Control perk changes 

  • Perk control can be switched off in the beginning of the battle, if you do not want to use it.
  • There will be a button for the first 5 mins that will let you decide if you want to control on or not.

mousover over a port on map looks still like no UI. Should be changed

 

I kinda dislike the join port button

 

Northern carpenters eyes look into different directions, is that on purpose? :D

New UI is interesting. A bit buggy, but an ok change from the old style.

 

How long until you add more OW game mechanics besides fishing and AFK sailing? I'm talking about things like, board games with the crew (or yourself) listening to period music, sea shanties by the crew?

 

Basically, more interaction with the game during long sails?

 

The new patch is great and all, but at this point, the game is greatly lacking in playable depth. The OW is extremely basic and boring. Something really needs to be done...

 

Anyway, I'll see you all in another 8 months. Maybe then, we'll see something really new...

Steam has not approved them yetstand by.im sure when available there will be an announcement

Out of two and a half years of expierience I can certanly tell you that the sale is not significantly increasing playernumbers but rather the alt percentage compared to real main accounts. 

The game just drowns in thousands of other game sales and you really need to search for it on steam to find it nowadays.

Great update! Love the map, and haven't tested it all yet, but will we be able to adjust the scaling on the UI? The buttons feels to small.

May I suggest a somewhat simpler compass interface; sails and speed outside compass rose, read arrow for wind, simple direction icon for ship.

Map - please consider restoring the grid to the map, would make it easier to describe positions.

 

Move the icons currently centre bottom to top left horizontal or top left vertical.

Strange thing. I tried to exchange a ship between my two French accounts, this was working until yesterday.

Impossible today (I have room left on the docks). the screen freezes after "accept trade". Nothing else to do then than "cancel trade".

Trading some stuff (barrels) worked just after.

F11 made on both accounts.

EDIT: I put the ship on sale by "Eleazar" and "Eleazar de Damas" purchased it OK. ==> Nothing was wrong in docks and other things.

But I lost the taxes (I'm French, and so, used to losing taxes! 😉)

This is good, but what is the reason why you can't trade with other nations? We can when docked in the port. Shouldn't it be player's choose and freedom to act?

Also trading in battle is what REALLY would spice the game. Specifically hunters. As I have suggested before, an ability to offer to pay ransom instead of loosing the ship and the cargo is an awesome feature.

Again it will be up to player whether they want to trade or not. After all it is not compulsory.

broken :(.   shame was in a good battle 3 bellonas and 2 ai frigs vs 2 enemy vics. we all got kicked and can't log in again.

SLRN is still around? How curious. Do they still try to dictate strategy to other British clans?

You must have had serious lag issues as you did not notice there were 3 Bellonas in the battle, Hans dropped and reconnected then dropped again, you appeared to be going for the kill when you too dropped then your mate also disconnected. Henry, who was almost sunk by this stage, and myself did not disconnect and got out of battle. I think it was you and Hans who then appeared in OW and remained there till the log off timer (I could have tagged you for the afk kill). Not sure what happened to Ghastly as the AI were still shooting him when we left and he was sailing on autopilot.

I think it was lucky for you there was disconnects or you would have lost your Vics 😋
