La Requin nerf needed

Am I correct that when using a pirate/elite pirate refit this ships doesn't get the main sail handicap as it doesn't have any?

Exactly. In fact it seems to get a buff downwind since it increases your sail power, just jib sails are not as efficient downwind so the buff is smaller.

 

No downsides though.

With the right ship all sail force mods are broken (14% speedboost for pfrig) but hey just my opinion

This seemed more fair. Lots of speed loss up wind. The le requin makes no sacrifice which is the problem.

Lol this topic should be closed becouse some here are juat crying

Pirate rig is very effective becouse ship only has jibs.

They can nerf it but also return money too all who bought it

why? is the dlc conected to mods?

I'll shed some tears then: if we added a premium (imported) ship with a speed mod that is only usable by this ship and gives around 5% speed boost. Would you say this is a game breaking mechanic?

not directly its how mod is designed couplec with unique sail design. My testing with pirate rig showed that requin is bad in sailing with the wind

perhaps but maybe they should look at mod first?

 

Requin is popular if we go by how much im seing them so so why nerf a ship that is selling good?

Bottom line is that none of the old 6th rates are any use at all now.  That is an issue

I don't care what happens with the dlc ships,  as long as they keep the servers on.  The ship dlc's though need an advantage i guess so people buy them to combat others with them or to increase E-penis.

 What devs need to do now is introduce another ship better than the first 2 on dlc, and the $$$ will flow. 

I won't buy them though tbh.

Thank-you.  I would truly miss the fun of sailing and fighting different ships.  All the 6th rates should have something which makes them unique and valuable to specific player styles.  Some prefer the maneuverability of the Snow while others want the heavy punch of the Niagara or the high speed of the Prince.

The only nerf I would make is to make it redeemable once a week rather than every 24 hours.

If it was ever finished you so should release that "outlaw" paint for the Heavy Rattler...I know shameless plug for return of paints.  Ok well by this week I'm going to assume by next week since this one is pretty much almost half over and we still haven't gotten the Econ Hotfix added.

Regarding the the german sub forum: both ships could have been shit ships and people would still have bought them in order to support the game (they are even more happy about the dock expansion). I bet when gamelabs would place a donate dlc people would use that as well.

Probably only if people can show others how much they donated 😛

eg

$10 - "lvl 1" badge nex to the name / or blue name

$25 - "lvl 2" badge next to the name / or purple name

$50 - "lvl 3" badge next to the name / or red name

...

A specialized title for your name might be fun and mimic history to some degree - Order of the Bath, Baron,, Lord, etc.  :)

I was willing to pay for the ship because of the speed capability. As long as they don't nerf the speed on it, I will not complain.

Just make it the most fragile ship in the game. Mast made of toothpicks with paper thick  broadside armour. Spec it like the Lynx..

Whoa, I got the ship specifically because I want to just spawn it every day if needed. It's so liberating to not have to go through this crafting crap.

Then what’s the point in them ? Your crazy to say that PBs are the only content, when we are lucky to see one pb a day. Patrols and OW pvp are the bread and butter of this game. Both of these let you use these op ships to kick ass. I sunk a bellona with my Le Requin today 1v1.
