Deck Cannons not working on Hercules (F11-report sent)

Just to clarify the rather brief F11 report I sent earlier.

While unlocking knowledge slots on the Herc I noticed that regardless of crew setup befor pulling (Sailing/Guns/Boarding etc) and/or (de)activated broadsides (F5) the 'Fire Deck Guns' option in the boaring menu permanently stayed disabled (greyed out). Boarding preparation also had no effect on it. Is this just me missing something obvious?

Ok the issue of this being a bug is solved, but does this make sense?

The hercules has gun decks that can fire at navybrig level, even if not the top decks. Would these guns not fire in a boarding situation?
I'm kinda curious about this, would they keep those gunports closed to stop people jumping through them or throwing grenades in? or what.

It is still a legacy system where we did not plan that we will have very light multideckers. For math it does make sense - 3 decks vs 1 deck. 
We don't think it is a critical issue at this stage; also it makes some ships unique and more useful in certain situations like boarding higher class ships (like prince or hercules).
