in 30-days ingame. The reason that you and I are able to do that is because WE know pretty much everything there is to know about NA already,  there is a good chance he doesn't.

I merely acknowledge his problem BUT stand by the Developers (As you do so often) by saying that the system we have now is good. So how about you cut me some slack and have some understanding for this Game-labs customer's situation and try to help him out instead of going straight at me?

Not at anyone directly.

It is all a big TEST.

You are right in your assessment.

I totally understand what you mean.
Fun for everyone is our mantra (in 2018) and we will see what we can do. I reset my character very often and try to always look at the game with the fresh eye.  before the release we will try to give alternative options to get rare books and upgrades (giving a clear path - not a pure random chance).

I like your mantra. Keep it for many years.

My suggestion, getting the rare books or refits through pvp marks or victory marks.

First rate epics are your best friend for getting the super books. You will get a handful of the piece books every event.

..yes, but make them smaller and bring the traders out of the zones to give the hunters an alternative hunting ground. Don't do that..the hunters will leave (maybe what much traders wanna see)

Safe zones are a new player issue.  They need them.  But this is not my problem as a merchant.

It's rather that serving as a clay pigeon for magic PvP marks doesn't yield a particularly interesting game. If you want traders out in the open world, fix THAT, and reintroduce some realism to the raider/merchant interaction.  I expect to be chased, and occasionally caught.  But what goes on at some of the economy chokepoints is quite the incentive to exploit the heck out of stuff like teleports.

Over several months of play I have found fleets and escorts problematic to actually use.

I have no opinion on PvP rewards vs warships. But regarding traders:

1) for a prize agent to pay out, there ought to be a prize, either added to a fleet, or sent to port via the AI with some reasonable portion of the raider's crew.
2) or, if no prize taken, whatever cargo can be salvaged from the hold.

And if upgrades went into the hold where they belonged instead of being teleported as if they had no mass #2 might actually be quite valuable.

I think its funny that "hunters" wants to reduce the safe zones so they can hunt there prey=traders easier but most "hunters" have no ideas to make it better for traders or make it a fair fight. If you change the balance towards the Pvp players even further you will have traders leaving and no one wants that right? I am tired off the focus spent on pleasing the PvP oriented players at the cost over Traders and PvE oriented players. If you have more content for traders and PvE oriented players you will have more targets to hunt so why not find ways to please them but with a balance.

I do not as a trader want large zones where a player can sail afk or be unattackable but I also do not want to be helpless when attacked. There needs to be a balance and that will increase content for both sides. A reason to leave safe zones but it should not be suicide if attacked in unsafe waters.

Atm, trader ships have less skill slots then a warship which I assume was introduced to stop people to have boarding fitted super traders hunting other traders, but it makes it unfair as a raider/hunter can be boarding fitted and speed fitted and most traders have to choose.

Also, hold weight have a large impact in ship speed. A fully loaded trading ship is much slower, which is ok and fair. However most warships was also fully stored for long voyages and thus should not be able to have so much repairs in hold and still only take a small penalty max speed. If you increase your crew for example it should require more stores to have them onboard thus decrease your free hold and decrease your speed.

We need to somehow find a way to balance the speed as its very hard to get away even if your unloaded with speed mods on your trading ship.

If you want a raider, you should be forced to sacrifice crew/or guns to save weight and thus increase speed, but atm raiders can have both as speed is king atm.

Also, I want to again ask when is TRADERS marks incoming and when can I buy speed upgrades that allows me to sail away from hunters or load insane amounts of goods with no speed penalties.... Just asking cause I would love to be able to get great modules/skills that can only be obtained with TRADING marks and since many PvP oriented players on these forums whine about not wanting to do any trading or PvE yet think that PvP marks is the best choice for anything that you should be able to buy ingame...
